[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World-Chapter 275: Mate
Meanwhile, on the second floor, Hilda was discussing business with a girl whom Gara would definitely recognize if they met.
"How about the terms we proposed, Miss Lysa Fenris?"
In front of Hilda sat Lysa Fenris —the only daughter of Alpha Fenris— poised, elegant, and serious.
Her young age didn’t stop her from earning enough trust to negotiate business matters with outsiders.
"We—"
Thump.
Lysa flinched. Her heartbeat suddenly sped up, her chest tightening as heat surged through her body.
"Are you alright, Miss Fenris?" Hilda asked, worried as she watched the young werewolf clutch her chest in pain.
Instead of answering, Lysa abruptly left the VIP room. The lively chatter of Alrova Drink Shop customers greeted her the moment she stepped out.
But her eyes were fixed on the staircase leading to the third floor. Her wolf voice urged her toward it.
"Miss Fenris!"
Before she could step forward, Hilda touched her shoulder. "The third floor is for staff only."
"...Do you have any werewolf staff?" Lysa asked, still staring at the stairs.
"We have a few beastfolk employees, but none are werewolves," Hilda replied with a shake of her head.
Seeing Lysa remain frozen in place, Hilda spoke again in a more serious tone, "Are you unable to continue the discussion?"
"My apologies for the unprofessional behavior. We can continue."
In the end, they both returned to the room.
Lysa had never felt something like that before...
But she’d heard plenty of other werewolves talk about it, sharing their own experiences.
That sudden, overwhelming sensation—
It was what they felt when encountering a fated mate.
Just as the VIP room door closed, Wina and Della came down from the third floor.
Two staff members were already waiting at the bottom of the staircase, a friendly-looking woman and a muscular man.
Della instinctively slowed her steps.
She thought being around Ares, Gara, and the other men at home would help her get used to being around men again... but turns out she was still a little anxious.
"He’ll only guard from a distance, miss," the female staff member quickly clarified.
"I—I’m fine," Della said, determined. She knew her situation had changed, and she was determined to change with it.
The four of them finally left Alrova Shop.
...
The triplets had just fallen asleep after tiring themselves out on the carpet. Since the air was warm, Gara and Madha let the three little babies sleep right there.
Besides, Rea’s children were around, like living baby monitors.
Meanwhile, Gara and Madha cuddled on the couch, watching the tiny faces of the children.
Madha had one arm wrapped around Gara, and his other hand gently stroked the baby bump that had begun to show.
"When’s your next checkup?" Madha asked softly, his voice deeper than usual.
Feeling his breath near his ear, Gara giggled, "Before the second semester starts. Around the sixth month."
"When we’re back at the academy, you need to take it easy," he reminded him.
Gara nodded, even though he wasn’t sure he’d actually do that. As long as the father of the child inside him felt reassured, that was enough for now.
"Oh right! Who are we inviting to the engagement ceremony?" Gara suddenly remembered their upcoming event.
"From my side, I’ll invite my older and younger brother. As for our friends, Yuvika, Orman, and Kevio should be able to come since the event is a week before the academy starts," Madha answered.
"I also want to invite Kian. And I’ve already contacted Uncle Tristan. He said he’ll come as long as nothing urgent comes up," Gara added.
Then he hugged Madha tightly, still amazed they would soon be celebrating their engagement.
"I trust Hilda to plan something simple but beautiful," he said with a smile.
Madha nodded, his gaze drifting from Gara’s hazel eyes to his soft pink lips. Without asking, he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss on them.
Gara jolted a little, surprised. But he liked it, and deepened the kiss.
Meanwhile, Ares, who was about to come down from the third floor, froze when he heard strange noises.
But... those sounds were clearly Gara and Madha.
His instincts screamed that he should not go downstairs, so the dragon man immediately turned around and climbed back up.
He returned to his usual routine, staring out at the scenery from the third-floor balcony.
Far away at the manor gate, Fian and Agus were in the middle of fighting off approaching mist monsters.
Since enough people were already watching the triplets, Fian chose to train outside and responded when he heard noises coming from the gate.
It turned out Agus had set off explosives to make a commotion just outside the barrier, luring the mist monsters closer.
Despite the thick fog, Fian could see most of the incoming monsters, mistwalkers and mistwights. No mistfiend.
"If a mistfiend were around, it’d pull all of these monsters toward it. That means the mistfiend near this area already knows what I’m planning," Agus said.
Fian didn’t respond. He just listened. Agus sighed, clearly unsatisfied.
"You’re the type who knows how to attack but not how to make plans, aren’t you?"
Fian nodded.
Definitely not Agus’s favorite kind of companion. He preferred his grandson, those kid would analyze things with him. But right now, he couldn’t call anyone inside the manor.
So Agus had no choice but to keep talking to a brick wall until lunchtime arrived.
...
"Ilyas! Get to my office right now! Gara managed to grow a bloom from the Chrona Flower. A bloom, I repeat!"
"A bloom?! I’ll call Chief Ambar immediately!"
Gara watched Professor Aura yelling into her crystal ring, followed by Professor Ilyas’s shrill scream echoing from inside it. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
It all started about thirty minutes ago, right after Gara arrived at his herbal class professor’s office.
He had obtained the rare seed from Aura, so he felt she should be the first to know the results.
"How did you control the temperature, Gara?" Aura’s eyes sparkled as if she’d discovered the most precious treasure in the world.
"I used a room called a ’greenhouse.’"
