Bizarre Realm-Chapter 322 - 10: Otherworld Visitor! Child of Slaughter - Ugly Monkey!

Lightning danced across the gray sky, like wild serpents of thunder illuminating the dark abyss.

Shawn’s figure appeared near the Deep Pit Mine, where he found a corpse already blown to bits in a gorge that stretched tens of thousands of meters. This was a demon from the Bottomless Abyss, likely a Frenzy Demon, for the surrounding area exuded a nauseating stench. Upon entering the Bizarre Realm, its body was immediately assimilated by laws, failing the first wave of willpower judgment, and bloated under the gray mist’s erosion like Lorice had before, ultimately bursting into scattered pieces of flesh.

"Where did this sludge come from? Is it the gray mist’s erosion?"

Shawn squatted down, and the Invisible Hand dug a demon heart from the bloated mire of flesh. The dead demon hadn’t succumbed to the erosion of hateful sludge but instead had blood and flesh pouring outward like sludge, striking one of Shawn’s knowledge blind spots.

He hadn’t yet begun research on the gray mist.

A sharp knife, controlled by the Invisible Hand, cut into the demon heart, revealing many small organ-like biological forms. A careful look showed forms like Timid Demon, Frolic Demon, and Enchanting Demon, representing various evolutionary forms of the Tanarri Demon.

Strictly speaking, demons undergo complete metamorphosis transformation, possessing genes akin to the Insect Race. When the form changes, the heart absorbs energy from the whole body and then flesh transforms into a new demon form. Having arrived in the Bizarre Realm, the devil’s ’resurrection’ ability had also failed; this advanced Frenzy Demon was truly dead beyond return.

"Demons from the Bottomless Abyss can resurrect. If they die during an invasion of the Material Plane, their souls return to the Bottomless Abyss to reshape flesh and resurrect."

"However, the Bizarre Realm’s laws are twisted by the Ancient Race, likely stripping them of their resurrection ability too."

Shawn found Extraordinary Relics of the Demon Path on the corpse. Energy laws from other Crystal Wall Systems are reshaped and twisted upon entering the Bizarre Realm, most noticeably dropping Extraordinary Relics of the Demon Path.

"Can real demons not resurrect either?"

"It seems my Curse-Bound Legion plan is exceedingly difficult to realize." Shawn’s expression was very grave.

Aemon’s partial authority rested upon him.

One of Shawn’s future conceptions was the Curse-Bound Legion plan. According to Earth’s understanding, demons from the Bottomless Abyss upload their souls to Abyssal Chaos, then, dying on the Material Plane, souls can reassemble in the Bottomless Abyss, ultimately at the cost of weakened power, flesh reformed to create a new demon reborn from the chaos.

The Curse-Bound Legion is a battle plan based on the power of the Demon Path.

An infinite demon army capable of constant resurrection!

Shawn searched for traces of Otherworldly invaders, partly to research the primordial essence of demons, partly to see if he could discover methods of demon resurrection, and finally, to incidentally collect the Extraordinary Essence of some unlucky dead.

He was recently very short on money.

Weaklings cannot survive in the Bizarre Realm, even demons are no exception!

"Is it because there’s nowhere to upload the soul?"

"Or is it because the Bizarre Realm lacks a Netherworld, with the Netherworld merged with reality, their resurrection ability lost due to part of the Netherworld’s laws?"

"I need to gather more intelligence."

"If transcendent beings of the Demon Path could resurrect endlessly, I’d be able to start crafting an immensely powerful Curse-Bound Legion."

Because of Succubus - Veronica’s companionship, Shawn was relatively knowledgeable about demon body structures, but as for the form of demon souls, his research had only just begun, which required delving into the laws of the soul domain.

Demons originate from human souls but differ from them. A demon’s soul and flesh can be separated; if the body dies, the soul might still have a chance to resurrect.

The battle erupted somewhere quite far from him, near the direction of Fear’s Eye, one of the war zones of the Dark Era, a scar left by the Ancient Race on the planet.

Shawn’s figure rose thousands of meters high in the sky, and from his vantage point, he looked down at the earth below, observing a completely corrupted, dark brown mountain range. All that met his gaze was a mix of thorns and flesh, with vast cracks in the earth extending deep underground; moss-like flesh organization spread along the earth veins, forming a starkly colored divide with the surrounding land.

Flesh Moss.

The massive central crack seemed like a terrifying and hideous scar, the eerie darkness exuding a flicker of deep purple light. This was the underground passage where the Pillar of Flesh and Blood broke through the earth, leading directly to the Inner Earth World, encountered by numerous perilous Ancient Race entities.
