Booking Glory-Chapter 61: - Part 3

Inside the ring, the match started heating up and picking the pace. Dacey dominated Diana mostly in the initial setting. After that sneak attack when Diana tried to get into the ring, Dacey took control of the pace and started slamming Diana around.

The crowd was initially booing Dacey, but as she strengthened her control over Diana by repeatedly attacking Dacey in a vicious manner, they became silent. Dacey didn’t do flashy stuff. She didn’t pose for the crowd. She went after Diana with a single-minded focus that kept people glued to their seats.

Dacey picked Diana up from the mat and delivered a suplex to her once more. Diana came out of the bump by arching her back. The pain was visible on her face as she tried to cope with the impact.

Dacey started stomping on Diana once more. She lifted her up and sent her crashing into the turnbuckle with what looked like her full force. Diana slammed into the buckle and once more arched her back to indicate that her back was taking a lot of punishment.

Dacey didn’t let her up. She started kicking away at her. With Diana trapped in the corner, she had no escape route. She had to ride out Dacey’s kicks and punches as she tried to defend herself.

Luckily, the referee forced another Rope Break, causing Dacey to become pissed. Dacey started going off on the referee and shouted at him. She even pushed him back causing the referee to warn her to be careful.

Dacey turned to focus her attention on Diana. However, Diana was ready this time. When Dacey approached her and threw a right hand. Diana blocked it and delivered her own.

Dacey was shocked and she took a few steps back and stumbled. The crowd went wild as Diana came out of the corner with lefts and rights of her own. The crowd cheered her on as Diana forced Dacey to retreat to the opposite corner.

The crowd was truly into it now. Dacey cleverly hid her face behind the ropes causing the referee to interfere and force a Rope Break much to the anger of the crowd.

While they knew that the referee was just doing his job, most of the crowd wanted to see Diana beat up Dacey. They didn’t care much about the rules. They just wanted to see Dacey getting beaten.

Diana argued with the referee a bit and turned her attention to Dacey. And walked right into an eye poke. The crowd had never seen such a thing either. They went nuts jeering angrily at her and the referee.

Unfortunately, the referee’s sight was blocked by Diana’s body and he didn’t see that illegal move. Dacey took advantage of this and turned the tables on Diana. She once again took control of the match much to the displeasure of the crowd.

By now, the crowd was truly fed up with Dacey’s despicable behavior. From insulting a fan to stomping on Diana as she got into the ring, Dacey has not been fighting fairly at all.

Now, the eye poke only added to the perception that Dacey was a cheater.

Regardless of the crowd’s feelings, the match continued inside the ring. Dacey laid into Diana and started chipping away at her bit by bit. She focused on Diana’s back especially by delivering backbreakers and suplexes that targeted her back specifically.

One time, she even suplexed Diana into the turnbuckle causing the crowd to gasp. After that, Dacey proudly strutted inside the ring posing to the crowd as Diana writhed in pain beside her.

The crowd was truly beginning to hate Dacey in this match by now. She had obviously tried a lot of dirty tricks and it wasn’t sitting well with the crowd. Even when the referee forced the Rope Break, Dacey took her time to move away from Diana.

This infuriated the crowd too much, to be honest. So, the boos and jeers were getting louder and louder as the match progressed.

Luckily for the crowd, this situation didn’t last long. Every time Dacey put Diana down, Diana would fight back. She would land one or two shots. Sometimes even going on the offensive for a minute or two before Dacey would shut her down.

However, this was enough for the crowd to be on the edges of their seat. They eagerly waited for Diana to make a comeback. Every time she started fighting back, the crowd would cheer and encourage her.

And every time Dacey took control, they would jeer and boo at her to express their displeasure. The match kept the audience engaged throughout the first seven or eight minutes without any problem.

Whether it was Dacey’s shenanigans, her underhanded tactics, her relentless assault on Diana, or Diana’s stubbornness, her will to fight, and her never say die attitude, all of them entertained the crowd a lot.

When Dacey would take control, the crowd would cool off for a bit and reserve their energy. When Diana starts making a comeback they would cheer manically to express their support for her. This made the match very entertaining for the viewers at home as well.

It was in the ninth minute that Dacey took a bit long in her posturing and made a mistake allowing Diana to stage a hearty comeback. The moment came when Dacey was posturing and humiliating Diana inside the ring.

Diana pushed her away a bit and responded with a perfect Superkick, taking Dacey down for the count for a few seconds. Especially, the sound that came when Diana Superkicked Dacey was so loud and right on note, that the crowd erupted into an ovation right at that moment.

These precious few seconds gave Diana enough room to recover herself from the beating she had been constantly receiving. Diana slowly used the ropes and moved to the corner to take a breather.

The crowd were supporting her all the time. Dacey, who was dazed and dropped to the mat by that kick, slowly rose up. It was clear that she still wasn’t a hundred percent when she started shaking her head to clear the cobwebs.

Right at the count of eight, both Dacey and Diana stabilized their feet and looked at each other. Dacey ran towards the corner intending to smash Diana into the turnbuckle. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

However, Diana moved out of the way allowing Dacey to smash into the ring post instead. Diana used those seconds Dacey was dazed once more to regroup herself and went on the offensive.

Diana made a hot comeback with the crowd cheering her on throughout it. She delivered two suplexes to Dacey and used the ropes to perform a few maneuvers that sent Dacey reeling to the mat.

She didn’t let off Dacey easily after that either. She delivered a running crossbody from the ropes, taking her once more down to the mat. She followed it up by mounting Dacey and viciously punching her.

Diana looked truly unhinged as she got up from Dacey, roaring at the crowd, her hair all messed up. The crowd roared their approval for Diana’s viciousness enthusiastically.

They had been waiting for Dacey to get beat up for the entire match, and Diana delivered it just as they were starting to feel bored with Dacey dominating the match until then.

Diana worked the crowd a bit and then waited for Dacey to stagger back to her feet. The moment Dacey turned around, Diana delivered another perfect Superkick sending Dacey to the mat reeling.

Diana followed it up with a twisting neck breaker. This elicited a great response from the crowd. Diana didn’t let up though. She climbed the top rope and waited for Dacey to get up.

The moment Dacey once more turned around, Diana jumped off the top rope and delivered a vicious clothesline that sent Dacey to the mat again. This time Diana hurriedly made for the cover.

This was the first cover performed throughout the entire match. It was almost ten minutes in and neither Dacey nor Diana had tried for a pinfall until this moment. The crowd had almost forgotten about it.

So, when Dacey went for the cover, the crowd erupted in premature celebration as they figured that the match was going to end. However, the reality wasn’t so. Dacey somehow kicked out at two and a half causing the entire crowd to groan in disappointment.

Even Diana looked stunned that a top rope clothesline wasn’t able to get her a 3 count. She asked the referee about it only to receive a negative reply. Everyone could see the frustration visible on Diana’s face at the moment.

However, true to her experience, Diana didn’t waste any moment. She once more climbed the top rope and lined up Dacey in her sight. She executed a picture-perfect frog splash, only to land hard on the mat.

Dacey cleverly waited till Diana was in the air and moved out of the way. The moment Diana landed hard on the mat, Dacey was on her like a predator smelling wounded prey.

As Diana moaned in pain from the missed frog splash, Dacey pounced on her and started working on her injured abdomen. She started kicking and stomping on Diana’s abdomen viciously for a few minutes.

After that, she lifted Diana up and delivered her a gut checker causing Diana to roll around the ring clutching her abdomen in pain. However, Dacey didn’t let her off. She lifted Diana and hung her on top of the ropes, once again targeting the injured abdomen.

The crowd jeered at Dacey’s targeting of Diana’s abdomen. However, Dacey didn’t stop there. She climbed the nearest ring post and came down hard on a hung Diana with the knee to Diana’s back.

Everyone in the crowd winced seeing that attack. They already knew that Dacey has been targeting Diana’s back the entire match. Now the added injury on the abdomen made them truly worried for Diana as both her front and back abdominal regions were not under attack.

They were worried that Diana might be too injured to kick out if Dacey went for a cover now. True to their fears, Dacey immediately dragged Diana to the center and hurriedly covered her.

One... Two... Thr.....

Diana kicked out at the last possible moment causing the crowd to go wild. They cheered her tenacity on as they enjoyed the look of disbelief on Dacey’s face. Dacey was livid by now.

She started arguing with the referee and trying to browbeat him into saying that it was a 3 count. However, the referee was having none of it and he remained firm in his stance that Diana had kicked out.

Dacey paced the ring in frustration as Diana started moving once more. Seeing her move, Dacey started to take the frustration out on Diana by kicking down on her, much to the crowd’s displeasure.

Dacey didn’t let off there either. She grabbed Diana’s legs and looked at the crowd with a vicious smirk on her face. It was fifteen minutes into the match by now and everyone knew that the match was nearing its end.

It was at this moment that Dacey smirked viciously at the crowd causing a bad feeling to emerge in their hearts. As the crowd predicted, Dacey didn’t have any good intentions.

She twisted the legs of Diana and turned her around. She stood over Diana with her legs on either side and Diana’s legs in her hands and cinched in the Sharpshooter. Sharpshooter was considered to be one of the most devastating moves in the wrestling community.

Dacey cinched in the sharpshooter and wrenched back. This created tremendous pressure on the lower back area and stomach area. With Diana being injured earlier in the match in those two particular regions, it was clear to the fans that Dacey was doing this purposefully.

The crowd watched in anxiety as Diana writhed in pain. Dacey stood over her with a vicious smile on her face enjoying Diana’s screams of pain. It was clear to the crowd that Diana was truly in pain. They could see it on her face.

As the crowd watched anxiously, Diana almost tapped out a few times. But, like always, every time when the hand came near the mat, Diana would ball up her fists and never tap.

This put the crowd entirely behind her.

Diana tried to get out of the hold by reaching the ropes. She slowly, but surely, dragged her body and Dacey towards the ropes. The crowd cheered her on as she crawled her way to the ropes.

The ropes were just inches away from her hands when Dacey once more dragged Diana to the center and sat down on her.

The crowd went utterly silent seeing that. All their enthusiasm turned into disappointment and anger. The anger manifested in the form of boos as they booed Dacey loudly.

They knew that Diana couldn’t hold on for much longer.

They had already seen her writhing in pain and now she was back where it all began for her. Their hearts went out to her as they watched Diana bite her hands in pain and frustration.

However, Diana once more proved their trust in her. She didn’t tap regardless of how much pain she endured. She writhed around trying to find a way out for herself. Her perseverance paid off finally when she managed to reach Dacey’s left leg.

Diana used it as leverage and twisted her body back to the prone position much to Dacey’s anger. She used her legs as leverage and sent Dacey stumbling back with a mighty push with her legs, and freed herself from the hold.

The crowd cheered wildly seeing Diana get out of the hold. But, Dacey was truly livid by now. She started stomping and kicking Diana relentlessly with no mercy. The crowd booed her actions, but she didn’t stop at all.

Being a veteran herself, Diana knew her situation was bad. So when Dacey started kicking, she balled up trying to avoid much damage. But, with her back also injured, she wasn’t able to protect herself.

In desperation, Diana caught one of Dacey’s kicks and swept her off her feet. Knowing that she can’t let Dacey off, Diana didn’t relinquish her hold on Dacey’s legs. Instead, she used the legs as leverage to pull herself forward and tried to put Dacey in a crossface.

Dacey who had just fallen down was truly defenseless to Diana’s offense. But, even she knew that she shouldn’t get caught in Diana’s submission maneuver. So, she struggled to get out of the hold.

But, Diana was relentless and she finally cinched in the crossface. The crowd went nuts seeing Diana having the upper hand. They cheered her on and supported her as she started wrenching on Dacey’s neck.

However, unlike Diana, Dacey wasn’t that injured. She started dragging herself to the ropes immediately. Despite Diana’s best efforts, Dacey managed to reach the ropes in a short time.

Diana was forced to break the hold due to Rope Break. The moment the hold was released, Dacey crawled out of the ring and got away from Diana. Diana wasn’t in any shape to chase after her. So, she laid down on the mat and took a breather while Dacey recovered outside the ring.

The crowd also took a breather. This was the first moment in the match where the two competitors were taking a small breather. It was already nearing twenty minutes and they both were clearly spent at this point, especially Diana.

This caused the crowd to worry a bit.
