Are You Crazy? You're Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?-Chapter 233: This Time, Let’s Go Big! Drug Dealer Remnants? You’re the Target!
Kolyev gave Werner a smile before casting a glance at everyone and leaving. Kolyev’s departure indeed took a toll on the confidence of the remaining program inspectors. However, catching Wang Yun was non-negotiable. They had faced too much humiliation. If the show ended with each of them quitting voluntarily, it would be nearly impossible for them to reappear in the public eye.
In the livestream, people were in an uproar over Kolyev’s exit. Many were baffled as to why he chose to leave after Wang Yun had spared his life.
“I totally get Kolyev. If it were me, I wouldn’t want to live in disgrace either!”
“Yeah, getting a second chance from a criminal is worse than death!”
“But as Wang Yue said, we don’t have give up in our dictionary!”
“A real man bends and stretches. Giving up over such setbacks is lame. Use this to motivate yourself to catch Wang Yun!”
The audience had mixed opinions, but they all agreed on one thing. Wang Yun was incredibly formidable. This attempt to capture him had failed once again.
Meanwhile, the mastermind behind it all was having a hotpot with his brothers. It was a heavy meal for them. The hotpot was paid for with Old Song’s blood. Aside from a few plates of lamb, the table was filled with tripe, Old Song’s favorite. The waiter found it odd, watching these four guys devour tripe like crazy.
“In three days, we’re leaving Xiyun City,” Wang Yun said, looking up at everyone.
They were stunned, staring at Wang Yun in surprise.
“Before we leave, Old Song’s death won’t be in vain,” Wang Yun continued.
“What do you have in mind, Boss?” Brother Hu asked.
“I’ve got one human mask left, plus the one I’m wearing, that’s two masks.”
“Remember the guys who hired a hitman to kill me? They’re still in Xiyun City.”
Wang Yun’s eyes darkened. He hadn’t acted against them before because there were too many other things to handle. Plus, the hitmen were hired by the remnants of that drug dealer group.
What Wang Yun planned to do next was crucial: gunpowder. Yes, he needed to take out those guys and get his hands on their gunpowder.
Of course, this gunpowder would be simulated by the program team. Wang Yun couldn’t rely solely on melee weapons. He needed some more powerful weapons in his arsenal.
“Boss, do you plan to work with those guys?” Little Gang asked.
Brother Hu rolled his eyes. “Are you stupid? Boss isn’t a real criminal. Those guys are an actual drug cartel. How could we work with criminals? Boss probably wants their weapons, right?”
After Brother Hu spoke, Wang Yun smiled and nodded. Out of the four of them, Brother Hu understood him the best.
“Exactly. To get their stuff, we need to take them out first. I’ve learned some of the chemical gas stuff Old Song was working on. With our slingshots, crossbows, and such, our chances are still low. The most important thing is that we’re up against real criminals this time. Are you guys in?”
Wang Yun looked at them seriously. Just a while ago, they had done the cliff jump. Now, they were up against real criminals again. Each mission was dangerous and real, making it hard for Brother Hu and the others to digest.
“Boss, don’t be so impulsive. The police are investigating these guys, and we don’t even know their exact location. They already sent a hitman after you once. Don’t take unnecessary risks,” the executive producer, hearing that Wang Yun was planning something risky again, quickly spoke up.
Normally, the director wouldn’t interfere with Wang Yun’s actions. But this was different. It could be deadly. The danger here was far greater than the cliff jump. These guys had real guns and knives, and one wrong move could be fatal.
“Relax, I took down a hitman organization before. This small group is nothing,” Wang Yun said calmly.
Brother Hu and the others exchanged glances, their resolve unwavering.
“We dared to jump off a cliff. This is for our country,” Brother Hu said with determination.
“Even if we weren’t part of this show if we ran into these guys, we’d still take them on,” Little Gang added with a smile.
Wang Zi nodded from the side. “Just thinking about it is thrilling. This time we’re up against real criminals. Boss, if we actually take them down, we’ll be heroes in real life.”
Instead of any worry, Brother Hu and the others were excited.
Wang Yun shook his head. “Don’t think about honors. The producer just said that the police are already pursuing these guys, but they haven’t located them yet. We need to find these people ourselves. And if the police find out we’re getting involved, they definitely won’t allow it. So, we have to do good deeds without leaving a name.”
After Wang Yun finished speaking, the four of them exchanged glances and raised their glasses in a toast.
The producer’s team didn’t notify the police about Wang Yun’s plan because they weren’t even sure if Wang Yun could find these people. It would be a waste of police resources to act on uncertainties. Additionally, the police in Xiyun City couldn’t see Wang Yun’s livestream, so they were unaware of his intentions.
The next day, Wang Yun slept in until late morning, which confused the viewers even more.
“If he’s going to take action and eliminate these criminals, wouldn’t he do it in the middle of the day?”
“I think Big Brother was just talking. Finding those guys isn’t easy!”
“Talking isn’t Big Brother’s style. Besides, I don’t want him to find them!”
“Remember the hitman organization? Big Brother turned off the cameras for three hours, and it seems he really took them down!”
“Someone said it was Big Brother who did it. Otherwise, how did he suddenly have thirty new followers?”
“If Big Brother quits the show, the police will probably recruit him. He’s an exceptional talent!”
“Many people would love to recruit Big Brother. But if he finds those guys, our livestream will get interrupted again!”
“I doubt he’ll find them. He doesn’t have the resources!”
Despite hearing Wang Yun’s plans, most people in the livestream didn’t believe him. While they thought highly of his physical skills, they doubted his abilities in surveillance and investigation. Even Brother Hu and the others found the task daunting.
The person they were most worried about, Wang Yun, had just found a place to wash up. After freshening up, he took off the human mask and casually tossed it onto the table.
