The story will shift to third-person POV, allowing a deeper look into each character’s thoughts and emotions as we move into the wedding moments. Thank you so much for your support. I’m truly grateful to everyone of you.
The sun rose over the hills, illuminating the sprawling estate of the Draeven family like a crown jewel nestled in emerald velvet. This was not merely a venue; it was a testament to generations of power and refined taste. The air itself seemed to hum with the scent of expensive lilies, crisp champagne, and the salty, clean breeze of the nearby coast.
The architecture of the estate featured soaring white marble columns and sweeping staircases that looked as though they had been carved from moonlight. For this day, the gardens had been transformed into a botanical masterpiece. Thousands of white orchids and cream-colored roses cascaded from every archway, their fragrance so thick and sweet it was almost intoxicating.
Gilded chairs were arranged in perfect symmetry across a lawn that felt like walking on silk. Every detail screamed of "Old Money" and effortless luxury. The aisle was not a simple rug, but a path of hand-laid glass that reflected the blue sky, making it look as if the grooms would be walking on water. Crystal chandeliers hung from the sturdy branches of ancient oak trees, their prisms catching the morning light and scattering diamonds across the grass.
Waiters in tailored black tuxedos moved with ghostly silence, setting out silver trays and crystal flutes that would soon hold the rarest vintages. There was no gaudiness here, only the quiet, heavy weight of true wealth. Every surface was polished to a mirror finish, and every flower was at the peak of its bloom.
As the morning mist cleared, the estate stood ready, a silent witness to the union of two souls. The atmosphere was charged with the kind of elegance that couldn’t be bought with money alone, it was the elegance of a legacy being written in real-time.
In a luxury hotel suite, the quiet was shattered as Zayn’s friends burst through the door. The moment Nantam’s eyes landed on Zayn, resplendent in his wedding attire, he stopped dead in his tracks. Tears began to flow freely, unbidden. Even Dean, whose personality was built on jokes and playfulness, found himself choked up, unable to stop the sobbing that shook his shoulders.
The world seemed to be holding its breath. News had traveled fast across every social media platform and news outlet: Evric Draeven was marrying the love of his life today.
Zayn bit his lip, fighting to hold back his own tears to save his makeup. He had spent so long doubting this moment would ever come. He pulled his friends into a tight, collective hug.
"Zayn," Dean murmured, pulling back to look at him through watery eyes. "You’ve always been the heart of our group. Seeing you find someone who treasures that heart... It’s all we ever wanted for you."
Nantam wiped his face, trying to regain his composure. "I’m so proud of you, man. You’ve handled everything with so much grace. You deserve this world-class wedding and everything that comes after."
A soft chime cut through the moment. A message from Evric lit up my phone:
I want you close, so I’ve sent the car, it’s on its way to pick you up. The mansion has luxury suites; it’ll be better if you stay here. Your stylist will come over to finish everything. I don’t want you stressed. Have you eaten yet?
Zayn smiled, his fingers flying over the screen as he typed back a quick response.
Zayn: Yes, baby.
Seeing the soft, lingering smile on his face, Dean couldn’t resist a classic nudge. "Ooh, look at that. Is that our formidable husband-to-be checking in already?"
Zayn looked up, his eyes glowing softly. "In just a few hours," he said, the weight of the moment settling in, "he’ll be my husband, and I’ll be his. We’re finally going to claim that title for real."
Nantam watched him from across the room, taking in the deep flush of pink that crept up Zayn’s neck. He couldn’t help but smile at the sight. It wasn’t just a blush; it was the look of a man who knows he’s claiming what he deserves.
The driver arrived shortly after. The stylist and the wedding entourage moved with practiced precision, packing every essential as they escorted the groom-to-be toward the waiting vehicle.
Meanwhile, on Evric’s side, the master suite hummed with controlled chaos as stylists worked carefully around him. The door opened shortly after, and Evans, Chrisly, and Nuala walked in.
The moment Evric saw them, his expression softened, the tension in his shoulders easing as a genuine smile broke through. His mood lifted instantly, as if their presence grounded him.
Nuala didn’t hesitate. She crossed the room quickly and wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug.
"Congratulations," she said softly, her voice warm with emotion.
Evric laughed under his breath, returning the embrace just as firmly, the weight of the day settling in his chest, not with fear, but with confidence.
Evans and Chrisly watched him quietly as Evric turned his attention to his reflection.
When he finally spoke, his voice faltered, emotion breaking through the calm he had been holding onto. His eyes shimmered as he met his own gaze in the mirror.
"You know, he murmured. There were so many times I thought I was going to lose him," he admitted softly. "The challenges, the people who tried to pull us apart... loving Zayn and building a life with him was never easy."
Evans stepped forward and rested a firm, steady hand on Evric’s shoulder. His expression softened, pride shining openly in his eyes.
"You’ve really done well, Evric," he said quietly. "Being here today... It reminds me of how much my little brother has grown."
He lifted his hand as if to cup Evric’s cheek, then stopped just short, careful not to ruin his makeup.
Evric smiled, a rare softness crossing his face as he leaned instinctively toward his brother’s palm.
Evans chuckled and gently pulled his hand back. "Careful. You’ll ruin your face, and today, you need to look like the formidable Draeven you are."
Evans shook his head with a quiet laugh, his eyes shining. "I still can’t believe my little brother is doing this before me. You’ve grown so much, Evric. But no matter how far you go," he said softly, "I’ll always be proud of you. You’ll always be my little boy."
"What about me?" Chrisly cut in, folding his arms with mock offense.
Before Evans could respond, Nuala chimed in with a grin, "Yes, what about me too?"
Evans laughed, looking at all of them with affection. "All of you," he said warmly. "No matter how much you grow, you’ll always be my babies."
Evric smiled through his unshed tears, his chest heaving with emotion as he pulled all three of his siblings into a fierce embrace.
"We’re so proud of you," Nuala whispered softly. "You’ve always honored this family, but the man you’ve become for Zayn... that’s your greatest achievement."
Evric’s phone buzzed at that exact moment. He checked the screen and smiled.
Zayn: I’m here, babe.
Evric immediately started for the door, driven by the instinct to see him. "I need to go check on Zayn."
Evans blocked his path, grinning. "Absolutely not. You aren’t seeing him until he walks...
