Birthing Legends: My Womb Creates SSS Monsters-Chapter 102: The ‘Heroes’ Who Tried to Slay a Demon Lord… Are Now Maddy’s — Part 2.
Before Maddy announced what she wanted to do next, Lucy halted her with another trait.
[Trait Acquired: Presence Concealment (Rare)]
[The user can conceal their physical presence, magical signature (Magic), and combat power (Might) from detection. Enemies, magical sensors, and tracking spells cannot sense the user unless someone possesses a skill capable of seeing through it but even then, the concealment can counteract detection if the user’s Magic and Might are significantly higher than the observer’s. The level of concealment scales with the user’s stamina and intent, allowing them to move, act, and cast spells without revealing their location or power level.]
Maddy tilted her head slowly as she read the description, her brow furrowing deeper with every line.
"A—a rare trait!? That actually exists in this world? I mean, there are super rare monster spawns, so I guess rare traits would exist too... But Lucy, what exactly qualifies as a rare trait?"
[Response: A rare trait is an ability not commonly found within the general population. Some individuals are born with them naturally. Others awaken them through extreme training, magical experimentation, or unique environmental circumstances.]
Maddy blinked several times, processing the explanation.
"So... basically a jackpot ability—either you born lucky, earned through half a lifetime of grueling training, or triggered by some traumatic experience... nice."
She tapped her chin thoughtfully.
"And I just... ate mine."
She paused, scrolling through her mental log of the battle.
"It must have been Golden Boy, right? The ’Captain’ in the shiny armor who kept screaming about his dad like his lineage was a personality trait. He seemed like the type to have a special blood."
She scrolled through the description again, then stopped abruptly.
"Wait... no... this isn’t from him. The description doesn’t match the size of his body or the sword he’s using... That idiot kept yelling about his lineage like it was a personality trait."
[You’re correct. It didn’t come from him. It came from the stealth specialist—the assassin who appeared behind you during the fight.]
Maddy burst out laughing.
"Oh, that’s priceless! You mean the ’Shadow Ninja’? The guy who was trying to play hide and seek with a woman who has Divine Sight and half a dozen sensing sub routines?"
She put a hand on her hip, her smirk widening. "I could see him the entire time! He was like a mosquito trying to land on my back—annoying, predictable, and doomed to be swatted the second he touched me. Bam. Total extinction."
[Correct. His stealth was master class for a normal opponent but not you.]
Maddy chuckled.
"Poor guy... thought he was invisible. But wait... what about Golden Boy? He claimed to be the direct heir of the Hero who supposedly took down a Demon Lord. You’re telling me he didn’t have a single Rare Trait to his name?"
[Response: Correct. Genetics are not a guarantee. Not every child inherits their parent’s trait.]
"Oof. That’s actually tragic... That explains the desperation. He wasn’t just fighting me; he was fighting his own mediocrity. He was trying to prove to a dead man that he was worthy—trying to show he carried his father’s legacy. But it wasn’t in his blood, Lucy. It was just in his ego."
Her expression slowly turned thoughtful as she remembered something else.
"...You know what’s funny? When I walked into that chamber... every single one of them could feel my aura."
Maddy spread her arms slightly as if recreating the moment.
"Their eyes started bleeding. Their knees buckled. They could barely breathe."
She glanced at her own hands.
"...Which means my Magic and Might must be absurdly high now."
[Very high.]
Maddy tapped the trait window again.
"So with Presence Concealment... I could hide all of that. Which would be very useful if I ever wanted to go to the surface and be—"
PING.
Another system notice appeared before she could finish.
[System Notice]
[You have ingested multiple inorganic materials, including weapons, armor, tools, potions, ammunition, and other standard adventurer gear]
[Congratulations! You’ve acquired a unique skill: Chimera Forge]
[Chimera Forge: Allows the user to analyze, store, reproduce, and enhance any inorganic object that has been ingested. All consumed equipment such as weapons, armor, tools, and crafted items are recorded as structural blueprints within the user’s biological memory. The user may recreate these items at will, forming them from stored minerals, metals, and materials previously consumed.]
[Additionally, recreated items may also be improved or altered by combining additional materials the user has ingested.]
[Due to the Chimera Traits this skill manifested. The user’s body functions as a living forge, converting stored inorganic matter into fully formed equipment.]
Her eyes slowly widened as the meaning of the notice sank in.
"Wait. The. F*ck. Up."
She pointed at herself.
"Lucy... are you telling me I just ate a bunch of adventurer junk... and now I’m basically a walking blacksmith shop?"
She held out her hand, staring at her palm like she expected a sword to pop out of it at any moment.
"A living forge?!"
She looked down at the pile of adventurer gear she had devoured earlier, realization dawning across her face.
"So if I ate their armor... their swords... their potions... that means I can just...what? Print them out again?"
She rubbed her chin thoughtfully.
"And not just that... I can upgrade them if I mix in other materials I’ve eaten?"
Her eyes suddenly sparkled.
"Oh my god."
She snapped her fingers excitedly.
"Does that mean if I eat diamonds, mythril, obsidian, or any rare minerals... I can just start mass producing upgraded gear for my children?!"
She looked back at her brood with the biggest grin yet.
"My babies are about to become the best equipped monsters in the entire world!"
Then she paused. Her expression slowly turned mischievous.
"...Also..."
She leaned closer to Lucy’s voice with a whisper.
"Please tell me I can make comically oversized weapons just for Sephiran."
From the side, Sephiran’s ears perked up instantly, his eyes practically exploded with excitement.
"WAIT—WHAT?!"
