Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 105: First Love
Actually, Edith and Callum’s love story did not start from a one-night stand in a hotel or from their relationship as client and designer. Although Callum and Cliff’s relationship had never been harmonious, Callum knew a lot about Cliff’s activities. Callum even knew about Cliff’s seemingly romantic love story, which made him jealous. In his heart, he always said that Cliff didn’t deserve to marry a woman who was too good. He even hoped that Cliff and Edith’s relationship would not work out. Callum could only hold back his envy every time he watched Cliff’s very sweet movements on dates with Edith. Callum always regretted that the smile that Edith always showed to Cliff would end in vain.
One day, Callum held an important meeting and served as tour leader for a renowned CEO from a foreign company visiting King’s Hotel. After attending important events at the hotel until late at night, he decided to return to his residence. However, an unexpected incident occurred as he walked through the hotel lobby. He witnessed his stepbrother embracing a sexy woman’s waist, causing his eyes to widen. Moreover, the woman was the woman he wanted to marry.
Full of curiosity, Callum followed Cliff quietly to a hidden location. While Cliff and Arabella were hiding in a corner of the room that was not recorded by CCTV cameras, Callum also hid in an empty room and then opened the door to peek at Cliff’s movements. It was clearly visible from this empty room, Cliff was kissing Arabella openly behind the wall, making Callum almost scream. Luckily, he was able to hold it in by closing his mouth tightly.
From then on, Callum didn’t want Edith to fall into Cliff’s trap. He began thinking of ways to convince Edith not to fall for the wrong man. Callum was furious because Cliff had been playing with Edith all this time, even though she was a good woman in his eyes. Therefore, he began trying to find out Edith’s background through Patrick.
Now, besides helping Callum with his work, Patrick also asks for his help in secretly investigating Edith’s background. Patrick is also curious about Callum’s sudden interest in a woman. Callum has always been against women. Is there a hidden agenda for Callum’s sudden interest in Edith?
"Callum, Edith isn’t actually Yvette’s biological sister. You could say she’s in the same position as you."
Callum clenched his fists tightly. "Maybe Cliff is dating her on purpose so he can bully Edith someday!"
"But why are you suddenly interested in Edith? Isn’t she your stepbrother’s girlfriend and you have no right to bother her?"
"In fact, I have the right to bother him because I don’t want their relationship to go smoothly. I have to take Edith away from him. Even though Cliff never told Edith anything about me, I still wanted to take Edith away from him."
"Are you sure? What if Edith hates you?"
"That’s precisely why I have to be her client. Help me find a way to become her client in a subtle way. I don’t want to look like I’m acting."
"If I may ask, are you going this far because you like her?"
Callum took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. "I’m more likely to be unable to bear seeing Edith’s smile fade because of disappointment over Cliff’s secret affair. I want Edith to always smile because she’s happy. She’s been unhappy because her family has never treated her with affection. Especially now that Edith wants to marry him. I have to stop her at all costs."
Patrick nodded, putting his arm around his boss’s shoulder. "This is the first time I’ve seen you fall in love with a woman."
"Honestly, every time I see Edith smile in front of Cliff, I get angry. I always want to tell her that smile should be for me, not Cliff."
"I’m even more excited to help you get Edith. Because you’d never do something like this just for a woman. In fact, I really support you marrying Edith."

Edith’s smile widened with joy, as she hadn’t expected Callum to like her from the start. That was why he’d been so possessive of her all this time. Her heart swelled with joy as she imagined the Callum of the past, who had secretly been infatuated with her. If only she and Callum had met from the start, their relationship wouldn’t have been so complicated.
"Callum, you should have come to me from the start. I would have given you my smile."
"There’s no way I could do that because I know Cliff wouldn’t tell you he has a half-brother. I’ve known his jerk-like personality for a long time. That’s why I’ve always looked for ways to get to know you politely."
Edith laughed softly, wrapping her arms around her beloved fiancé’s neck. "Whether you introduced me politely or not, I don’t really care. All I want is a man’s sincerity. It’s no use getting to know me politely, only to end up cheating on me secretly like Cliff."
"If I hadn’t witnessed Cliff’s affair firsthand, you definitely wouldn’t be living as happily as you are now."
"I would have divorced him from the start. Or maybe I would have destroyed our marriage."
Callum immediately rubbed his hands together furiously. "You’re really scary, Edith."
Edith folded her arms. "I’d rather scold you, actually. Why do you have to act like a secret agent when you could just come to me in person?"
"Because I’m actually really embarrassed. This is the first time I’ve fallen in love with a woman. Even Patrick is tired of me being so anti-women."
"I fell in love with you the first time, too." Edith held her fiancé’s hands with a loving gaze. "I admit I’ve only ever loved you, Callum."
"You even dated Cliff. Don’t you have at least a little bit of feelings for him?"
"Maybe my heart just couldn’t accept it because I’ve known from the start that Cliff was a jerk. Besides, I had a feeling Cliff didn’t truly love me back then."
