"I will set up two tanks. I think this is a great spot too. I can place one of the tanks here. You guys find the best way to distribute the water to everyone.

As I said before, I will add some medicine into the water so that those who drink it or use it for cooking will have an opportunity to take it." Chu Miao thoughtfully repeated what she had said to Commander Shen earlier.

"Okay then, let me call a few soldiers to guard it to avoid the people from raiding it and taking all the water at once." The leader solemnly declared before turning around and walking away.

He came back a few minutes later followed by five soldiers, each equipped with a gun. Even if they won’t shoot anyone, they could at least keep the people in check to avoid trouble.

"I have already explained the situation to them and they will guard the water. Two of them are in charge of distribution, so we don’t need anyone else to intervene." He added quietly.

"Okay, Little Miao, do what you need to do so that we can move to the next location.

I don’t know if your friends have found suitable places to build watchtowers. We need to start moving as soon as possible." Commander Shen urged Chu Miao.

Without waiting for any more words to be said, Chu Miao brought out a water tank from the warehouse in the Soul Ring and placed it in the spot identified.

When the crowd of people that had followed them saw the water tank, they nearly trampled over each other trying to get to it.

Fortunately, the leader had been insightful and guarded against such actions earlier on.

The soldiers stood in different directions guarding the water tank with guns pointed out.

This stopped those who were eager to get the water in the tank for fear of being shot to death.

"Everyone, no need to hurt each other over water. Go back and get your buckets. You will receive five liters of water everyday for you to drink and cook.

I know this is not a lot, but at least, it will make sure you don’t die of thirst." Commander Shen tried to calm the crowd down.

He thought that the people might find five liters of water too little and cause trouble wanting more.

What he didn’t know was that some of these people living in the base could go for more than two days without even obtaining one liter of water.

So, to them, five liters was equivalent to giving them life. At least, they would not suffer from thirst.

Moreover, some families could send two or three people to get water, gaining more than ten liters.

Before the words could settle, the crowd was nowhere to be seen. Everyone had gone back home to get a bucket to fetch water.

Commander Shen gave the soldiers guarding the water tank a few instructions before leaving with Chu Miao and the leader to the next location.

When they identified the best spot for another water tank, the same process was used with soldiers guarding the water tank and the people being urged to take five liters of water per day.

Each water tank was around fifty thousand liters, so it would serve the people for a couple of days before refilling.

Since there were two tanks, the water would be enough for the population in the West area to use for at least two days.

Once they were done with the issue of water, Chu Miao and Commander Shen left and went back to the president’s residence to meet with the others.

Once back, Chu Miao found that Ye Xuan was already waiting in the living room with Gu Fan and Pei Ming.

Murong Yi had also come back from his family visit together with Li Kun. Moreover, they had brought their brother and cousin with them to help with the planning.

Just as they were sitting down, Jing Xian and Lei Ying walked in as well. They had also come back from inspecting the area in the South to find a good place for the watch tower.

Luckily, the people there were very welcoming after getting help from the team and the gang leader there was very cooperative in helping them identify a good spot for the watch tower.

"It was great. We found a great spot for the watchtower and also left some water for the soldiers and their families there." Chu Miao smiled happily as she explained this.

She felt more comfortable talking to Ye Xuan than anyone else.

This was especially so ever since both of them recovered their memories of the immortal realm.

"The North has a gate leading out of the base. It wasn’t difficult to find the right place to build the watchtower there because constructing it close to the gate is the most logical action.

We also determined the height of the tower to be above eighty meters to make it suitable for scouting the surrounding area without obstruction." Ye Xuan continued to explain and the others nodded.

"The height we determined for the watchtower in the East and South should be the same as well.

I believe sister-in-law also got the same results in the West. Now we need to start moving the construction materials and find builders to get them started." Pei Ming rubbed his chin as he talked about what to do next with everyone.

"I noticed something else that might be advantageous to our battle with the zombies. I am not sure if you guys noticed it as well." Chu Miao suddenly said after they finished talking about the beginning of constructing the watchtowers.
