Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 285: Pizza
Tan sneered, but before he could say anything else, Aurora made it clear. She wasn’t afraid of him or his sister.
"Don’t push me, Ruby," she said, her tone colder now. "If I have to, I’ll take this back myself."
Ruby hesitated for a moment, but finally, she handed the tiara back to Aurora, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Aurora took the crown and placed it carefully back in her hands. "Thank you," she said, her smile cold and victorious. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Seeing Aurora’s victorious smile, Ruby suddenly felt an itch in her heart, not a real itch, but the kind that made her want to slap someone hard.
She clenched her fists and glared at Aurora’s back as she sauntered away, walking with quiet pride, her tiara safely back in her hands. When Aurora finally disappeared into her room, Ruby gritted her teeth.
"...Just wait," she muttered in a tiny voice, barely above a whisper.
"Once we move into this house properly, we’ll show every single Waters family member their place. We’ll dominate them."
Jean, still resting on the sofa like she owned the place, smiled calmly.
"Don’t rush, Ruby," she said, her voice light. "Soon, they’ll know their place. Your behavior over that tiara though... it was so aggressive that even I was close to stopping you. We have to be smart, not reckless."
Ruby blinked, a little surprised. "But Mom," she said with a pout,
"I’ve never even seen a real diamond before, not on anything! It was so shiny, so pretty. I just... I wanted it."
Tan sighed and shook his head.
"That doesn’t make it right, Ruby. I get it, it looked fancy. But Aurora isn’t the type to back down. She’s sharp, and she doesn’t act like a pushover. We can’t control her easily. But maybe," he said, lowering his voice, "we can try with the other siblings. We’ll see who’s softer, who’s easier to manipulate. Step by step, we take control. Once they trust us, this whole house will be ours."
Ruby looked serious now and nodded. "Okay, fine. I’ll wait for the others to come. One of them has to be easier than her."
With that, the three of them, Jean, Ruby, and Tan, settled back onto the sofa and started chatting.
They laughed quietly, talked about their "plans," and waited like hunters ready for new prey.
That evening, the door opened, and the first sibling to come back home was Lucas.
He walked into the living room, smiling slightly while typing something on his phone.
He looked like he had a good day. But the moment he looked up and saw the two strangers on the sofa, his fingers paused. His smile faded a little. His eyes narrowed.
Ruby and Tan quickly stood up, putting on their nicest expressions.
"Hi! You must be Lucas, right?" Ruby asked sweetly.
"I’m Ruby, and this is my brother Tan," she said, waving her hand. "We’re cousins! Nice to finally meet you!"
Lucas raised one eyebrow, clearly unimpressed, but he gave a tiny nod.
Ruby’s eyes sparkled as she looked him up and down, not even trying to hide it. ’Wow,’ she thought. ’He’s really handsome.’ Much more handsome than the guys she usually saw. She smiled even more brightly.
"How was your day?" she asked with fake concern. "Work wasn’t too hard, right?"
Lucas gave a small, polite smile. "It was fine," he said calmly, then turned to head toward his room.
But Ruby stepped in front of him quickly. "Hey, why are you running away so fast?" she asked, pretending to pout. "We’re family now! Shouldn’t we hang out more and become close? Like, super close?"
Lucas stopped, his eyes cool and quiet. "I have no interest in being cousins with anyone who isn’t truly my family," he said plainly.
Then, without waiting for a reply, he walked to his room.
The living room fell quiet.
Ruby’s face twitched in anger. "What is wrong with this family?" she hissed. "Each of them is colder than the last."
Tan nodded slowly. "Maybe they’re looking down on us... for how we look, how we dress."
At those words, Ruby exploded.
"What?! So what if our clothes aren’t as fancy? That doesn’t mean anything! We’re not poor! We just didn’t dress up today! If I put on some designer clothes, I’d look just as rich and pretty as any of them!"
She waved her hands angrily.
"And seriously, what do they think they are? Some kind of royal family? They’re just lucky to have a CEO in their house. He’s not the CEO of Google or anything! Ugh, the nerve!"
She kept ranting and pacing back and forth, louder and louder. Tan tried to stop her with a warning look, but Ruby didn’t notice.
Finally, Tan said with a low voice, "Ruby... stop talking. Now."
"What?" Ruby asked, confused.
He motioned with his eyes behind her.
Ruby turned around.
And there was Lucas, standing at the edge of the kitchen, holding a glass of water.
He had clearly heard everything.
Lucas looked calm, but his face was serious. He didn’t look angry, just... disappointed.
"I don’t treat people coldly because I’m some kind of CEO," he said. "I don’t even care about that stuff."
He looked straight at Ruby.
"I just don’t like how you act. Your attitude, your words, the way you look at people, it’s all disgraceful."
Ruby’s mouth opened, but no words came out.
Tan sat up straight, his face stiff. Jean’s eyes widened, but she stayed quiet.
Lucas continued, "You come here, act like you own the place, demand things that don’t belong to you, and then talk bad about my family behind our backs."
He placed the glass down on the kitchen counter, his movements controlled but firm.
"Let me make something clear," Lucas said, his tone sharp like ice.
"This is our home. Not yours. If you want to be treated with respect, you better learn how to act properly first."
Ruby’s hands clenched into fists. She wanted to scream, to fight back, but the words were stuck in her throat.
She had never been spoken to like that before, especially not by a guy she thought might be easy to charm.
Lucas gave her a last cold glance, then turned around and walked back toward his room.
Jean slowly stood up from the sofa, smoothing her dress. She forced a smile, trying to sound calm even though things had gone very wrong.
"Well..." she said, her voice light. "I think it’s better if you both leave for now."
Ruby’s eyes widened. "Leave?" she asked in a small voice.
"Yes," Jean said. "You’ve done enough for one day. Let’s not cause more trouble. Go freshen up, cool down, and... we’ll try again another time."
"Fine," Ruby muttered. "Let’s go, Tan."
Tan didn’t say anything. He just followed her quietly.
The two of them left the living room, not daring to look back.
Once they were gone, Jean let out a soft sigh. She glanced around and noticed that the kitchen was empty. Slowly, she walked in, her heels clicking on the tiles.
She looked around the kitchen and smiled.
Everything was there.
Cheese from a high-end brand. Bell peppers. Onions. Mushrooms. Corn. Even sliced olives and packets of pizza sauce. There was flour in the pantry, and the fridge had fresh dough.
Her eyes sparkled.
"Wow," she whispered to herself. "All the ingredients... I can make a pizza!"
She rolled up her sleeves, tied her hair back with a rubber band, and began working.
Soon, she placed the hot pizza on a plate and carried it to her room like it was a treasure. Her eyes sparkled with joy.
"I haven’t had a pizza in months!" she said happily. "This feels like heaven!"
She closed her door, sat on the bed, and took a big bite. "Mmmmmm!"
...........
The next morning, Theodore walked into the kitchen with a big smile on his face. He stretched his arms, cracked his knuckles, and looked around like he was about to do something really exciting.
Today was the day. Pizza Day.
He had been waiting for this all week. Because of his diet, he wasn’t allowed to eat pizza from restaurants, so he had learned how to make a healthy version by himself.
He had ordered special ingredients online: low-carb flour, diet cheese, high-quality herbs, and even a fancy sauce that didn’t have sugar. It all had cost him $600, and he had saved up for weeks using his pocket money.
He opened the fridge to grab the cheese.
Empty.
"Huh?" Theodore blinked.
He opened the vegetable drawer. The bell peppers were gone. The mushrooms, too.
He checked the pantry for the special flour.
Also gone.
"...What the heck?" Theodore whispered, his smile slowly disappearing.
He quickly searched all the shelves, opened every drawer twice, and even checked behind the milk.
Gone. Everything was gone.
Now his face was serious. He took a deep breath and walked out of the kitchen into the living room, where some of his siblings were hanging out.
"Hey," he asked calmly, "did anyone see my pizza ingredients?"
