Avoid the Protagonist-Chapter 3: Same Name (3)
Near the end of the novel, Chen Sinan was completely enraged when the villainess’ husband, Lin Hui, caused Sheng Wenyang to miscarry her one-month old baby. Within half a month, the Xin family and their company went bankrupt, and both Xin parents committed suicide in tears. Xin Siyue lived for less than a year before dying miserably.
For some reason, the reader Xin Siyue was in a sour mood after reading the novel, perhaps because she shared the same name as that woman.
Her name was obviously very special. How could a villainess be given the same name as her?
Although the woman’s fate was miserable and the male and female protagonists won a happy ending as expected, Xin Siyue wasn’t happy at all.
The more she read this book, the more her heart felt choked.
Suddenly, she stood up, picked up the book, and put on her slippers before walking out of the room. ‘Better take this out of my sight so I can forget about it!’
She had this thought as she hurried down the stairs. Without paying attention to her feet, Xin Siyue felt her slippers accidentally slip off a step and her whole body soon rolled down the stairs.
Her efforts to save herself were futile.
It took a while before her body stopped falling down the steps and excruciating pain enveloped her. Her eyelashes trembled and she could barely see the book spread open in front of her. The text ‘bled so much that she died’ was stained with red blood.
The wet sensation seemed to spread from the back of her head.
Before Xin Siyue could think of her life this past month, her vision blacked out and she fainted.

“Siyue, Siyue, are you awake?”
Xin Siyue woke up in a daze. Hearing someone call out her name, she struggled to open her eyes when an intense pain throbbed at the back of her head.
She recalled that just before, she was so angry that she decided to throw away her novel. Instead, she rolled straight down the stairs, probably knocking her head against the sharp edges of the stair’s corners.
‘D*mn it, it hurts.’
She subconsciously frowned from the pain.
A woman’s happy voice rang out: “She’s awake! Hurry and call a doctor!”
Xing Siyue slowly tried to open her eyes, but all she could see was the vague image of a middle-aged woman with delicate makeup. She seemed to be looking at her with worry…
“Siyue, are you finally awake? You scared mother to death!”
Xin Siyue’s eyes narrowed. ‘No, no, how can she be my mother? My mom was obviously a country woman. She would never wear makeup with elegant clothes!’
‘I must be hallucinating.’
Xin Siyue closed her eyes and went back to sleep.
It seemed to be late at night by the time she woke up once again. As she looked up, the brilliant crystal chandelier up ahead was just too dazzling. Xin Siyue unconsciously reached out her hand to shield her eyes from the bright light, but someone suddenly caught her wrist. Then, she heard a steady male voice say: “Don’t move, your arm is attached to the IV drip.”
Somewhat puzzled, Xin Siyue woke up properly and looked at the stranger beside her. “You are?”
At her question, the handsome young man, stiffly stared at her before scolding: “Who am I? I’m your brother!”
‘Brother….’
No, she should be an only child! Of course, illegitimate children outside her father’s marriage can’t be counted!
Xin Siyue was very confused at this moment. The more she tried to think, the more painful her head felt.
Noticing her pale face, Xin Qiancheng composed himself and solemnly asked: “You don’t know who I am?”
“Huh?”
“Do you know what your name is?”
She replied without even thinking: “Xin Siyue.”
The man touched her forehead and happily said: “Well, it seems that you haven’t completely gone stupid. I’m Xin Qiancheng, your brother.”
‘Xin Qiancheng? Why does that name sound familiar?’
Xin Siyue suddenly recalled– this was a name that appeared several times in the novel–the villainess’ brother!
No way! What just happened?!
