Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 226: Gadgets, gadgets, gadgets!
Jimmy liked to call the idea of cloning himself as option number two. He considered it the second option, as it wasn’t ideal, and he didn’t want to give it the privilege of calling it his best plan.
He could clone himself, tens, or maybe hundreds of times. Was it a good idea? Not by a longshot, but with tens of ’dinosaur tamers’ to help him make, and tame Compy clones, for example, he’d have hundreds of clones out of here before the first platoon of the enemy army could attack!
He’d get a lot done within twelve hours, but this inherently came with the problem of having tens of clones of himself to deal with. Clones that would inevitably survive the first attack from the enemy, because the Compy clones would be doing most, if not all of the work.
After that, he’d either have to kill his clones, transport them somewhere else in the world, or spend the next few weeks making sure that they didn’t fight each other, and adjust the entirety of the tribe to give those clones a good life here. It was a complicated process, one that he didn’t want to indulge in. Other than that, he wasn’t so keen on sharing his bunker with ’himself’, not to mention anything else, so he was avoiding the second option like the plague right now.
An alternative option would be to bring a bunch of tribesfolk with Dinosaur Strength here, clone them a few hundred times, and send them to war, but that raised similar issues, along with severely ethical issues, as those clones would be just as human as the originals, and yet they’d all get slaughtered in battle.
He didn’t like this idea either, but he kept it at the back of his mind nonetheless, just in case he ran out of options.
As of now, since he technically did have a little bit of time to experiment with some other concepts, other plans, he focused all of his attention on option number three.
Option number three was available to him as soon as he stepped into the bunker, as it was stashed away in one of the small rooms at the right side of the bunker, specifically, the room where all of those gadgets were stored.
"Please give me something good..." He said, his voice low, as he climbed off of the Compy clone that he used to ride down here. "I really need a miracle, Bunker, give me something to work with."
The gadgets within this tiny room were mostly broken, and useless. Even Terrence, that one-foot tall alien, insisted that the gadgets within this room were useless, but Jimmy was hopeful nonetheless.
He firmly believed that whatever was considered useless by a super-intelligent alien, had the chance to be extremely useful to him, as he was a mere caveman himself, after all, and despite the fact that he studied Electrical Engineering back on Earth, he wasn’t planning on building spaceships, or anything of that equivalent anytime soon, so he didn’t need his tech to be super advanced.
In fact, he’d be really happy if he found something as simple as an armory, within the bunker. A gun was a gun, regardless if those guns shot plasma blasts, or bullets, so he was hoping to explore the rest of the bunker later on, and look for an armory. If he could find just a few charged guns, then he could prevent the inevitable a little while longer, because guns would offer him the grand advantage of initiating ranged attacks, attacks that the enemy couldn’t do anything to stop! He could mow that whole platoon down in an hour if he had a couple of plasma guns on him!
Anyway, Anna and Gaark weren’t aware of what Jimmy was planning, but they did follow him down here. They remained mostly quiet on the way down, just so they could give him the space to think, but now, as they saw him rustling through the boxes within the snug room, they couldn’t help but ask questions. Well, Anna asked most of the questions.
"What are you looking for, Jimmy?" She asked, "Can we help?"
Jimmy did not answer immediately. He had his head stuffed in one of the many cardboard boxes, and at this point, he was behaving as frantically as Terrence was, when he had been looking for that advanced wristband of his.
Jimmy didn’t know what he was looking for. He preferred to find weapons, any kind of functional weapons, really, but he knew that this room wasn’t where weapons were stashed, so he was hoping to find anything functional, anything that would help him win the gruesome battle that was to come!
At last, he straightened his back, and carried a few small gadgets that he had fished out of the boxes, and then, he said, "I don’t know what I’m looking for, but if you see anything useful, let me know."
Anna wanted to help him, but she avoided stepping into the room for two reasons. The first reason was that she didn’t want to break his train of thought, his focus, as she had some high hopes revolving around him, and his ideas. She knew that he was going to find a good, smart solution to this brutal war sooner or later, and so she didn’t want to get in his way.
Secondly, she didn’t want to waste time in this tiny little room. One person rustling through the boxes was enough, so she tapped Gaark on the shoulder, waved her hand, gesturing him to follow her, and she aimed to explore the bunker.
She said, "Me and Gaark are gonna go look for weapons, Jimmy. I’m assuming you haven’t had the chance to explore the entire bunker, with everything that has been going on these past few days."
Jimmy locked eyes with her, smiled, and said, "Weapons... Yes, we could really use weapons. Be careful, and get back to me if you find any guns that still have a damn charge on them. If you don’t find anything, go grab my plasma pistol in the cloning room, and see if you can figure out how to charge it. We’re fighting a bunch of stupid, hairy cavemen, after all, so one gun will make all the difference."
"What’s a gun?" Gaark parroted, as confused as ever, as most of the words these two spoke went over his head, regardless of the fact that he was somewhat intelligent himself. "Is it a spear, or...?"
"It looks like a fancy spear," She said, "Don’t worry about it, I’ll probably see them before you will. Pay attention tonight, Gaark, because we need to teach you a bunch of shit that’ll help us survive this shit-show."
Gaark wanted to ask what a shit-show was next, but he figured that it wasn’t the best time to do so. He wanted to help, even if he didn’t know how to help just yet, so he simply nodded quietly, and followed after Anna.
