Assassin Dad and His Genius Daughter-Chapter 12 Newcomers
A'Meng's House,
"Where did Boss Hui disappear to?" A solemn voice had resounded into the eyes of many in a desolate room, the voice belonged to an average-looking man with a buzzcut and a facial scar on the side of his face.
Zhu Dong had made a special trip to A'Meng's house, to discuss with Boss Hui their upcoming plans. He had been waiting for Boss Hui and his men for a day now, but there seemed to be no traces of them whatsoever.
"We've been looking for any traces of them for an entire day now. We found nothing at all!"
One of the last few men standing spoke up loudly in fright, a familiar frail, and a pale figure sat not far away from them; he had his head lowered and didn't speak. It was none other than A'Meng, the only survivor.
'I suddenly woke up alone in the dark alley, I went back to find Boss and his team but they were all gone,' A'Meng thought inside his head, his body shivering.
A'Meng immediately remembered what he saw before he passed out in the corner of that alley, he shuddered immensely thinking of the scene.
He recalled sensing his mouth was being closed off before he woke up in that place!
Although he had recalled such things, he didn't dare open his mouth due to his timid and reserved nature, he could only grit his teeth and look at them with pitiful eyes.
"Boss Dong! A'Meng was with them that day," They pointed at him suddenly, causing a fright to his previously weakened heart.
Everyone turned their eyes to A'Meng who had lowered his head, even more, Zhu Dong approached him and cast his cruel and bloodshot eyes onto him.
"Where are they?"
"I…I…don't know," A'Meng shook his head repeatedly, stuttering endlessly.
"Weren't you with them? We are not blind!" Zhu Dong approached him and kicked him hard in the shoulders, causing A'Meng to stumble backward.
Zhu Dong dared to act as such due to his background, being backed by another powerhouse. Had he been someone ordinary, his legs would have been cut off.
"I was but when I came back, I couldn't find them," After kicking, A'Meng gritted his teeth and stuttered, trying to explain.
"Where did you last see them?"
"Near Ren Ye's house," He replied hastily with an anxious tone.
Upon hearing Ren Ye's name, Zhu Dong frowned and twitched his head slightly, his eyes became extremely serious, "Shaoqing's son?"
"Yes!"
"Where was Ren Ye then?"
"He hasn't arrived yet at that time and by the time I had returned to find Boss, Ren Ye had come back home and the lights were turned off inside the house."
Zhu Dong didn't speak as though he was thinking but the temperature in the room felt as though it had plummeted to zero degrees; cold and unfeeling.
In the end, he chose not to speak and pretended as though he didn't hear Ren Ye's name being called, he had recalled a warning from a certain call a while ago, the call was extremely threatening and caused him to turn cold after hearing it,
'Hurt them? You will be hunted down!'
"That good for nothing isn't worth thinking about, your Boss has gone missing and it is your top priority to look for him," Zhu Dong said coldly, "It is a small town, after all. It'll be an easy task." as he stood up and headed for the door, "I will come back to look for him tomorrow."
"It is getting late!"
Everyone cast their eyes onto A'Meng, wanting to rip him into shreds for getting all of them in trouble.
"Where did they go, you piece of sh*t?" One of them approached him and glared at him with threatening eyes.
A'Meng shook his head and cried out, "I don't know…"
"Tomorrow, we will search around town for his traces!" One of them tsked, "If we can't find him,"
He glanced toward A'Meng and pointed at him, "We beat him until he tells the truth!"
As they chattered, it slowly turned midnight. Most of them had gone to bed, except for A'Meng who was still sitting stiffly in the darkened and desolate room. He didn't go dare go to sleep tonight, recovering from his dilemma.
'Did I get knocked out that day?'
A'Meng had the urge to rush back to the same place again; to find out the truth as to why he had woken up at that strange place and to find the perpetrator.
Under the radiance of the moonlight, a figure clads in black hooded robes and donned a clown mask towered on the roof of the house, he had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
Ren Ye had put Jia'er to sleep before coming here after she had drawn a couple of pictures for him. But due to his upcoming plans and the need for a child to get enough sleep, Ren Ye had ushered her to go to bed early and continue drawing tomorrow.
He had specifically ordered Old Yi to guard his house, for the time being, he had deliberated in advance before coming here; the first place they would come looking for was his house therefore if he had Old Yi guard the place, he would be able to send him a message through the system and this would allow him to strike them unannounced from behind.
In his hand, he held a medium-length metallic pole; it was suitable for hitting a bunch of people hence he had chosen this as his weapon of choice coupled with his mastery of weapons.
'Zhu Dong has left the place quite earlier than I anticipated,' Ren Ye frowned as he thought, 'Else, I would have killed all of them in one place.'
The figure suddenly disappeared from the roof, dispersed along with the cold breeze of the night.
A'Meng went to the fridge to grab a glass of water, as he was filling the glass with water, he felt cold shivers down his spine and turned his head to the window. He had noticed the window was left open; he glanced around and went forward to close it, placing the glass of water on the table.
He looked out the window, noticing the bright moon in the gloomy skin, and pulled the windows shut.
'It is quite cold tonight…'
Instantaneously, he had a familiar sense of fear; the sense of feeling he had in that dark alley. His eye shrank and he turned his head around as quick as possible and grabbed the glass of water in an attempt to throw it at the person. In his vision, he saw a silvery metallic pole swung from the side of his face.
Ren Ye didn't hesitate as he swung the pole with all of his energy exerted into one swing, puncturing A'Meng's head and knocking him out cold.
A'Meng had thrown the glass of water at Ren Ye, who had accurately caught the glass of water but unfortunately, the water spilled onto the floor, making slight noises but not loud enough to wake the others up.
In an attempt to not produce any more noises, Ren Ye hugged the unconscious fallen A'Meng in his arms and pulled him to the side, carefully placing him on the ground.
He took out two thin needles and used them to puncture his vital meridians, ending his life soundlessly and quickly. The needles were too thin as there wasn't any blood oozing from the wound.
'Good thing I caught that glass of water or else it would have shattered, catching the attention of everyone in this house…'
Ren Ye stood up and immediately blended himself into the darkness of the room, he planned to take out some of the remaining men in the living room.
Ren Ye had used most of his time to calculate the number of men inside this house; three men in the living room and another four upstairs.
In the dim and dark living room, a couple of men lay on the ground snoring loudly in their sleep. One of them shifted in his sleep and suddenly mumbled to himself, "Fried chicken…"
In the dark, Ren Ye cast his emotionless eyes onto them. He took out a handful of sharp-tipped and thin needles in the gap of his fingers, he quietly observed them for a minute.
Before long, Ren Ye lifted his hand and threw them; the physical force was transmitted from his entire body and onto his arm, turning the needles into silent and deadly bullets.
He had aimed straight into their hearts!
Every bullet rained onto all of them, penetrating their skin and into their meridians. A couple of them jolted upwards, gasping for air, and gripped their chest; they were struggling to breathe.
Ren Ye didn't hesitate as he took out another handful of needles and exerted his entire body force into the throw, targeting their vital meridians; making sure every one of them are punctured and the needles are pushed deep enough.
All of them were gasping for air, heaving heavily and gagged. They felt as though they were being crushed by a powerful force in the chest, suffocating from lack of oxygen.
Before they could put up a fight, Ren Ye had silenced them first.
He dashed forward with his swift and light feet, producing no sound in the process. He gripped another handful of needles in his hands and inserted them into the penetrated spots in an attempt to end their lives quickly once and for all.
On the end of the needle were tinted with poison he had made using natural ingredients he had found in someone's garden and were produced with the assistance of his knowledge.
All of them began to stop struggling and their heavy breathing began to slowly disperse as their bodies began to relax. The silence in the room gradually became heavy.
Ren Ye stood up and glanced at their bodies lying on the floor with an indifferent gaze; he felt a bit disappointed inside his head.
'I used three batches of needles in one fight and I have less than two left but luckily, they are the ones with poison on the tips…'
He shook his head inwardly and climbed onto the upper floor as silent as possible, there were four men left in the other room.
On the upper floor of the house, four men could be seen sitting down cross-legged and had their eyes closed as they breathed in and out. One of them with a dragon tattoo across his right arm made a disgruntled remark,
"I wonder if doing this will help increase the energy inside our bodies! We have been sitting there for more than 2 hours now and nothing has happened yet."
"That f*cking bastard had specifically told us doing so would allow us to gain super strength! It's been more than 2 hours now!" A lean man donning a black shirt and a face snake tattoo scolded the mysterious man furiously.
"F*cking idiots, you actually believe what he said! That bastard has been going around telling everyone he was a demonic cultivator or some sh*t! Who in their right mind would spout foolish words? They are all delusional for believing him!" A dark-skinned man with a scarred blackened arm reprimanded them with fury and frustration.
"You're right! He seemed like the kind who is mentally ill and goes around tricking people!" 𝗳𝘳𝐞e𝙬𝙚𝚋𝗻𝚘𝚟𝗲l.𝑐𝑜m
By the side of the windows, Ren Ye overheard what they were talking about and was taken aback by the sudden mention of a 'cultivator'. His eyes shrank slightly before recovering and being replaced with complex emotions.
'Is this what system had informed me of? An evil transmigrator?'
'Where did these four get this information from? Who is the man behind these words of cultivation and energy gathering?'
Ren Ye shuddered and gripped the needles in his hands, wary of what to come next. He would be done for if these four turned out to be cultivators but luckily, he figured out these four were amateurs in cultivation.
'I need answers of who this man is but I need to take out a couple of them first…'
Ren Ye lifted his hand and swung the needles tinted with poison with all of his body force combined, aiming them for their necks. The man with the dragon tattoo cursed out in pain as he placed his palm over the invisible wound at the back of his neck,
"F*ck, why did I feel my neck just crack?"
"Same! Why do I suddenly feel itchy on my neck as well?"
One of them coughed roughly, he had been punctured by a needle near his throat.
The man with the dragon tattoo winced in agony and he rubbed his wound repeatedly, much to the approval of Ren Ye. Rubbing the wound allows the poison to activate and spread more quickly.
They began to feel nauseous as the urge to gag overtook their nervous system, the other one began to cough intensely and struggled to breathe through his mouth. He rubbed his throat, trying to soothe the pain and not knowing it would worsen his condition.
Ren Ye didn't stop as he threw the last batch of needles.
All of them began to collapse on the ground, gasping for air, and coughed intensely. One of them had lost consciousness and went cold, the others were still struggling for their lives.
"Who…" They coughed out a word.
Ren Ye, clad in a black hooded robe and a clown mask, opened the windows and swiftly entered the room; bringing along him the cold wind from outside.
He didn't finish them off yet as he squatted onto the ground and beneath the clown mask, he gave them a sincere smile.
"Gentlemen! Could you tell me what is the name of the man you mentioned?"
Ren Ye had altered his voice to make it sound significantly deeper than his usual voice as he asked them in a sincere tone.
