[BL]My Stepbrother, My Fated Omega-Chapter 89: Honeymoon
Before Ash could say another word, Lucien was already there-his steps quick, expression tight. He reached the pavement and caught the unsteady Ash just as he swayed, gently but firmly taking the microphone from his hand.
"I’m sorry, everyone," Lucien said smoothly, offering a polite smile to the crowd. "My fiance here is just...a little jealous. He misunderstood something between me and my old high school classmate."
He pointed toward a female omega standing among the guests. All eyes turned to her. She raised her glass gracefully and smiled, easing the tension. A few people chuckled softly, murmuring in relief.
Across the room, Lucien’s eyes met Adrian’s. He gave a subtle shake of his head.
Then he turned to back, sliding an arm around Ash to steady him. "Come on," he whispered, his voice low.
But Ash resisted weakly, his voice slurring, "I haven’t finished talking yet!"
Ignoring the stares, Lucien lifted him up and carried him out of the hotel, leaving the crowd murmuring behind them.
The following morning at the penthouse, Ash groaned softly, his head pounding.
Beside him, Adrian stirred, one arm still draped around his waist. Without opening his eyes, he murmured, "That’s what you get for drinking too much last night." His tone shifted, low and firm. "And I’m still angry with you."
Ash blinked, sitting up slowly. "What happened?" he asked, rubbing his forehead.
Adrian didn’t answer.
Then fragments of memory flooded back, the microphone, the crowd, the words he had shouted. Ash froze, guilt washing over him. He turned to Adrian, whose eyes were now open, clam but unreadable. "I’m really sorry," Ash said quietly. "For that public confession...I must have caused you trouble."
Adrian sighed, reaching out to pull Ash gently closer until his head rested against his chest. "I don’t care about that," he said softly. "You had every right to be angry." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
He touched Ash’s stomach lightly. "What I care about is this, you put our child at risk by drinking that much. Next time, if you’re upset with me...take it out on me, not on yourself. Understood?"
Ash nodded, voice small. "Okay."
Adrian’s phone rang, breaking the quiet. He reached for it and saw Lucien’s name flashing on the screen.
"Has he woken up?" Lucien’s voice came through.
"Yes," Adrian replied.
"Good. Let’s meet at your place then." Without waiting for a response, Lucien ended the call.
Ash glanced at him. "Why are we meeting at your home?"
"My father asked for our presence," Adrian said, setting the phone aside. "Yours too. I’m not sure what he wants to discuss. Lucien’s parents will be there as well."
He rose, went to the kitchen, and returned a moment later with a glass of water and a small pill in his hand. "Take this for the hangover," he said, handling it over.
Ash swallowed the medicine, chasing it with water. Adrian took the glass back and placed it on the nightstand.
Without saying anything more, he leaned forward and lifted Ash into his arms. "Come on, " he murmured. "I’ll help you bathe."
Ash’s cheeks warmed, but he didn’t protest.
...
At the Leiclair mansion, the morning light streamed through the wide dining hall windows. The table was neatly set-warm bread, eggs, fruit, and freshly brewed tea filling the air with a comforting aroma.
Adrian’s father sat at the head of the table, while Lucien’s father occupied the other end. On one side sat Celeste, with Adrian beside her. On the opposite side were Ash and Lucien.
Celeste glanced up from her plate. "Father, why isn’t Mother here today?"
Her father sighed lightly. "It’s her clinical day, don’t you remember?"
Ash blinked, looking puzzled. Before he could stop himself, he asked, "What’s she suffering from?"
Lucien answered quietly, "Leukemia. She’s been fighting it for ten years...but lately, it’s been getting worse."
Ash’s expression softened . "I’m sorry. Is there anything that can be done?"
Lucien gave a faint smile. "She’s strong. She’s learned to live with it. She’ll pull through, like she always does."
Ash nodded slightly, his gaze dropping to his plate.
Adrian’s father then cleared his throat, drawing everyone’s attention. "Let’s eat first," he said simply.
After breakfast, they all moved to the living room. Once everyone was seated, Adrian’s father spoke again, his tone calm but firm.
"I called you both here today," he said, looking between Lucien and Ash, "because your father and I have decided, it’s time for you two to get married."
No one looked particularly surprised, not Ash, nor Lucien, nor Adrian.
Lucien’s father leaned forward. "Yesterday, you upset your fiance by spending time with that old classmate," he said sharply. "Be careful with your actions. You’re lucky you confessed before I heard worse."
Lucien lowered his gaze and gave a small nod.
"Good," his father continued. "Now, when should the wedding be announced? The sooner, the better. You two need to start building your family as quickly as possible."
Adrian’s father frowned slightly. "Before the wedding, we still need to settle the dowry negotiations, and your mother isn’t around to witness it."
Lucien’s father turned toward Ash. "Do you have any other family member we can discuss this with?"
Ash paused, thinking for a moment before replying quietly, "My grandmother’s sister. She can represent our family."
Both men nodded thoughtfully in agreement.
...
One month later, the dowry had been settled. The wedding followed soon after; simple and private, attended only by close relatives, a few high-ranking officials, and Grandma Annette, who watched with quiet pride.
After the ceremony, Ash and Lucien sat together in the back seat of a car, driven by Bravin. The mood was light.
Ash smiled, leaning back. "You know," he joked, "now half of your property officially belongs to me."
Lucien exhaled softly. "If you want it all, take it," he replied, a faint smile tugging his lips.
Ash laughed, then added teasingly, "I can’t imagine Adrian’s face right now, us going on honeymoon while he’s left behind."
Lucien gave a short chuckle.
Just then, a car suddenly stopped in front of them, blocking the road. Both Ash and Lucien exchanged a puzzled looks.
Through the windshield, they saw Adrian step out of the vehicle. He walked straight toward them, opened Bravin’s door, and said evenly, "Take that other car back. And if anyone asks where I went, you don’t know."
Bravin nodded quickly. "Yes, sir."
Adrian then slid into the driver’s seat, glancing at the two behind him. "Did you really think I’d let you two go off alone?" he said, starting the engine.
Lucien frowned. "Just don’t get us in trouble with that witch of yours."
Adrian smirked faintly. "Don’t worry. Everything will end soon. We just need to wait until she gives birth."
Once Bravin cleared the way, Adrian drove off.
Ash looked at him curiosity. "Don’t tell me you’re taking us back to the penthouse."
Adrian shook his head, eyes still on the road. "No. We’re heading to the beachside hotel, overseas. Our honeymoon starts there."
...
A few hours later, their jet soared quietly above the clouds.
At the resort by the sea, the days passed peacefully. They spent their time walking along the shore, swimming beneath the golden light, tasting local dishes, and riding horses beside the waves.
And at night, away from the noise of the world, they shared moments of closeness that spoke more than words ever could.
...
On their last day before returning home, their suitcases were already packed. The ocean breeze drifted softly through the balcony curtains as Ash sat at the edge of the bed, gazing at the restless waves.
Adrian approached quietly, wrapping his arms around Ash’s waist and resting his chin on his shoulder.
"What’s with the sudden change of mood?" he asked in a gentle voice.
Ash exhaled heavily. "I can’t stop thinking about joining the university under Enigma Stephen," he muttered. "Just the thought of him bossing me around makes me irritated."
Adrian chuckled, pinching his cheek lightly. "You think too much, you know that?"
From across the room, Lucien, who had been scrolling through his phone, suddenly said, "I’ve got an idea to make things a bit easier for you ."
Adrian gave him a questioning look. "What kind of idea?"
Lucien only smirked, fingers flying over the screen. A few seconds later, both Ash and Adrian’s phones chimed with a notification.
Ash picked his up, brows furrowing. "What’s this?"
Adrian leaned in beside him. On Instagram, Lucien had posted a picture of himself and Ash smiling together-with two emojis beneath it: 🫃🫄.
The two turned to him in disbelief. "Lucien...what did you just do?"
Lucien slipped his phone into his pocket, grinning. "Problem solved. Now everyone knows we’ve got our own little family on the way. No one’s going to bother you anymore."
Adrian sighed, rubbing his temple. "You’re unbelievable."
Ash groaned quietly, though a small, helpless laugh escaped him.
...
Back in the country, Lucien’s mother was seated in the living room, scrolling through her phone when the post appeared on her feed. Her expression froze.
" What on earth..." she murmured, staring at the screen. "Ash being pregnant, fine. But Lucien?" Her pulse quickened. "That can’t be right. It can’t be Ash. Unless..."
Her thoughts stopped cold. Dr. Stephene.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Stephene leaned back in his chair, the same photo glowing on his phone. A faint smile tugged at his lips as the comment section filled with speculations, some even tagging him, claiming the baby was his.
He didn’t respond.
He only smiled, eyes glinting with quiet amusement.
