Kai sat inside a restaurant with Mira across from him. It was time for him to see how things were looking stat-wise and other things. He wanted to be done and head back to Aoi.

There was a lot of work that he needed to do now. Having more than five thousand viewers was already a massive thing, and if he didn’t work on a proper system, he would be in a lot of struggle later.

He pulled up his stat screen first. He wanted to see how far he had grown. Being able to reach level ten in two days of the game was very crazy already.

"That’s a lot of stat points, let me assign that later, for now I have to choose my class," Kai muttered.

While he was talking to himself, their food arrived. A waitress brought it over and placed it on the table. As she did, Kai unintentionally noticed a tattoo on her wrist. It looked like an abstract demon head, and for some reason, it pulled his attention a lot.

The lady noticed him looking at the tattoo and quickly spun her wrist to hide it.

"Here’s your food," she said, pulling his attention away from her hand.

"Oh, thank you," Kai replied with a calm smile. She gave a polite bow and then walked away.

Kai didn’t think about the tattoo anymore. He turned his attention back to his class issue while Mira ate her heart out, also feeding some to Cuddles, who eagerly gobbled the meat up.

Kai controlled the in-game system, pulling up the class selection screen.

Normally, the system would give one single class, the one you were most fitted for, but for a few people, two would show up.

As for Kai, he was now looking at three classes, which immediately stunned him.

’I have three classes to pick from? Is that even possible? I understand Warrior and Mage, but what class is SPELLBLADE?

’Wait, so this is this game’s version of a battlemage? I thought this game already had a battle mage class. I had no idea of spell blade, and they seem pretty similar in their use.

I don’t understand the need for a different name. Hmmm,’ he pondered about it, then he looked up at Mira. ’She seems pretty knowledgeable about certain things, maybe I should ask her.’

"Mira," he called to her. She looked up from her food and looked at him. "Hmm?"

"Do you know what the spell blade class is?" he asked, and the moment she heard that, her eyes lit up.

"Yes yes, sister had a SPELLBLADE class, and father always praised her for it," Mira said.

"Oh? Tell me more about it please," Kai asked.

"Well, sister was capable of using the spear and magic at the same time, sometimes merging the two. She was unbeatable and extremely strong. But father always said that she had to train extremely well and hard, more than the rest of us, to be able to use it properly." ’Her sister had it huh? Mira speaks about her family like they are really powerful, and she is a powerful support mage as well. I’ve already seen that, so I can only imagine the strength of her siblings. If their father says her sister is good as a SPELLBLADE, that has to mean the class is decent.

It’s also a rare class. I might not get the opportunity to get something like it again. Hmmmm, I guess I should go for it, hopefully I don’t regret whatever I choose.’ Kai came to a conclusion on what he would be going for.

"Spell blade, let’s see what you are like," he said as he selected it.

"Shit, I forgot about that. I can’t log off here while I wait, tch, I’ll have to head back to the inn," Kai muttered to himself. He looked at Mira. He was worried about her, but the last time he left, nothing happened to her, so he knew she would be fine.

"Hey Mira, I’ll be heading off for a bit," Kai said and then handed her some gold.

"Okay," she replied with a smile as if she knew what was happening and where he was going.

Kai got up and left the restaurant, heading for the inn.

’I wonder what the game is like when I’m off, what does Mira do, what do the NPCs do when no one is actually watching?’ he wondered to himself. He couldn’t wrap his head around how it could possibly work, so he tossed it to the back of his mind and kept walking.

Unknown to Kai, after he left, Mira got up. She walked into the back of the restaurant and saw the waitress that had served them.

The waitress locked eyes with Mira and then immediately bolted for the back door. Mira didn’t run, she walked after her, and for some reason, everyone that was there didn’t pay heed to what was happening.

Mira walked out of the back door, with Cuddles still in her hands. She looked around and the waitress wasn’t there at all.

Then from the sky above, the waitress came down, her fist balled up and covered in flames. Mira stepped back and dodged the attack. It slammed into the ground and cracked the floor.

"I didn’t do anything, stay away," the waitress yelled.

"You got too close, I can’t have that," Mira said, and then suddenly dropped Cuddles on the ground. She snapped her finger and Cuddles received a buff that turned him into a two meter tall powerful wolf monster. The waitress looked at this, her eyes filled with fear.
