Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies-Chapter 78: RV
Chapter 78: RV
Meanwhile, in City D, the Heather family successfully integrated their members into key military operations.
Everything was proceeding according to their plan.
They actively involved their members in logistics, gathered intelligence, and assisted with recruitment efforts. Each family member played an important role, showcasing their skills to build trust and lower the military’s defenses around them.
In a bunker room, several members of their clan were engaged in a meeting when a sudden knock interrupted their discussion.
"Sir, we received an urgent call from City B," a voice announced from the doorway.
"Let me have it," Jack Heather replied, his irritation evident.
Jack Heather picked up the satellite phone, and an urgent, distressed voice heard through the line.
"Boss, the bunker was attacked with explosives!" the Irong Gang leader exclaimed.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked, his brow furrowing as he processed the bad news.
"Some individuals infiltrated the bunker and placed explosives around the inventory section," the Iron gang boss explained, urgency rising.
"We need an expert to assess and fix the damage."
"Idiot! That’s the only job you had, and you failed. What good are you now?" Jack snapped, frustration evident in his voice.
In addition to the bunker they had established in City D, they had also built one in City B as a backup. They planned to recruit individuals from the underworld to build a powerful force in City B, aiming to take control of the area through intimidation.
"I will send someone there, along with a team, to head to City A," he added, his voice steadying as he channeled his frustration into a plan.
Yes, the Heather family was now planning to capture City A’s military district. They strategized meticulously, considering every possible options and resource at their disposal to insert a spy into the military ranks of City A.
"I will wait for them, Boss," the Irong Gan leader replied, relieved that Jack’s anger had calmed down.
"This is your last chance," Jack Heather warned, his tone cold and unforgiving.
"If you can’t execute this properly, then it’s better for you not to show your face anymore."
"I’ll do better, Boss," the Irong Gan leader promised.
Jack Heather couldn’t shake the feeling that things weren’t going as their ’insight’ ability had predicted. He suspected that someone was deliberately sabotaging their plans.
’What is causing all of our missed opportunities?’
Unbeknownst to him, Elena had no idea that her actions constantly disrupted every plan they had in place.

A few hours passed, and Oslo finally spotted the signboard for City A in the distance. As they drew closer, they noticed signs of human activity along the roadside—people walking, vehicles passing by, and small groups gathering around.
This puzzled Elena and Ethan as to why these individuals were not entering City A.
’Was there something keeping them from crossing the threshold, or were they simply choosing to stay outside the city for some reason?’
They immediately asked Oslo about the situation in City A.
"Chief, the military has closed the border in City A and is currently on high alert due to the criminal activity in City B. According to Ms Shantel, there are rumours that the criminals are planning to infiltrate City A," Oslo explained.
Then continue with a serious tone, "They are thoroughly checking each individual who wants to enter City A."
"I see. Then we should find a secluded area first to change our vehicle. This one is far too conspicuous; they might think we’re some criminals driving an armored vehicle," Ethan said, scanning their surroundings for potential hiding spots.
"With the military on high alert, we must be extra cautious. Let’s ensure we’re not drawing any attention to ourselves."
Oslo nodded in agreement and carefully manoeuvred the vehicle away from prying eyes. Once they reached a secluded spot, he stored the armored vehicle in space before retrieving the RV.
"Chief, Sister-in-law, let’s go inside!" Oslo said excitedly as he began to introduce the RV’s specifications.
Seeing this, Elena was captivated by the modified RV.
According to Ramon’s wife, this low-key RV featured a powerful engine, an upgraded suspension, a reinforced chassis, and advanced electrical systems.
These enhancements offered exceptional durability, comfort, and versatility for adventurous travellers looking to explore diverse terrains while enjoying the comforts of home.
Well, she wasn’t wrong; this kind of RV truly lives up to its reputation.
They quickly stepped inside the RV, greeted by various essential and comfortable features designed for convenience and enjoyment.
The living area boasted convertible seating that could easily transform into an additional sleeping area, making it perfect for accommodating more people.
It also has an entertainment centre with a flat-screen TV and a sound system, providing a cosy spot for movie nights or relaxing after a long day of adventure if they can’t go to the space for various reasons.
"It looks just like a real house, except that it can travel," Elena remarked, her eyes wide with amazement.
They also discovered a cosy dining area with complete tables and storage options. The bathroom included both a toilet and a shower, while the bedroom featured a comfortable bed and ample closet space.
Additionally, the RV offered plenty of storage compartments, heating and cooling utilities, and outdoor access for extra storage. Modern amenities, including smart technology and slide-outs, further enhanced the living space.
They could use the storage compartments to stack items for appearance purposes.
Travelling in this RV would undoubtedly be comfortable, provided they didn’t encounter any villains trying to rob them along the way.
’If there’s really someone stupid enough to try, heh, let’s see if they can handle my fist.’
"Living in this kind of RV isn’t bad at all. With a complete set of life essentials, this would be in high demand during an apocalypse," Elena said with a thoughtful expression on her face.
Ethan nodded in agreement as he carefully checked the equipment inside the RV.
"Hmmm, let’s rest for a while," Ethan suggested, stretching his arms.
"I’ll head into Paradise first to update them and check on our newly added members," Elena replied.
"Okay, go ahead, wife. I’ll catch up with you later. I want to take a closer look at the RV specs first," Ethan said, turning his attention back to the vehicle.
