Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 303: LAM
Fire exploded out of Vermilion and turned into thousands of fire birds who all lunged at Cat.
Her body swayed and she disappeared, his eye darted around looking for her. She appeared to his left.
She swung his fan at her sending a crescent blade slash. Her body leaned forward dodging the flame slash and punched him in the stomach.
He tried to dodge but her arm moved like it had no bones and still reached him. He curled up and threw up blood.
His body shot down to the ground and caused a massive earthquake that shook the entire island.
Vermilion stood back up with gritted teeth, she was starting to piss him off. She took a long sip from her gourd then used her ability again.
" ENOUGH." He roared shaking the sky, flames spread out of him like a flood and covered the entire island.
Her alcohol ignited and burnt away leaving her with nothing to teleport to. This caught her off guard creating an opening.
He kicked her on the face with a burning foot sending crashing on the barrier wall. Her face was charred to the point everybody could see her bone.
They did not know is she was dead or alive then she stood up and drank from her gourd. Green wine that smelled like herbs poured out.
After drinking it her body started healing. Even Vermilion realised how troublesome her vessel was.
It could make wine that can give her any power as long as she had the material. Strength, durability, speed and even healing was within her grasp.
He was glad the vessel was only a legendary grade or it would’ve been even stronger than his own.
With martial intent on top, this woman would’ve been more powerful than he was and that terrified him.
There were already too many people in this world who can stand in the way of his ambitions to rule humanity of earth.
Possibly of the entire universe. Even though her vessel was of lower grade, he decided she was still a threat and should die.
Fired gathered Infront of him and condensed into a fist sized orb. The orb then shot out into a beam of fire.
It moved so fast even Cat barely had time to react. She raised her wine gourd to block, a vessel was much stronger than artefacts of the same grade.
Even so, the beam was so hot it turned her gourd red. Most of the alcohol inside evaporated into nothingness.
This was a major blow to her strength but as long as the white wine remained she could still fight.
Five more orbs appeared around him then fired beams of condensed fire like plasma at her.
Her body moved with unsteady steps, bending like she had no bones. She dodged each of them while making it look like she was stumbling and falling.
Then they turned and followed her, the beams had a homing effect. She ran around the entire island dodging the fire beams.
She was not faster than they were, eventually they cornered her from all directions.
With no means to dodge, Vermilion was certain she would die. The Golden monk moved to help.
However even he knew it was too late, he regretted waiting and watching for so long. Just as they were about to hit her.
She swayed like she was going to fall then disappeared. The beams collided with each other and exploded.
The explosion shook the entire island causing wide cracks all over it. Everybody looked around not knowing where she went.
Aira knew though, she had seen everything. When cat spread her wine drops she actually placed a few underwater.
Nobody would’ve expected that as they would expect wine to simply mix with water but Aira knew that wouldn’t happen.
Cat’s wine didn’t mix with anything she didn’t want it to. As expected she jumped out of the ocean and stood in the air.
She looked at Vermilion with blank eyes then burped. " Impressive, I had not expected such a tricky move from you, hiding one of those drops under water.
It doesn’t suit the fighting style I’ve been told about. Are you evolving little drunk?" Cat said nothing.
Aira knew she wasn’t ignoring Vermilion on purpose, Cat if anything was very rude, if she was sober, well she’s never sober.
However if she was in her normal state of half drunk half sober she would’ve been hurling insults at Vermilion the entire fight.
She was quiet because her brain couldn’t process anything that wasn’t related to the fight.
Without even looking at Vermilion she pointed two fingers at him like a gun.
" Boom."
She whispered, a white bullet shot at Vermilion, " Boom boom boom boom." More bullets followed.
Thousands of bullets made with martial intent were fired at Vermilion. Cat was slightly bending her fingers then releasing them like a string.
Martial intent needed movement to work unlike essence technique that can be done with a thought.
This was an actual martial arts technique from her drunk style. A minor sub technique like the drunk fist from before.
She called it, gun of a drunken thief. Each bullets didn’t have much power but they spun like a drill increasing their penetrative power.
Vermilion waved his fan creating a shield of fire. The first wave of bullets was easily blocked and the second.
The third, fourth and fifth but they just kept coming. The issue with martial intent was that it depended solely on how tired the user it.
If her muscles can still handle that move she can do it forever. In her drunken state, most of her pain receptors barely worked.
Meaning she can use her muscles until they’re ripped to shreds which she can then heal from and continue.
In her state, the only people with more stamina and muscle resilience higher than hers were the three strongest beasts in the world.
Vermilion gritted his teeth, he knew this had to end now. The shield suddenly transformed into a fire dragon like the eastern dragon Linglong.
It lunged at her with it massive mouth wide open devouring her bullets along the way. Cat dodged it and just as she was about to attack she didn’t see him.
Vermilion suddenly flew out of the dragon and appeared right Infront of her catching her off guard.
A flame sword came out of the tip of his fan with the folded fan as the sword guard. He stabbed it at her heart.
At this distance it was impossible for her to dodge even with her third martial technique. " LAM." The monk whispered.
Clang, sparks flew as the flame sword met a golden hand. " Forgive me for interfering in your fight benefactor but it would be a grave sin to let one such as yourself perish."
