After waking up, Daniel ate breakfast and went to the Everlight Moon guild building. As he had said, he met Lana before leaving.

He had a short meeting with Lana and received a general report about the information he might need to know about the terrorists. After looking through it, he left and called Sara.

They agreed to meet in half an hour at the capital’s national park, then go from there to the eastern borders of the country. Daniel went there directly, and after arriving, he sat on one of the public benches in the park.

Fortunately, he didn’t have to wait long before Sara showed up.

"Did you wait long?"

"No, I just got here a few minutes ago," Daniel replied indifferently and stood up.

"Are we using a portal?" Sara nodded and then asked.

There were many ways to go to the eastern borders, but naturally the fastest way was using teleportation portals. Even though they had to pay a high cost because of the long distance, it would save time.

"Not necessary," Daniel refused. He had even faster ways to get there.

"Huh? You mean—" However, before Sara could finish her sentence, she suddenly felt herself being pulled into an embrace.

"H–Hey?! What are you doing?!" Seeing that she was caught in Daniel’s arms, her face suddenly turned red like a tomato and even her voice trembled.

"Relax, I’m not going to eat you," Daniel suddenly felt like teasing her more after seeing her reaction, but unfortunately he didn’t have time for that.

Suddenly, the world around both of them went dark, and the next moment they found themselves in a remote desert land. He released Sara, and the girl fell to the ground, breathing heavily.

"What just happened? This place... the eastern borders?" She looked around, and it wasn’t hard for her to realize that this was indeed the eastern borders.

But how? What just happened? How did they get here so fast?

She turned her head, and the moment her gaze fell on Daniel, the shock on her face increased even more. She saw a strange monster with glowing black-purple skin kneeling in front of him.

"Tell me what you found out," Daniel glanced at his Fallen and motioned for it to stand as he spoke.

"What is that?" Sara stood up and looked at the creature with shock and curiosity.

"A type of summon," he answered briefly and signaled her to stay quiet for now.

"Master, as you ordered, I spied on that group as much as I could and obtained significant information," the Fallen began explaining respectfully.

"They have five bases, with the central base located among them and heavily guarded. They have taken nearly half of this land, and the human forces have been unable to stop them."

"The number of their members who attacked this place reaches tens of thousands, ranging from Rank D to even a few Rank S."

"And I also sensed a familiar scent among some of them," it added.

"Tens of thousands, and only a few Rank S..." Daniel muttered to himself. It was a considerable number, but not a problem for him.

He could deal with them himself, or he could use his army of Fallen. The second option was better because the Fallen could recover after some time.

"And what do you mean by a familiar scent?" he asked.

"The scent of the Corruption Worshipers," the Fallen answered respectfully.

Daniel’s expression darkened a little. He had expected these terrorists to be supported by foreign forces, but Corruption Worshipers?

Well, not that he minded. Besides, because of the curse he carried, a war between him and the Corruption Worshipers was destined, and in the end either he or they would be destroyed.

"My brother is working for the Corruption Worshipers?" Sara also understood the truth. Her face looked stiff and shocked as she muttered unclear words to herself.

"They might have just put him under control. It doesn’t mean he’s working for them by his own will," Daniel said when he saw her expression.

Hearing his words, Sara’s face returned to normal, and she took a deep breath. Right, they might have controlled her brother’s mind and were using him against his will.

"Thank you," she thanked him sincerely for comforting her.

Daniel nodded and turned his attention back to the Fallen.

"Where are the rest of the human forces stationed?"

"They have a base within a ten-kilometer radius from here. The humans you call terrorists are about twenty kilometers from here, in that direction," the Fallen said, pointing with its hand.

"Good, so there’s a considerable distance," Daniel muttered, realizing he could start his operation without worrying about being detected.

"What are you going to do? Are you planning to secretly infiltrate the terrorists’ central base?" Sara asked. She had no idea what this boy was planning.

Based on the information they both had, the best approach was a covert operation. If they could secretly enter the terrorists’ central base, they could achieve their goals.

She didn’t know exactly why Daniel had come here, but it was clear his objective was also located in that central base.

Of course, Sara wasn’t sure her brother was definitely in the central base, but there was a high chance she could obtain information there.

However, there were also problems. If they wanted to enter secretly, how exactly were they supposed to do it?

She didn’t have any skill that could hide her presence or change her appearance, and she also didn’t have any item related to that.

He didn’t see any need to make plans or act covertly to defeat and wipe out such a weak group.
