Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 211: What Is Eternity?
Chapter 211: What Is Eternity?
A deadly silence had fallen over the space; the air was heavier than ever. Unlike the Paragons’ sermons, here, no one dared to speak.
Suddenly, a divine presence enveloped everything. Everyone turned to look toward the entrance. In that moment, as the dim light faded, it was as if time itself bent and even breathing became harder.
From within a silver mist, like a veil drawn between the mortal world and Eternity, he stepped forward—not with the clanging of metal boots, but with a stillness that seemed to carry truth itself.
He was the Prophet of the Faith of Eternity.
He wore a long and majestic robe woven from golden threads. With every movement, it rippled like waves through time. Even though his face was hidden behind a layer of white mist, every being—from the weakest creature to the strongest sorcerer—could feel that they were standing before something beyond understanding, beyond reality.
No sound came from his lips, but the minds of everyone present filled with alien, ancient, and deeply meaningful words—words that felt like they had been carved into the soul of the world since the beginning.
His right hand slowly rose; each finger glowed like a golden flame, but without heat. With every motion, the mist around him swirled into rings, and time twisted forward or backward—as if his mere presence ignored the laws of the world.
And even though nothing could be seen in his gaze, everyone somehow knew he could see—their past, their future. It felt like nothing could be hidden from him.
Just by seeing him, Daniel felt his very existence unraveling.
So this is the power of a demigod? For a moment, he felt fear—but quickly pulled himself together.
This presence was even more suffocating than what he had felt from that unknown woman in the Broken Valley.
The Prophet sat on the cushion. No one could even guess what he was thinking. Minutes passed quietly, and not a single word came from his mouth.
Yet no one frowned or complained. Everyone waited patiently.
"What is Eternity?" A voice, radiating with Divinity, suddenly echoed.
The Prophet didn’t greet anyone or make small talk—he began the sermon directly. Of course, most of them had attended his past sermons and were already familiar with his character.
Though only three words, they instantly filled everyone’s minds. Everyone fell into deep thought and didn’t answer right away.
Even Evangelin, Paragon Velmiran, and Paragon Evern paused in thought. If the Prophet had asked a question, then there had to be a reason. A shallow answer wouldn’t do.
Half an hour passed. A full thirty minutes with no one responding, and the Prophet remained silent.
Finally, someone raised their hand—none other than Paragon Velmiran.
The Prophet granted him permission to speak.
"Great Prophet, Eternity means order and stability..." And he went on to explain the full philosophy of the Endurers.
After his explanation, the Prophet said nothing. Silence returned, until Paragon Evern raised her hand and, with the Prophet’s permission, shared the philosophy of the Ashbound.
Still, there was no reaction from the Prophet. After them, the next to raise his hand was the other Paragon, Abraham.
"Eternity means immortality after death... No matter how hard we try, we can’t reach Eternity in this world. So perhaps the truth of Eternity is hidden beyond death."
When his words rang out, all eyes turned to him. It was a new philosophy—but it directly clashed with the beliefs of many followers.
They wanted Eternity for this world, not the world after.
Abraham was well aware that his view would be ridiculed—but still, he voiced it. He felt the Prophet himself had reached the same conclusion—that Eternity in this world might be impossible.
Just like before, the Prophet remained silent. But this time, he turned his head toward his beloved disciple, hoping that she too would share her view.
Evangelin hesitated briefly but eventually raised her hand, and the Prophet gave her permission to speak.
"Eternity is an endless cycle that never stops—birth, growth, death, and repetition. The one who attains Eternity can choose to remain at any stage they desire."
Her words brought total silence again. Until now, everyone had believed Eternity meant being undying—immortal. But after hearing the views of the Paragons and the Saintess, their perspective began to shift.
Maybe Eternity was far more than what they had assumed.
Still, the Prophet didn’t speak. His gaze scanned the crowd, looking to see if anyone else would speak up.
And fortunately, someone did. A young white-haired man had raised his hand. The Prophet allowed him to speak.
"Eternity is both a curse and a blessing. It means absolute stillness—being unchanging in a world of endless change. Eternity stands equal before all things—birth and death alike. They are merely branches that unfold within Eternity. But are they truly Eternity? Of course not... Eternity is what watches over all these events, endlessly, and still moves forward." Daniel spoke loudly and then turned to look at the Prophet.
Truthfully, it wasn’t his own idea—it was Malrik’s view. He only hoped it wouldn’t make him look foolish.
After hearing his words, the crowd stared at him in amazement. Many of them felt like their minds had cleared, as if they had briefly glimpsed the Path of Eternity.
"Good." Unlike the previous times, the Prophet spoke—and it shocked everyone.
He said ’good’? How’s that possible? Who the hell is that guy? Paragon Evern and Velmiran turned to look at Daniel.
Even though they tried to hide it, they were deeply jealous. The Prophet had never praised them before.
The same was true for Evangelin. She recognized Daniel, of course—but didn’t think he had such a deep view on the Faith of Eternity.
"What is Eternity? Eternity means being ready for endless change. It means being prepared to cross the long river of time. Eternity is absolute solitude. Eternity is death while still alive. To reach Eternity, you must kill your past self. You must kill your future self. Eternity means the present." The Prophet continued speaking.
Immediately, everyone entered a state of understanding. The sermon had begun, and no one wanted to miss a word.
Golden auras surrounded all the followers, the Paragons, the Saintess, and even Daniel.
He didn’t know whether listening to the Prophet’s sermon could help him break through his limit—but trying couldn’t hurt, right?
