Edith and Callum were still having fun with their twins today. Although they always forbade their twins from eating sweets, today was an exception. Edith and Callum actually knew why their twins had been so happy lately. However, they had been pretending not to know anything because the surprise they were about to give them would end up being incomplete.

"Mom, can I have some more ice cream?" Eliana asked, blinking her eyes several times.

Edith laughed softly as she looked at her fiancé, who was also winking. "Why do you have to ask me? Why don’t you just ask your father?"

"Because I also want more ice cream," Callum replied softly.

"Can I also add?" Erdin raised his right hand quickly.

"Of course you can. Since your father wants to have more, I won’t stop you."

Callum laughed mischievously, gently pinching his fiancée’s cheek. "Maybe it’s for my sake that you didn’t forbid our child."

"You’re a father, after all. You should be setting a good example!"

"Don’t you want some more ice cream too?"

Finally, Edith couldn’t hold back her laughter and wanted to openly pamper her fiancé. She leaned her head on his broad shoulder and hugged him tightly.

"I admit defeat."

Before bed, Edith wanted to stargaze in the backyard. She sat on a swing, gazing up at the sky, dotted with bright stars. The gentle night air made her shiver slightly, and her fiancé spontaneously put a cardigan around her petite frame.

"You should wear a thicker nightgown. You’ll catch a cold."

Edith smiled shyly, hugging her fiancé’s muscular body affectionately. "The night sky is so beautiful today. Finally, I can see the stars with you again."

"Today the kids are very happy thanks to you for giving in to their wishes."

"Of course I have to obey them because it’s their birthday in a few days."

Callum looked up at the stars in the sky with sparkling eyes. "Actually, I remember how you used to look at the stars before bed when you were pregnant. Even though there weren’t any stars, you insisted on looking at them."

"Because every time I look at the stars, my heart feels calm whenever I’m facing a major problem." A heavy sigh escaped his lips. "Now the problems I face are bigger, but luckily the night view is so beautiful. My mind is at ease."

"If you want your mind to be at ease, I want to ask you out on a date tomorrow."

Edith lifted her head slowly, staring at her fiancé with sparkling eyes. "Really? Don’t you have a meeting tomorrow?"

"Actually, I’ve already rearranged the schedule. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure it won’t be too busy tomorrow."

"I miss going out with you. We had so much fun together with the kids."

"Tomorrow I want to buy birthday presents for the kids. We should have some fun amidst these problems every now and then."

Her hands gripped her fiancé’s tightly. "Me too. I actually wanted to take you shopping, but I was worried I’d bother you."

Callum shook his head. "No. I’ve been waiting for you all this time. Especially since this is our first time celebrating the kids’ birthdays together, and I want this birthday to be truly meaningful in their lives."

Edith looked up at the sky again, her eyes sparkling. "I also want the night sky on the kids’ birthdays to be as beautiful as this. Our twins also really love looking at the stars."

"Every birthday, Erdin always wonders who his real mother is. I always take him stargazing, but he always says it would be more meaningful if you came with him."

"Eliana said the same thing. She’s so curious about you that she insists on seeing you on her birthday. Hearing her say the same thing every year makes me feel guilty for always celebrating her birthday without a father."

"Edith, I’ll make sure the kids’ birthdays go perfectly, just like they wanted. I even want to buy you a beautiful dress tomorrow."

Edith blushed, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "There are still so many of your dresses I haven’t worn yet."

"It’s okay. I actually wanted to buy us some couple outfits. It’s been a while since we’ve worn a couple outfits."

As the night air grew colder, Callum immediately carried his fiancée back into their home. Edith continued to pout, not yet satisfied with this rare night view.

"Callum, I haven’t had enough of looking at the stars."

"It’s okay. I actually took a picture of you earlier. Would you like to see the results?"

"Why didn’t I realize that?"

"In fact, when I take your picture secretly, it usually turns out perfect. I’m sure you’ll really like it."

Callum immediately showed Edith the photos. Just one shot made Edith’s eyes widen and her mouth drop open. Even she herself hadn’t expected the results to be anything less than perfect.

"You look so beautiful in the photo."

"Thanks, Callum. I think I should post this photo directly on my social media accounts."

"Now you are naughty, making everyone jealous of you."

Today was the day Edith had been waiting for. After a long break from dating due to their numerous problems, she was finally able to go on a date with the man she loved. However, she was going to the mall alone, as Callum was still on his way from the meeting point, which was quite far away.

Edith was ready to shine and make her fiancé fall even more in love with her. Now she was getting ready to walk out of the boutique and into the parking lot. Just as she was about to walk to her car, two masked men suddenly surrounded her, making her start to panic.
