Shaking his head, Li Ming returned to his backpack to put away the big crowbar and the long spear and then climbed into the driver’s seat to drive out of the apartment complex.

As he drove out of the complex, he followed the safe route he had previously identified and soon crossed a road and entered a blind spot from his previous view.

He didn’t stop directly. Because even if there were monsters, descending from the car to investigate could alert the monsters to his presence. By the time he would notice them, escape might become impossible. It would be better if he kept driving so that he could rely on the car if he encountered any monsters.

He was relieved to find no monsters on the road. His car easily dragged a few zombies behind it before entering the next road.

He intentionally tossed the three drill bits to the right, allowing them to roll onto the ground. The sharp ends glinted with a cold light.

A howl, which diverged from a typical zombie’s groan, more alike a beast’s roar, emanated from the mouth of the mutated zombie looming ahead. The large-bodied zombie charged forward, reaching out with both hands to claw at Li Ming.

“Inhale!”

Li Ming took a deep breath and then held it. He put all his strength into his two and a half meter steel crowbar, lunging forward with a powerful thrust.
