Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 234: Flying Compy
Time was the one thing that Jimmy did not have. He had a painfully limited amount of time to craft a great counter-attack against the enemy, and considering the intensity of the matter, he ideally wanted to do something productive with his time.
Spending a solid five minutes trying to figure out if the Compy clone could move its obnoxiously long tail, did not seem productive to him whatsoever. It wasn’t, and yet time went away from him as if the Gods were speeding up the planet’s rotation, or changing the proximity to its local star.
Things worked to, and against his favor all at the same time.
"I have to undo three damn changes, don’t I?" He held his head, frustrated. "Or maybe two? The tail should shrink along with the Compy if I press button number one."
As he walked back to the panel, again, aiming to press the fourth button on the line, aiming to get ahead of the experimental phase by officially marking it as finished, he did see the clone finally lift its tail.
"Either it’s still fucking transforming, or you were wasting my time on purpose, Compy." He grunted, "Doesn’t matter, the fourth button should reduce the tail size anyway."
Jimmy then pressed the fourth button on the control panel, and every fiber of his being told him that the fourth button was supposed to reduce the tail’s size. He even backed away, to make better observations, but it only took ten seconds for the control panel to practically spit at his face, and at every sense of intuition he had.
The clone, in simple words, started floating! A two-ton beast was floating around as if it didn’t weigh anything at all!
"What the fuck!" He shouted, and took a few steps back.
He didn’t want to get rammed by the clone by accident, but his paranoia was unnecessary, because despite his sensible expectations, the clone did not seem as scared, or even as foreign to the concept of flight!
It floated around as if it was riding a magical carpet, striding across the wide main hall effortlessly, and without care! The fourth button didn’t only make the clone float, but it also gave it a grand understanding of how it was supposed to float!
"So the syringe taught it how to fly?" He figured, "Either it altered its DNA, or spammed its brain with nano-bots? I don’t know anymore... Am I even supposed to care?"
Jimmy tried to stay focused, but there was a lot going on. A flying dinosaur, well, a dinosaur that wasn’t supposed to fly, floating around in his bunker was not in his bucket list, not at all!
He didn’t know what to think, he was confused, and quite frankly, he gave up on expecting the predictable, or even sensible thing from alien technology.
Rather, he tried to focus on the benefits of his discovery. A flying land dinosaur could come in handy, and judging from the flight speed of the clone, pumping up every clone he had with the ability to fly, would certainly help cut corners, and make up for at least half of the time he lost in the bunker tonight! He could see the benefits, the strategy, and necessary tactics to make use of the fourth button.
"Fuck the clone, I can make myself fly too!" He exclaimed, and at this point this whole experience seemed like a fever dream to him, but at the very least, he was aware of the possibilities. "I don’t know if these effects are permanent... maybe I should spend a few more weeks experimenting with this flight thing... assuming we survive tonight."
Anyway, he was aware that he could get ahead of his tight schedule, so he chased after the flying, massive dinosaur, and eventually convinced it to fly down from the ceiling of the bunker.
He got access to the control panel again, and he didn’t want to take away its ability to fly in particular, in fact, he even saw it as beneficial, as they could fly out of here a few minutes later, which should be faster than simply running up the one-thousand foot long flight of stairs.
Instead, he pressed the first button on the control panel, as to reduce the clone’s size by one scale.
He had to wait for the clone to shrink, only to hit the same button again afterwards, but nevertheless, he felt confident about the discoveries he made.
The math cited that he was supposed to win the battle that was to follow less than nine hours from now, regardless of the fact that a whole platoon of one-thousand cavemen were attacking!
"Guess the fucking tail is permanent, then?" He said, as he watched the clone shrink. "Doesn’t matter... I guess a floating dinosaur with a spiky tail can be useful one way or the other?"
Jimmy waited a total of sixteen minutes for the clone to shrink by one scale, and he was just about to go and press the first button on the control panel for the second time, because he needed the clone to be a lot smaller if he was going to get it through the bunker door, however, before he did so, he noticed a figure at the corner of his eye.
He turned his head towards the figure’s direction so fast, that he nearly broke his neck!
At the other end of the corridor, close to where the staircase was located, the same staircase that led to the wrecked communication room, and the landing zone, stood a creature that he almost confused for a dinosaur!
"That’s no Compy..." He held his breath.
The spacesuit the figure wore helped him understand that he wasn’t looking at a dinosaur. He was looking at a six-foot, or nearly two meter tall alien! Seemingly reptilian.
"Are they back?" He asked himself, "If this fucker thinks I’m giving the bunker up, then he won’t make it far."
Jimmy assumed that the original inhabitants, and in fact, creators of this here bunker had returned, and judging from the description that Terrence had given him about them, odds were, this scaly bastard was indeed one of the former inhabitants!
Nevertheless, he was not scared, and even approached the alien, yelling out, "What do you want, you four armed bastard?"
