Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 89: Talisman Ink
XIe Ziyuan’s face instantly darkened.
He was about to smash the person when the other party suddenly scrambled away, as if he was aware of Xie Ziyuan’s sudden change of mood.
Xie Ziyuan’s dark pupils zeroed in on the other person, instantly noticing his identity from his scent.
The other party almost shrank away because of Xie Ziyuan’s intense glare, but remembering his current predicament, he straightened his resolve.
"Mister... do you need some of black blood like the one you were going to buy earlier?" Duan Heng asked. He stammered a little. "I-I know a place that sells such blood. T-the owner definitely won’t cheat you..."
Xie Ziyuan’s jaw tightened, and he shot a sharp glare at the bighorn sheep beastman, making the latter become quiet.
He took a deep breath, and after he let it out, he told the bighorn sheep beastman in a flat tone. "Lead the way."
"Of course, Mister." He beamed. "I will definitely lead you to the best shop around here."
"Please, follow me." He started to walk, making sure that Xie Ziyuan was within a distance where he could still see him. This silver wolf beastman seemed to hate people touching him. Fortunately, he was quick-witted to withdraw before Xie Ziyuan chopped his hands.
Xie Ziyuan quietly followed the bighorn sheep beastman.
He didn’t bother to find out whether Wei Rong and Zhou Yunhan had woken up before he went out again. Last night, the two returned late, each wearing a contrasting mood.
Wei Rong seemed to enjoy himself while Zhou Yunhan had a frown on his face, troubled by something.
Duan Heng brought him to a secluded alley street. The more they walked, the quieter it became. The place looked like a den of criminals with suspicious beastmen occasionally glancing or examining them.
He stopped in front of a small store, which resembled a dumping place for garbage.
Not only the walls were dark, making it look even more dirty, there were bones, rags, scraps of wood, dry leaves, and many more.
"Mister, we have arrived." Duan Heng said awkwardly, a little embarrassed at the store’s condition. It indeed didn’t look convincing. Afraid that he might run away, Duan Heng hurriedly opened the door, "Let’s go inside. I’ll go call the owner."
"Old Wang, where are you? You have a customer!" Duan Heng shouted.
Xie Ziyuan stepped inside. Surprisingly, it was quite clean. As if the owner deliberately dumped his trash outside. Even so, the scattered items still resembled his thatched hut...
"Duan Heng! What are you doing here? You aren’t going to freeload off me again, are you? Scram, go away!" An irritated voice rang out, and a beastman appeared from inside.
If not for the large scales on his neck, he would have looked completely human.
"Old Wang, don’t be like that. I brought a customer for you..." Duan Heng sighed.
"Customer? They are going to cheat me out of my things again, aren’t they? These people are really uneducated, taking my items I dug out from the pre-apocalypse like cheap goods." He snorted, shaking his head.
"This time it’s really a customer." Duan Heng tried to give him a hint to look at Xie Ziyuan’s direction. Sometimes, Old Wang was so chatty that he was afraid he might be robbed of his things in the future.
Fortunately, the garbage dump on his front door deterred thieves and criminals away. It made them think that inside the small building was also filled with garbage.
However, even after his hint, Old Wang didn’t seem to notice Xie Ziyuan’s presence. Scared that he might be going to rattle all of his secrets, Duan Heng hurriedly pulled Old Wang and brought him to Xie Ziyuan. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"This mister is looking to buy your item, Old Wang." Duan Heng introduced.
Old Wang blinked, analyzing Xie Ziyuan briefly before he became startled. This man’s aura was too oppressive.
He cleared his throat, a little wary Xie Ziyuan might rob him. There was an unspeakable sinister aura around this silver wolf beastman...
"Do you have blood?" Xie Ziyuan opened his mouth.
Old Wang was startled. It took him a moment to realize that Xie Ziyuan wasn’t referring to his blood, but fierce beast blood.
He cleared his throat, feeling a little awkward. "Of course, we have some here..."
His eyes glanced at the silent Duan Heng. If he brought a robber to his store, he would definitely settle the account with this sheep. Who cares if Duan Heng’s horns were sharp? His scales were also powerful!
He could even bury him alive.
"There is a lot of rare blood here, Mister," Old Wang introduced the fierce beast one by one. "This black blood isn’t from zombies, but some kind of fierce beast. The other one had the most red color. It’s from a rare horse fierce beast, white in color..."
Xie Ziyuan swept his eyes on the vials. Although the store owner didn’t seem like a neat person, he still knew how to store the blood so that they won’t lose their efficacy.
"I’ll take them all. How much?" He asked, not waiting for the pangolin beastman to finish his introduction.
The word made Old Wang somewhat nervous. There were a total of seven vials of blood. "This..."
Xie Ziyuan was still waiting, slowly nearing the end of his patience.
The pangolin beastman gritted his teeth inwardly, finally saying his price. "Eight four-order crystal–"
Before he could finish, he saw eight crystal cores on the table, sparkling, showing their purity.
Both Duan Heng and Old Wang had their eyes wide. They had never seen so much money. Although Old Wang opened his store, few customers actually came.
The money he earned could barely help him to fill his stomach with the lowest rank of fierce beast. On top of that, their meat was also unpalatable.
Xie Ziyuan swept the vials into his arms, intending to leave, but Old Wang stopped him. This time he had the genuine smile of a store owner.
"This mister, why don’t you look around some more? There might be something you like!" He hurriedly said. "I am a pangolin beastman and I awakened an earth ability. As you know, the era before the apocalypse was a prosperous time. I dug up quite a lot of items from that era."
Seeing Xie Ziyuan nodding, he led him to another small room. Xie Ziyuan listened but he wasn’t interested in some useless phone or rags.
However, his eyes finally landed on something.
"This stone, how much?"
Old Wang was startled. "This stone..."
