Chapter 280: Chapter 280: Seer

The two of them suddenly found themselves floating in the dream realm. They could see the nebulae stretching to the horizon.

Dream stars floated through this endless space like the starry night sky. These dreams stars represented the dreams of all those who were currently sleeping.

They saw the black dream star they had just came out off. They tried to enter it again but went through it like it was an illusion.

Ved roared, he slashed his claws at the dream star and they passed through the dream star without causing any damage.

" Ved what’s happening?" Naledi asked. He gritted his teeth. " My dream mist left her system in the real world, without it I can’t interact with her dreams."

Naledi started pacing. " So what do we do?" He looked at her and smiled bitterly. " We could try to have my dream mist in her mind again but I’m afraid we might be too late for that."

" We have to try." She said, he took them out of the dream realm. The moment they opened their eyes they flew off.

" How do we find her?" She asked, he shook his head. " I don’t know, I think she said her name was Sarah.

Or at least that how Red riding hood introduced herself so I’m assuming that’s the girls real name as well."

They both knew finding one girl using only her first name would take too long. They didn’t even know which continent she was in.

However there was somebody who could help. Naledi touched him, snow appeared and spun around them, when it cleared they were gone.

They appeared Infront of a huge tower like a puff of snow. This was the library. When they got there they found a woman waiting for them.

She bowed to the two of them. " Your highnesses, my lady has been expecting you."

The two looked at each other, they knew how terrifying the power of the seer was. She was a deeply kept secret in the world, very few knew of her.

Ved took a human form and they went into the library and found the librarian rearranging her book shelves. " Oh my, I did not expect a visit from lady Naledi and your highness, what a pleasant surprise."

She smiled warmly at them. Ved thought this woman looked way too much like her younger sister Aira.

They greeted her back. " We’re here for the seer." Naledi said. " Oh my, I don’t want to keep you waiting then."

The other woman led them upstairs, in a room painted in red they found a white haired woman.

She looked to be in her mid to late twenties and on her forehead was a drawn vertical eye, it was actually a birth mark of sort. " I’ve been waiting for you, tea?" They found two hot cups of tea already waiting for them. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

" I assume you know why we’re here, then you know we don’t have time to waste." He said the moment they got in.

" You’re quite impatient king of beasts, no matter, I will come with." This caught both of them by surprise.

" Are you sure?" Naledi asked. It should be mentioned that the reason the seer was hidden was because she was loathed by the heavens.

The power to peer through fate was one not meant to be wielded by mortals. Which is why most seers had artefacts to hide their actions from the heavens, that’s what she told them.

However her case was even worse. She was from a race called the Fateless. A race that had the power to see the strings of fate.

They were not a very battle oriented race, their combat power was quite lacking but their abilities were special.

Because of that they were enslaved by most races and now only a few members of their race exists.

To begin with they found it hard to reproduce as if the heavens themselves were denying them that right.

And amongst them, she was even more special. Her ability to see through fate was greater than any had ever seen in the history of the universe.

Literally, according to her and her guard, there had never been a being who can see through fate so clearly.

So her people kept her secret because of that. What Ved and Naledi always wondered was why she was here, hiding on earth.

Or why she sought out the Librarian for protection. However they didn’t ask because everytime they did she would just smile and not answer.

What they didn’t know was that she was drawn to them, specifically their fate which should not be possible because her fate was too large to be read and his didn’t exist.

Naledi was a child of heaven, the only one to ever exist, most seers thought other children of heaven have existed before but they had no idea, and Ved was an anomaly that sucks in fate instead, a being that should not exist.

She could see that, she knew no other seer in the universe, no matter how high their rank is can see through these two.

Only she could because her eye was very special. It was the literal eye of fate, or so the legends say.

One thing she was certain of though, the fate of her people lay in the hands of these two abnormal monsters.

" You’re going out?" The librarian asked. The seer nodded. Ved saw the title of the book the librarian was reading.

Beast evolution system: Devourer of heaven. ’ That’s a stupid title for a book.’ " Can I borrow that book?" He asked.

The librarian smiled. " No." She answered and continued reading not paying them any mind.

As they left she flipped onto the next page. ’ The heart that mourned will mourn once more, and those who slumber may wake no more.

On the realm of night unseen by day.

Snow will fall like endless hay.

The fateless sword shall cut away."

She sighed. " I wish you luck." Nobody knew this but the seer but she too was a seer, of sort.

The fate of others is written in her books, including her own and only she could read them.

She looked at the book with her name on it, ’ Not far now.’

The three of them arrived where Sarah lived. They saw a small humble house on the slums of a tiny town in Europe.

They couldn’t feel any presence inside, Naledi and Ved pushed open the door and went in.

The seer sighed, " I’m sorry but it was necessary." She whispered then an ethereal ghost like figure appeared next her.

" Is my task done?" The figures asked, the seer nodded.
