[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World-Chapter 274: Harvest Day
The third floor’s interior looked like an ordinary living room. Simple, uncluttered, with only a few pieces of furniture. Exactly the way Gara requested.
Hilda greeted them as soon as they arrived. "If Master needs anything, just contact me. I’ll bring it up right away."
Gara nodded. Over the past few days, she had stocked up plenty of food and bought several new furnishings.
Inside the dimensional home, they immediately started on their schedule for the first day of break. Harvesting.
"I’ll harvest the chrona flowers myself since there’s only one plot. You guys can take care of the autumn apples," Gara instructed.
"These apples grow way faster than regular ones, don’t they?" Wina commented.
Gara nodded. "Yeah, Mom. The chrona flowers and black lavender grow faster too because the water I use is my own." And because of my divine fertility’s effect.
"Are the black lavenders we harvested before already dry?" Wina asked again. Since the weather was cold, they didn’t dry anything inside the dimensional space.
"They are, Mom. The sun on my dorm balcony is really strong."
They all went to work. Wina didn’t join the harvest. She simply observed for a moment before returning inside to prepare food and drinks for them.
Ares wasn’t with them either. He stayed on the second floor. His main job now was caring for the triplets.
Just as Gara finished picking the flowers, rare blooms that supposedly hadn’t grown in hundreds of years, he heard footsteps near the gate.
Agus appeared, his clothes dusty but his face bright with excitement.
"I kept watching that flower, and I was certain it was a chrona flower," the elder said as he approached Gara. "But that should be impossible, right?"
"It really is a chrona flower. I got the seeds from the Alchemist Association."
"You actually managed to grow it?" Agus stared at him, shocked. "But that does make sense. The reason they couldn’t grow before was because of the temperature."
He suddenly looked like he got an idea. "Would you... give that chrona flower to me?"
Gara shook his head without hesitation. "Like I said, the seeds came from the Alchemist Association."
The not-so-old-looking elder lowered his head with a disappointed expression, making Gara feel guilty.
"...Alright. I’ll give you one stalk."
Agus’s face lit up instantly, still pale despite always spending his time outdoors.
Since Gara was done harvesting, having only five stalks total, he headed toward the side yard to check the apple harvest.
Agus followed behind him like a dog waiting for treats.
The moment he saw the young men harvesting, Agus immediately made another offer.
"Can I buy those? And also those black lavender buds in the front yard— they haven’t bloomed yet, right? I want to buy them too."
Gara glanced at the wooden box already filled with apples, the harvest was pretty decent.
"Alright then. How much is Sir Agus offering?"
After considering Agus’s needs and the fact that Gara’s own supply was still small...
"Just like the chrona flower," Gara said, "I’ll give you enough black lavender for a single dose of anti-beast charm. But for actual buying and selling, it’s still too early. I need permission from Professor Aura and Chief Ambar first. As for the autumn apples— just provide the seeds as payment."
Although Agus clearly struggled to accept that he’d only receive one chrona flower and one dose of black lavender, he had no other choice but to agree.
That night, they ate dinner together —Wina and Della’s cooking— served with a surprisingly varied menu.
"That’s because you all just spent a lot of energy working in the fields," Wina said.
Agus joined them for dinner as well. He had Sebas deliver extra food supplies, adding an extra portion as payment for the cooking.
"It’s just one extra plate. It’s no trouble at all. No need to go through the hassle of supplying ingredients," Wina said at that time, not minding at all.
Still, she was secretly happy. Sebas often brought luxury ingredients, letting her son enjoy high-quality meals more often.
Even though Wina never complained about being a full-time homemaker here, Gara was starting to feel guilty.
He looked at her. At how the wrinkles on her face had become fewer compared to a year ago.
Bathing and drinking his water and no longer having to work the garden made her look much younger.
But even so... Gara still felt like he’d taken away her freedom. She spent months here with the same small group of people, even though she wasn’t obligated to live this life.
After dinner, the men usually handled the kitchen and washed the dishes. But since Fian and Madha had been busy harvesting all day, the task fell back to the women... and Gara.
"Mom," Gara called out while wiping the table. "How about you and Della go out for a walk around the capital city?"
"What did you just say, Gara?" Wina turned sharply.
Della froze mid-step, arms full of dirty dishes.
"You two haven’t gone out since we went to Raksa County, right? I want you to at least walk around outside. Meet people who aren’t just us." Gara looked at them seriously.
Wina was ready to refuse. At her age, she had little desire to meet new people. She preferred staying home, spending time with the triplets.
But when she looked at Della —quiet, but with sparkling eyes— she realized something. Della was still just a young girl. Of course she would want to see new things outside these walls.
"...Alright. Just for one day," Wina agreed at last.
"I’ll ask Hilda to choose the most suitable staff from the Merchant House to accompany and guide you," Gara said, instantly energized.
Without wasting any time, the next morning Hilda —efficient as always— had everything prepared.
Wina and Della wore their best clothes. Whether they admitted it or not, they were both nervous.
"Mom, Della, just enjoy yourselves. If you feel uncomfortable, tell them immediately. If anything gets out of hand, call me. If—"
Gara kept giving instructions as if the two women had never seen the outside world before.
Seeing this, Madha gently took his fiancée’s hand, giving him a meaningful look.
Gara finally shut his mouth. Apparently, he was more nervous than either of them.
While Gara gave instructions, Wina also gave her own. Everything related to caring for the triplets.
"Ehhm. Aunty, it’s almost noon." Once again, Madha had to intervene.
Wina laughed awkwardly and nodded to Gara.
"The staff is waiting at the stairs, Mom," Gara said, sending Wina and Della off.
