Edith could guess who was covering her eyes with their palms. It couldn’t have been her twins, as she was clearly hugging both of them. The only person who could do such a mischievous thing was her beloved fiancé. However, she hadn’t expected her fiancé to recover so quickly, despite what appeared to be a serious head injury.

A happy smile spread across her beautiful face. "Callum, is that you?"

Callum smiled brightly, slowly removing his palms and then looking at his twins with beaming eyes. "I finally managed to surprise you guys."

"Dad!" Erdin and Eliana greeted their father enthusiastically.

Callum immediately sat down on the sofa with his twins, hugging them affectionately. "I missed you guys so much."

"I miss you so much, Dad. Where have you been all this time?" Eliana asked with a pitiful face.

"Actually I stayed at the witch house for a few days because I was held there."

Erdin snorted in annoyance, folding his arms. "I hate that witch so much!"

"But don’t worry. From now on, I won’t leave you guys again. I came home today because I wanted to celebrate your birthdays."

"Hurray! Dad still remembers my birthday. I’m glad you’re celebrating my birthday now."

"Dad, aren’t you going out again today?" Erdin asked softly.

"No way. In fact, I’m taking the time today so you won’t be sad on your birthday." His eyes sparkled as he gazed at his fiancée’s beauty. "I want to bake a cake with your mother, too."

Edith let out a happy laugh, hugging her fiancé. "I’m still making the cake batter, if you want to help me, I won’t stop you."

Callum kissed his twins’ cheeks briefly. "I’ll bake a cake with your mom first. Afterward, we’ll celebrate together while opening presents."

Now, Edith was even more excited about making brownies for her twins, with her beloved fiancé accompanying her. She helped him put on an apron and then continued making the dough.

Suddenly, her fiancé hugged her from behind, making her smile even wider. "Callum, I’m actually curious. Didn’t you say you couldn’t celebrate the kids’ birthdays?"

"Actually, I said that on purpose to surprise you. My head is better, and I’ve been allowed to go home."

Edith turned around for a moment, wrapping her arms around her fiancé’s waist. "You weren’t lying to me just now, were you? I don’t want you to push yourself too hard today."

"No. I’m fine now." Callum lifted his fiancée’s body and spun her around. "I can prove it to you."

"Callum, can you put me down? I’m embarrassed!"

"Starting today, I can sleep with you again. I was actually bored sleeping alone in the hospital."

"Yes, but can you not embarrass me in front of the twins?"

Callum slowly lowered his fiancée’s body and then hugged her back. "I want to help you make brownies for the kids."

Edith kissed her soft cheek briefly. "Don’t be so mischievous all of a sudden. You’re just recovering."

"I was just being naughty." Callum deliberately threw flour at his fiancée’s face.

"Callum! You’ve only just recovered, but you’re even more naughty now!" Edith also threw flour at Callum’s handsome face.

"Because of my injury yesterday, it seems I’ve become even more naughty."

Edith burst out laughing, throwing flour at them until their faces were covered in it. "I like how naughty you’ve become. I like it better this way."

His lips landed on the red ones in front of him for a few seconds. "Honestly, today is our twins’ best birthday ever. I wanted to celebrate it with you even longer."

"Me too. The kids are really looking forward to your arrival. I admit I really enjoyed your surprise today."

"Were the twins very disappointed in me at first? Eliana in particular was used to being spoiled by me."

"She looked sad actually even though you couldn’t come home. Erdin was also disappointed because he thought you couldn’t celebrate his birthday."

"This time I will make sure not to make them cry again on their birthday."

After making brownies and various other dishes together, Edith and Callum celebrated their twins’ birthday in the living room. Candles had been placed on the specially made brownies. They sang "Happy Birthday" enthusiastically while watching their twins clap and sing along.

Erdin and Eliana prayed for a moment, then blew out the candles in unison. Edith and Callum applauded enthusiastically as they hugged their twins’ tiny bodies.

"Happy birthday, Erdin and Eliana!" Callum said, kissing his twins’ heads repeatedly.

"I hope you guys don’t turn out to be naughty kids," Edith continued, laughing softly.

Callum took two gift boxes that were quite large in size, making his twins stare wide-eyed.

"Wow! Dad bought us presents!" Eliana stared at the gift box Callum was still holding.

"Because you are my beloved twins, of course the gift you will receive will be a special gift."

Eliana and Erdin hugged each other even tighter. Edith looked at her twins, who were hugging her, and her heart felt warm. Her wish to celebrate her twins’ birthday with Callum had finally come true, even if they couldn’t celebrate it extravagantly.

"Actually, we just need Mom and Dad by our side. We don’t want to celebrate our birthday with any of you," Erdin said with a shy smile.

Callum laughed awkwardly at his son’s uncharacteristically wise speech. "My son, you’re unusually wise. Did your mother teach you?"

"But I’m also happy to have daddy celebrating my birthday. I’ve always wanted to celebrate my birthday with daddy," Eliana added, looking at her father with a beaming smile.

"Me too, my daughter. I’ve been wondering about you all this time. Would you be sad to celebrate your birthday with your mother alone?"

"Actually, I’ve been sad all this time, Callum. But because you gave me this very special surprise today, I won’t forget this sweet moment."

Callum looked at his twins, who were still struggling to unwrap their presents. "I bought you a present that you’ve always wanted. It’s simple, but I hope you’ll really like it."

"Then, what about a gift for me?" Edith blinked sweetly several times.

"Is my presence enough to make you happy?"

"Of course. I hope the night sky will be beautiful today too."
