Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 236: Functional Tribe, kind of
The sun set over the horizon an hour ago. Time was running out, and Jimmy counted nearly every minute of it, because he knew what was at stake. He knew that it was up to him to save the tribe from a mass invasion, because the alternative would be for his entire tribe to flee, and find a new home.
The pressure he felt over his shoulder would put an average lyricist Rapper from back on Earth into manic depression, but he stood strong. He paid little attention to the stress he felt, and simply put some work in to prevent a very horrible morning.
At this point, a third of the tribe had left the comfort of their home cavern just to follow him. They could tell that he had a plan in mind solely based on his rushed stride. They knew that something was going on, because their young Chief didn’t nearly look like he was willing to flee!
They followed after him, adults and children alike. They didn’t care how dangerous it was to leave the cavern at night, and quite frankly, they were so confident of their collective manpower, that they even lit torches up, which in turn would tell many random, untamed dinosaurs their exact location.
They were aware of that, but didn’t care, as other than the many people amongst the crowd who had Dinosaur Strength, there were also some other, powerful people within the group, Jimmy’s girlfriends included. Combat mages of the best grade!
Jimmy was barely aware of the people that followed after him, and after he made it out of the cavern, he simply climbed off of the Compy clone, and stuck the needle of the syringe in its leg.
"This is gonna take a while..." He held his breath in, "Maybe we should attack those jackasses one dinosaur at a time?"
With a little over eight hours remaining before the first wave of enemies struck, he knew that he had to be creative with how he used the clones under his command.
Anna and Gaark brought plasma guns into the equation, yes, but the fact of the matter was that he wanted to build on the advantages he knew he had over the enemy. Even though not everyone in the tribe may not appreciate what he did, he still wanted to do whatever it took to keep his people away from the battlefield.
In other words, he wanted to make sure that he could wipe out all one-thousand people within the swarm of the enemies using the clones and guns alone!
"Can I help, Jimmy?" Nechi approached him, "What’s on your mind?"
"A hell lot," He sighed, "Don’t worry about it, I have the situation under control."
Jimmy finally noticed that over thirty people had followed him out of the cavern. He saw a bunch of familiar faces, including that of Eni and Nechi, the two lovely women who led the volunteers down to the grasslands, and into the river.
His closest people had been running around like headless chickens today, so it was hard to keep a tab on everyone, but he was happy that Eni and Nechi made it back home, safe and sound.
In this odd world, he knew that he cared about his girlfriends most of all. Unlike the rest of the tribe, he knew that they loved him unconditionally, and likewise, he treasured them the most, above everyone else.
Other than Gaark, his immediate family hadn’t been so helpful today, so he was having a hard time caring about them. He didn’t even bother talking to them at this point, and kept doing what he did.
At some point, he figured out that the people surrounding him wouldn’t go away, which was a bit annoying, because he knew that they weren’t watching much of a show here. It took the Compy clone nine whole minutes to buff up in size by one scale, and he was sure that most of the people hadn’t noticed how it changed its size, because their hand-held torches weren’t nearly enough to illuminate their surroundings properly.
He looked at Nechi, and said, "Why’s everyone outside? It’s not safe."
"They want to watch you work," She said, "I don’t think we’re gonna sleep tonight."
"Oh..." He followed along, and then pressed the second button on the control panel once more. "Makes sense."
Jimmy didn’t want to pull the syringe out of the clone, because he couldn’t predict what would happen while the induced growth-spurt was in effect. In other words, he was hardly busy, and had to wait an estimated sixteen minutes for the clone to jack up in size for the second time.
He started paying more attention to his audience, and was convinced that they weren’t going to leave him alone anytime soon. This was when he got an idea, so he tried to wipe the cloud in his mind away, and talked to the group directly.
He said, "Do you guys want to help protect our tribe, or are you gonna stand around all night? I could use your help."
The crowd was shocked when he addressed them directly, and abruptly, but their answers afterwards were quick, and short.
"Of course we want to help!"
"Let’s go and throw rocks at them! They won’t see us coming at night."
"We can block their path too, if we can get some of the dinos to lift a bunch of boulders."
"Yes! The mountain is harsh enough already, if we block their path, we can buy ourselves some time!"
Jimmy enjoyed the fact that they were already planning how to fight the enemy. Initially, he fully expected them to bitch and moan, but as he heard their excited voices, he was reminded that he wasn’t talking to the elders of the tribe. He was talking to mothers, children, men of greater means, or simply, people who actually gave a damn!
Even his father, who annoyed him endlessly a few hours ago, was shouting about taking the battle to the enemy tonight, and end it!
Now that the setting was appropriate, he could respect such an indomitable, albeit suicidal spirit.
However, he couldn’t have them rushing into things without much of a plan. For that matter, he had to address their adrenaline directly, and shape it into a strong arrow, symbolizing unification. An arrow that would pierce through the enemy with precision, and grand strategy!
"We’re gonna throw rocks at them, that goes without saying!" He raised his voice, to match their vibe, "But tell me, do you want to learn how to use our new weapons?"
