Beast World: I Became the Little Villain's Mommy-Chapter 454: Extra: Chasing the Evil God’s Wife 19_1
The Nekomata’s eyes were fixed unblinkingly on the Acacia Stone. The unremarkable stone showed not even the faintest glimmer of light. The Nekomata’s heart plummeted, and she withdrew her hand in bitter disappointment.
The young wolf said, "Nekomata, all grudges between us are now settled."
The young wolf’s heartless demeanor displeased many Beastmen of the Green Sand Tribe.
"How could you be like that?"
"That Nekomata truly saved your life! As a female, she even hunted to provide for you. Now that you’re healed, you disown her. What an ungrateful cur!"
The Nekomata was thin and small, and not popular within the Green Sand Tribe. But she was, after all, a young female of their own tribe. No matter her faults, she shouldn’t be bullied by an outsider like this.
Some male Beastmen even roared in anger, "Young wolf, the Green Sand Tribe doesn’t welcome you! Get lost!"
The young wolf clearly hadn’t expected things to escalate like this.
He retorted stubbornly, a touch of arrogance in his voice, "My teacher is here. I can’t leave."
The Beastmen of the Green Sand Tribe glared at him furiously.
Tai Seng was immensely strong and a skilled hunter. His family didn’t consume much, usually sharing any surplus meat with the tribe. The Green Sand Tribe quite welcomed them.
But the young wolf was different. He had, after all, broken the Nekomata’s heart.
The young wolf ended up arguing with the entire tribe. Knowing he was somewhat in the wrong, he stormed off in anger.
Si Yan watched the young wolf depart and whispered to Wang Dao, "Wang, I actually saw the Acacia Stone glow very faintly just now."
Although it was very faint, the stone did emit a soft glow when the young wolf and the Nekomata touched it together. However, such a minuscule glimmer hardly counted for anything.
Wang nodded. "Mm."
The boy is still young, everything is just beginning for him, Si Yan thought. He doesn’t understand things like love yet, only concerned with impulsively doing what he wants. Youthful passion, I understand that. But I wonder when this young boy will understand emotions. And when he does, will he regret hurting the Nekomata today?
The alcohol’s effect on Si Yan had a slow onset, but now it had truly hit her.
Wang suggested to Si Yan again, "Yan Yan, let’s try the Acacia Stone too."
If she were sober, Si Yan would certainly have demurely refused. But now, the figures before Si Yan’s eyes were already blurring and multiplying. She felt top-heavy and unsteady, and a sudden smile curled her lips.
"Little Brother Wang, if you call me ’Big Sister,’ I’ll go with you, how about that?"
Wang: "...?"
Wu Xie looked up, and Wu Yang did too.
Wang caught the scent of alcohol on her breath. He hadn’t stopped her from drinking. For one, the desert nights were cold, and a little alcohol to warm up was perfectly fine. For another, the wine from the Delusional Tavern in Myriad Beasts City was something she and the others had brewed together. She usually drank some, but never as much as today.
So, she’s drunk, Wang suddenly understood.
The sly serpent played along, "Big Sister, I want to touch the Acacia Stone with you. Will Big Sister accompany me?"
Si Yan’s eyes narrowed, and she reached out to gently pat his cheek. "Alright, alright, anything you want. Let’s go, quickly now."
Wang carried his little female to the center of the gathering. His long hair danced in the wind, his domineering presence a stark contrast to the indulgent smile on his face. He lifted his little female from his shoulders, but instead of placing her on the ground, he settled her in his arms.
Si Yan reached for the Acacia Stone. "Touch, touch! Big Sister will touch it for you to see!"
But there seemed to be multiple Acacia Stones before her eyes, and she couldn’t quite reach one.
"Why are there so many? The stone isn’t listening to me," Si Yan complained.
"Mm, the stone isn’t listening. I’ll help you."
With that, Wang took her small hand, guiding it with his own to touch the Acacia Stone on the table.
Si Yan frowned. "It’s not glowing? How can it not be glowing? Glow for me, damn it!"
"It is glowing. Look," Wang chuckled softly.
The very moment Si Yan and Wang touched the Acacia Stone together, it erupted in a dazzling blaze of light. Starlight blazed, and iridescent light rippled out in colorful ribbons. It was as if the starry sky itself had fallen to earth.
The entire Green Sand Tribe instantly fell silent. The Divine Favor Celebration had been held countless times, and the Acacia Stones brought out just as often, but never before had one shone with such brilliance.
"It’s all stars! Look, we’re surrounded by stars!"
"Mm. Is it beautiful?"
"Beautiful." Si Yan turned her head, her arms hooking around his neck. "You’re the most beautiful, Little Brother Wang. You’re the best looking."
Wang laughed. "It seems Yan Yan has had her eye on me for quite some time. Does Yan Yan like me?"
Si Yan tilted her head and shook it. "Big Sister can’t like you. Big Sister doesn’t belong to this world. If Big Sister liked you and then wasn’t responsible, you’d be pitiful." She poked his forehead.
"I wouldn’t be pitiful. I’d have Yan Yan’s affection."
"Really? Truly not pitiful?"
"Not pitiful at all."
The sly serpent coaxed softly, "In that case, could Yan Yan like me a little bit more?"
Si Yan looked a little lost. "How... how can I like you a little more?"
Wang said, "For example, Yan Yan could kiss me."
Si Yan murmured an "Oh," and then her small face slowly drew closer.
Wang’s heart suddenly hammered against his ribs. As Wang lost control, his pupils began to transform. Serpentine eyes faintly emerged. Wang struggled desperately to suppress it, his eyes flickering between serpentine and human.
Suddenly, Si Yan stopped, pulling back and increasing the distance between them. Her soft little hand reached towards his eyes, her brows furrowed as she peered at them intently.
"Am I seeing things? Your eyes... they’re changing."
He quickly raised his other hand, covering his own eyes. "Sorry."
"Let me see your eyes."
Wang flinched away, only letting her look again after he had calmed himself.
Si Yan looked puzzled. "They seem... normal now."
Si Yan then declared, "But I’m not kissing you anymore."
Wang fell silent. He had just been forced to interrupt the long-anticipated kiss due to his own loss of control.
"You haven’t given me a token of affection yet. I don’t want to kiss you."
"A token of affection?" Wang suddenly snapped back to his senses. He quickly thought of something, and a low chuckle rumbled in his chest.
"I have one."
He produced a sharp, sturdy, purple snake scale—seemingly from nowhere—and placed it in Si Yan’s hand.
"This is my token of affection for Yan Yan. Don’t lose it."
This was the same snake scale Wang had given Si Yan before—the hardest and sharpest on his body. Even when separated, it maintained a connection with him: his Heart-guarding Scale.
Si Yan held up the snake scale, turning it over and over in the moonlight and the surrounding starlight. "Beautiful."
"Do you like it?"
Si Yan nodded vigorously. "What’s it for?"
"Cutting vegetables, killing people... anything you like."
Si Yan’s eyes narrowed instantly. "How vicious. But I love it!"
The sly serpent grinned, coaxing once more, "So, does Yan Yan still want to kiss me now?"
Hearing this, Si Yan went completely pliant, melting against Wang and tangling her limbs with his. Her arms looped around his neck, and she hazily pressed her soft lips to his.
Amidst the brilliant starlight, Qi Mei saw the female and male kissing.
They kissed! They actually kissed! AHH! I’m going to go crazy over this!
