Black Online-Chapter 155: Darkdome’s Grave
"Blades of Light!"
Evelyn said.
The golden grimoire glowed, and close to fifty golden light swords emerged from the grimoire’s pages.
They hovered around her.
She then pointed her hand at Fang Raon—her finger looking like a pistol—and she then pulled back her thumb.
As if she were pulling the trigger.
The blades of light started flying through the air towards him.
"Argh!"
Fang Raon tackled through a door and escaped into a side room—the flying swords flew past the room.
While he was climbing back to his feet, Evelyn strolled into the room and pulled out a golden-bladed sword from the grimoire.
"The Golden Sword!"
She swung it at Fang Raon, and he narrowly dodged while golden blade almost grazed his face—missing just barely.
The camera was hovering above them, and the chat was panicking as they didn’t know what had happened to Della.
They didn’t know whether she was just being mind-controlled, possessed by a ghost, or whether she was just dead!
"Hard Slash!"
Fang Raon brought his sword down.
Evelyn summoned the light mirror and used it as a shield and blocked the very strong sword slash of Fang Raon.
"Light Mirror—Reflection!"
The attack got reflected back to Fang Raon, and his chest suddenly gushed with blood as a sword wound appeared.
[-300 HP]
[HP: 400/700]
’I lost so much health. It looks like the mirror doesn’t only reflect the attack back to the attacker, but it can also increase the damage output!’
Fang Raon thought with a serious expression on his face.
"Della, are you in there? Are you really letting this ghost control you? Wake up, please!"
He screamed.
"There is no Della. There is only Evelyn."
She said with a grin and swung the golden sword at him, and he barely blocked it with his Refined Sword.
However.
[Durability: 72/100]
His sword’s durability suffered every time he clashed with the golden blade, and even though it was a Tier III weapon, it was still worse than the golden sword!
The golden sword came swinging at him, and he kept blocking—clang~clang~—they kept fighting in the glow of the moonlight.
Evelyn pressed forward and recklessly thrust her sword forward—a very risky move—it left her open to a counterattack. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
With a well-timed "Basic Parry," Fang Raon deflected her stab, and Evelyn was wide open for a finishing blow.
"Basic Slash!"
He swung, nearing Evelyn’s throat, and she simply smiled without even trying to fight back.
At the last possible moment, Fang Raon stopped the swing, and the blade stopped inches away from Evelyn’s skin.
"Hehe~ You like this girl, don’t you? You are afraid to hurt her... That’s why you’ll never beat me~"
Evelyn giggled.
"Tch!"
Fang Raon backed away with a struggling expression on his face.
He didn’t want to hurt Della and kill her—she was clearly just possessed—and she must still be somewhere in there.
Evelyn summoned the golden grimoire back to her, flipped through the pages, and found what she was looking for.
"Light!"
Bright golden light poured out of the grimoire and flooded the entire room and the house—scaring away all the darkness.
"Ugh!"
Fang Raon closed his eyes.
[RedPanda: Ahh, flashbang!]
[Larexted: I can’t see anything!]
With the golden sword in hand, Evelyn then rushed towards Fang Raon, who was still blinded by the sudden light, and swung the sword at him.
In that moment, he weaved past the sword and grabbed her wrist, stopping her attack—she looked shocked.
Fang Raon swept her legs from under her and pinned her down to the ground—the golden sword flew out of her hand.
"Ah..."
Evelyn looked surprised.
She couldn’t understand how Fang Raon was able to move that fluidly even without his eyesight, but unfortunately for her, he had some experience with that.
"Grimoire!"
Evelyn shouted and summoned the grimoire back to her, but Fang Raon just slapped it away, and it fell to the corner of the room.
The grimoire’s pages fluttered until it banged shut.
"Get out of Della’s body."
Fang Raon firmly said.
"Or what? Hehe~ I happen to be enjoying this new body of mine. This girl is such a cutie, isn’t she? You want her, don’t you?"
Evelyn smirked and licked her lips suggestively.
"Get. Out. Of. Her. Body."
Fang Raon coldly said.
"OR WHAT?!"
She screamed.
It sounded very haunting like the scream came from a banshee.
"What do you want in exchange? There must be something that you’d want. Tell me what it is, and I’ll make it happen."
Fang Raon said.
"There is something I want, and it just so happens that I need you for it."
Evelyn smiled.
"...Will you give Della her body back?"
Fang Raon asked with a frown.
"Maybe I will~"
Evelyn giggled.
He wasn’t sure whether he should be trusting her, but he was out of ideas, as he wasn’t able to get Evelyn out of Della’s body.
He stood up and backed away.
Evelyn stood back up, picked up the grimoire, and made it disappear—she then turned around with a smile on her face.
"Follow me~"
They left the house, walked down the dark forest for a little while under the crimson moon, and arrived back at the cemetery.
"My dear~"
Evelyn stopped in front of a gravestone.
[Here Lies ~Richard Darkdome]
She reached her hand towards the soil, feeling the cold earth beneath her fingertips, and she then pushed her hand into the ground.
In that moment, she pulled something out—it was a ghostly figure that looked eerily similar to her deceased husband.
Another ghost!
However, this ghost of Rickard Darkdome was asleep—in deep sleep—and he didn’t seem to be waking up.
"If you give my husband a body—just for a little while—I’ll return your girlfriend’s body back to her. Is that a deal?"
Evelyn asked.
’Can I really trust her? What if I also lose my body forever? Unfortunately, I don’t really have a choice in this matter.’
Fang Raon sighed and nodded.
In that moment, Evelyn approached him and stuffed Rickard’s ghost into his body, and Fang Raon’s eyes turned blank.
’I... Feel... My... Consciousness... Slipping... Away...’
