BLOOD MUTANT SYSTEM.-Chapter 443: CH: THE GRANIAN SIBLINGS
[Planet Grania]
[Gravax’s Warehouses]
Unconscious for God knows how long, inactive for that same amount of time, and only recently revived, Ace grew furious the moment he read the system notification informing him that he had lost his two Blood Acolytes.
Jim and Anya were a crucial part of his identity as a Blood Prince and were destined to play crucial roles in the future of his Blood Kingdom.
Now that they were gone, it left a massive gap that he wasn’t willing to spend more time or energy refilling. So instead of doing the former, he decided to ask Gravax for help retrieving the two Blood Acolytes from the Ethisians.
Unfortunately....
[Blood Control Lv4: Activated]
At first, Ace tried to make sense of Jim and Anya’s disappearance. Before jumping to harsh conclusions, he assumed Gravax had done something to their Blood Genes. After all, the Granian was known for performing questionable scientific procedures on the humans.
But that wasn’t the case this time.
Still, Ace gave him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe Gravax was "renewing" their Blood Genes or their symbiotes.
Right?
None of these thoughts or assumptions were answered. Whenever he attempted to ask, the red-scaled Granian simply dismissed or ignored the Blood Prince entirely.
And he didn’t like that.
It was already bad enough that the Granians lost two humans before the five they currently possessed. Now they had lost two more, and yet they seemed completely unbothered.
Ace felt like a fool for believing they would do something about it. Even when he tried to suggest a course of action, he was brushed aside.
So he had no choice but to take matters into his own hands.
"You and Grania are coming with me to retrieve Jim and Anya. We have come too far with them to let the Ethisians simply take them from us. And they have done too much to just be forgotten."
While his Blood Commanders got rid of the other Granians, Ace suspended Gravax in the air by manipulating the blood pumping through his veins.
The Blood Prince, feeling cornered, decided to take matters into his own hands, whether the Granians wanted to or not.
"I’m sure Grania’s heard the commotion by now. We’re going to enter a ship, you will fly that ship to wherever Jim and Anya are, and I will retrieve them myself..."
While the Blood Prince yapped, Gravax managed to regain control of one of his hands.
With his eyes fixed on the two cylindrical containers that followed him, he motioned for the two specimens inside to come to his aid.
*CLANG*
The cylindrical containers housing Ace and Cherry’s Granian clones shattered violently as the two sibling clones broke through the glass and rushed toward Ace in response to Lord Gravax’s distress signal.
Ace’s Blood Commanders sensed the impending danger immediately and moved into formation.
Ely, wielding her mastery over Blood Magic, attempted to corrode the blood within their bodies to stop them permanently.
But the attack failed horribly.
Granian Cherry leapt toward Ely with blood tendrils shooting from her back. The moment they touched the Blood Commander, the tendrils absorbed her essence until she ceased to exist.
[The Fluxborn Commander has ceased to exist.]
[The Fluxborn Commander can be resummoned provided you have enough mana.]
The first to fall was Ely, and now, Enoris and Exon were next.
Granian Ace locked his gaze onto Enoris, the largest and most likely the strongest of the commanders.
While closing the distance between them, Granian Ace morphed his arms into long, curved blood blades.
The two foes clashed immediately with each other, their attacks growing faster and more violent with each exchange.
Enoris, however, was finding it hard to keep up with her master’s Granian counterpart.
Her size, height, and mass difference made her physically stronger than the clone, but it also made her significantly slower.
On her own, Enoris was significantly faster than most, but against this agile opponent, her mass worked against her.
Still, that didn’t mean she couldn’t use it to her advantage.
Instead of matching blade against blade with Granian Ace, Enoris absorbed her sword and shield back into her body, leaving her with only her armor intact.
Luckily, she didn’t have to worry about injuries.
She wasn’t an organic being that bled.
She was a being conjured from the blood of her and her master’s enemies.
"YOU’RE A FALSE IMITATION OF MY MASTER!!" Enoris roared.
Her glowing scarlet eyes burned even brighter as she grabbed Granian Ace’s blood blades with both hands.
The clone’s body was lifted off the ground forcefully before being slammed violently into the earth beneath her crushing stomp.
Keeping him pinned beneath her foot, Enoris ripped the clone’s arms from his body and reached down to grab his face.
However...
*SHLING*
[The Seigeborn Commander has ceased to exist.]
[The Seigeborn Commander can be resummoned provided you have enough mana.]
Granian Ace’s body erupted with thirteen-inch blood spikes bursting from every inch of his form. The spikes pierced straight through Enoris, and the moment they did, her essence was absorbed into them.
"That’s enough!!"
Ace, having seen enough of his soldiers’ humiliation, recalled Exon before he could even enter the battle.
Instead, the Blood Prince opted to fight the Granian imitations of himself and his sister on his own.
[Blood Control Lv4: Activated]
With both hands outstretched, Ace attempted to suspend the Granian sibling clones the same way he had suspended Gravax.
However, his attempt failed the moment he saw them mirror his movements.
The two clones countered Ace’s technique with the exact same ability, cancelling each other out.
"What the hell are these, Gravax?"
Words couldn’t describe how disturbed Ace felt at the sight of the sibling clones, especially after what he had just witnessed.
Them looking like him and Cherry and possessing the same abilities did not sit right with him.
’This is Gravax’s doing!!" 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"What are these?" Ace demanded.
Gravax approached the sibling clones and grinned maniacally.
"These are the new and improved Granian, Human, Blood Mutant crossbreeds." He explained. " It was bad enough that we lost two humans before. It is even worse that we have now lost two more. So instead of worrying about losing you and your sister, it was better to immortalize your essence in these two."
Smiling calmly, he pushed the clones’ arms downward, forcing them to cancel their attack.
Without hesitation, Ace retaliated.
He suspended the clones in the air, expanded the blood within their bodies, and detonated them from the inside.
"Tsk tsk tsk. Simple-minded human..."
Gravax remained completely unfazed.
Ace watched in disbelief as the impossible unfolded before his eyes.
Granian Ace and Cherry’s shredded remains began to regroup and reconstruct themselves.
Shattered bone fragments fused back together, ripped muscles grew back, and once torn skin sealed itself.
Within seconds, the two sibling clones stood alive once again.
"...did you think I wouldn’t account for this?" Gravax sneered.
His expression darkened as he turned to the clone.
"Put him down."
