Beast World: Rise to Power with the Offspring System-Chapter 1050 - 1048: Keeping Danger Close?
Chapter 1050: Chapter 1048: Keeping Danger Close?
...
A vast mist shrouds the land, with tender green grass growing on the ground, along with some animal tracks.
Xiaomei and 003 fell into an update state upon arrival and cannot be contacted. The System Map cannot be used here either. But she can still use the items stored in the System Space.
"Henry—" Sally called out the 24th’s name.
Yet, no one responded.
Sally frowned.
When the treasure trove opened, that light was clearly the glow of a Teleportation Gate. Caught off guard, she was teleported away.
Where is this... Yase’s treasury?
She took out a Wind Talisman from the System Space, crafted by Xiao Mumu.
Soon, the talisman transformed into a wisp of wind, first circling around Sally before whistling into the surrounding mist, wildly sweeping through it.
Sally was surprised to see the surrounding scenery; it turned out to be an endless vineyard!
She walked over and picked a bunch of purple grapes.
Each grape was the size of a ping pong ball!
Sally plucked a grape, first licked the taste, finding it eight parts sweet and two parts sour, a very full flavor, then took a big bite.
A gray little rabbit hopped amidst the lush, green grape vines.
Sally looked around, finding no clues, and turned into a little white mouse, following the little gray rabbit.
The little gray rabbit would stop after running a distance, turning back to check on Sally, the little white mouse.
Eventually, it entered a burrow.
Sally didn’t go in; she stopped at the entrance and transformed back, continuing to eat the grapes.
The little gray rabbit poked its head out of the hole, looked around, and, finding no little white mouse, ducked back into the hole.
Sally smiled at the burrow, thinking the little creature presumed it had found a friend.
After finishing a bunch of grapes, she felt full.
These grapes weren’t any precious Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, although the variety was quite good, roughly equivalent to spirit-grade.
It seems the place she’s reached is quite far from Abel Star, even farther than the Beast World.
She flew high into the sky, seeing only the white mist, unable to discern the whole continent.
Xiaomei and 003 are still in an update state... something in this world must be interfering with them, preventing further operation.
Luckily, she can still use her Divine Power, and Sally flew higher.
Even after reaching above the clouds, all she saw was more mist!
Suddenly, someone embraced her from behind.
Sally thought it was the 24th but, upon turning, found herself hugging a narrow, fit, and sensual waist, "Where have you... uh! It’s you!"
Yase embraced Sally, watching as her look of joy gradually faded, feeling a pang in his heart...
"Yanyan, this is my world." Yase said, showing his true form.
Sally pushed him away, instinctively guarding her belly, "Your world is full of fog."
Yase replied, "Yes! I can’t see myself clearly, yet I’m unwilling!"
"..." Sally frowned, suddenly seemed to understand something, "If letting go of your obsession is difficult, why not find Yan Ze and ask him to bind you with a system designed to cleanse emotions. After it’s done, you can unbind it."
"What are you talking about?" Yase looked at Sally in shock.
Sally continued, "I once felt the same way as you do now. Unwilling to let go, desiring an ending with him, be it good or bad. In the end, even as a lonely soul, I couldn’t let go. Fortunately, binding with Xiaomei finally freed me."
"..." Yase’s eyes narrowed, "You’re talking about Qin Mo."
"Yes, him." Sally didn’t deny, "But in reality, Xiaomei’s help was only temporary, deep inside, he still lingered. The proof was, upon learning of his death, I utterly broke down. Truly letting him go was having many children and new emotions."
"Do these emotions include me?" Yase lowered his head, his ash-blond curly hair draped beside his ear, looking extremely helpless.
Sally looked at him, and in the end, unable to bear it, stepped forward and hugged him, "There was! Otherwise, how do you think Little Zhouzhou came to be?"
Yase lowered his head, burying it in the crook of her neck...
Sally could feel something moist sliding down her neck, slowly stopping at her chest, soaking into her collar.
"Thank you, Yanyan." Yase’s voice was noticeably hoarser.
Sally patted his back, "A good man will seek goals across the universe, find something you can passionately dedicate yourself to in the interstellar world."
"I want to be a teacher at Divine Beast University!" Yase lifted his head, eyes filled with deep longing.
Sally looked at him and fell silent for a while... He was a volatile element, dangerous to have around.
But if this risk was within her control, it was better than being constantly on guard against his erratic movements.
"I’ll consider it," Sally replied.
Yase’s eyes lit up, considering her words meant he was half-successful already.
"I promise not to harm your Beast Husbands and children, I only wish to quietly enjoy a longer life in the Beast World, and perhaps see Little Zhouzhou occasionally."
"How long will you live?" Sally inquired.
"On Abel Star, I have less than ten years left. But in the Beast World, I have 1.3 million years."
"That’s quite long," Sally stepped back, "I need to return, after the Crown Prince ceremony, I’ll inform you of the decision."
"Alright," Yase nodded.
"Why did you come to Abel Star?" Sally voiced her lingering suspicion.
"Business. Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with you and won’t affect Little Zhouzhou’s Crown Prince ceremony. I indeed hope he becomes Abel Star’s Crown Prince, after all, he is my own son!"
Sally remained silent, instinct telling her he was still hiding something from her.
Yase’s gaze fell on her belly, "When is the due date?"
"Seven more months," Sally looked down at the mist below, asking, "Where exactly is this place?"
"Campellan Star!" Yase replied.
As he spoke, the mist quickly dispersed, revealing the true face of Campellan Star.
Grasslands, green forests, mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, oceans... Various animals running, chasing, or leisurely walking, a thriving scene.
Most captivating was the vast vineyard and a gigantic castle enveloped in a Barrier.
Sally squinted her eyes, "Where is the 24th?"
"He’s still on Abel Star," Yase answered.
"Is this your world?" Underneath the mist, it was vibrant and lively, like the rising sun.
"No, this is the lifeblood of the Abel Clan," Yase explained, "Everything here belongs to the Blood Master, also the 24th."
"Then what was the mist before?"
"Who did you think I was, Yanyan?"
"Yase Bruchni."
"Bruchni has always been the servant of the Abel Clan! Forever and always!"
"The 24th never said that."
"...Yanyan, I have some gifts for you," Yase said, teleporting with Sally to a dimly lit place.
Soon, a rich aroma of wine swept over them.
Sally remarked, "Is this a wine cellar?"
"Yes," Yase collected all the wine in the wine cellar into his Space Ring, along with many boxes piled up in the lower level of the cellar, "These are some treasures of the materials and Spiritual Objects I collected, for you to nourish your body."
Finally, they arrived at a door identical to the one at the Treasury of the Governor’s Palace, where he produced a golden key and handed it to Sally, "Only the person holding the key can leave."
Sally accepted the key, "Does the 24th know?"
"He knows," Yase replied, "Our meeting was with his consent."
"...So I’m the only one kept in the dark?" Sally toyed with the golden key, "What deal did you two make!"
