Bound to the vampire I must kill-Chapter 77: Icy ride
Chapter 77
Rhydian stayed still, buried deep inside her, their bodies slick with heat and breathless satisfaction.
His arms were still around her waist, holding her as if letting go would snap the moment in half. Her back was damp with sweat, her body soft and pliant against him, trembling in the aftershock of pleasure.
Neither of them spoke.
There was no need.
The storm had passed. What remained was something quiet. Whole. Like all the fragments inside him, every scar, every rage, every ache...had finally been filled by her.
Slowly, he pulled back, easing himself out of her with care. She whimpered at the loss, but her body sagged against his chest, warm and open, her breathing steady now.
He turned her around gently.
Her purple eyes met his, soft, drowsy, and more beautiful than anything he’d ever known. Her lips were kiss-swollen, her cheeks flushed, and her hair a wild, glorious mess. She looked ruined in the best way. His way.
She blinked up at him, vulnerable in a way she’d never allowed herself to be before. Not with him. Not with anyone.
"I don’t know what just happened," she whispered. Like how they had gone from plucking and eating fruits to a whole full out sex.
Rhydian smiled faintly, brushing a damp strand of hair behind her ear. "You let me in."
She swallowed. "I didn’t mean to."
"I know," he said softly. "But I’m glad you did."
"I didn’t even get a chance to eat the fruit." She said softly, almost complaining. But the smile on her face said otherwise.
"We’ve got lots of time, besides...you were a lot more tasty than that fruit, I just couldn’t hold back." He whispered, pulling her closer as he carefully arranged her hair and clothes.
Seraphina’s blush deepened, her heart racing even faster. He never failed to always make her heart flutter.
Rhydian pressed a kiss to her temple, lingering there like he didn’t want to move. But then he pulled back and stood, his eyes drifting to the glowing fire fruit trees nearby. Without saying a word, he grabbed one, yanked it off the branch, and walked back to her.
He crouched beside her and offered it.
"You still want it, right?"
Seraphina took it, eyebrows lifting slightly. "Thought you’d say it was too late now."
He smirked. "I owe you one."
She bit into the fruit without breaking eye contact. Juice slid down her chin, and she wiped it with the back of her hand. Rhydian stared—at her lips, her fingers, the way her throat moved when she swallowed.
"God," he muttered, his voice hoarse and ragged as his eyes locked on her mouth. "You’re not making this fucking easy."
Seraphina took another bite of the fire fruit, slow and messy. The juice dripped down her chin, and she didn’t even wipe it off.
She saw the way his jaw clenched. The way his eyes darkened.
"What?" she asked, feigning innocence—but her voice was breathy. Teasing.
"I want to kiss you again," he said, low and wrecked. "I can still taste you on my tongue... but now I want that fruit too. I want to feel it when it’s still hot in your mouth. I want both."
She chewed, then licked her bottom lip slowly—dragging it out just to torture him. "Then take it."
He didn’t even blink.
One second she was sitting there with the fruit in hand, and the next—his mouth was on hers. No hesitation. No softness. Just filthy, desperate hunger. He kissed her like he was about to lose his mind. Tongue first, deep, and demanding. He didn’t wait for permission—he took it. His lips crushed hers, swallowing her moan like it belonged to him.
She tasted of fire and sweetness and sex, and it made him groan like a man who hadn’t had enough. Not even close.
Her legs spread slightly—on instinct—and he pulled her right onto his lap, not breaking the kiss. His hand slid under her thigh, the other gripping her face as he tilted her head and bit her bottom lip hard enough to make her gasp.
"That’s it," he whispered against her lips. "Keep your mouth open for me. I want every damn drop."
She whimpered when he licked into her again, deeper this time, and fuck—it was messy. Spit. Juice. Heat. His teeth scraped her tongue. His fingers pressed into her hips like he wanted to leave marks.
And then?
Without warning, he ripped the fruit from her hand and sank his teeth into the exact spot she’d just bitten.
His teeth brushed her fingers. His tongue swept across the juice on her skin before he pulled back and moaned like she was the most addictive thing he’d ever tasted.
"You didn’t even ask," she breathed, cheeks flushed, eyes glazed.
"I don’t ask, Seraphina," he growled. "I take. And if it’s been in your mouth, it’s mine."
He leaned in again, licking her bottom lip before kissing her one more time—slow but filthy, dragging it out until she was squirming on his lap.
"You taste like that fruit," he whispered against her lips. "But hotter. And if we weren’t already fucked out, I’d have you again right here—against this rock, while you’re still sticky with juice."
Her entire body trembled. She couldn’t even speak.
His eyes roamed her face, the smeared fruit on her chin, her kiss-swollen lips. His fingers slid up her inner thigh, stopping just before they reached where she was still sensitive.
"Still want more?" he asked.
Her nod was almost desperate.
"Too bad," he said with a wicked smirk. "We’ve got a whole damn mountain to deal with first."
She almost groaned in disappointment, but she just laughed. "It’s late. We should probably head back before someone starts panicking."
Rhydian chuckled. "They’ll survive."
"We’re not exactly commoners sneaking off," she muttered. "i wonder if those old men are still waiting for you."
"They might just sleep off like last time." He said, and they both laughed.
He stood and extended a hand. "Alright. I’ll carry you down like before. You’ve had a long day."
She looked up at him, lips twitching. "Nah. I’ve got something better."
Before he could ask, she turned toward the slope and lifted one hand. Ice exploded from beneath her feet, spreading in a fast wave down the mountain. Trees, stones, everything was instantly frozen, leaving behind a slick, winding path of ice.
Rhydian blinked. "What the hell—"
She grabbed his hand. "Let’s go."
"Seraphina...wait, what—"
Too late.
She yanked him forward, and suddenly they were sliding. Fast.
Wind tore past them. Rhydian struggled for balance, instinctively pulling her closer. "Are you insane?!"
She laughed. "Probably!"
Her hair whipped around her face, eyes shining as they picked up speed. Rhydian’s boots skidded, but he matched her movement, gripping her waist with one arm, the other held out for balance. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"This is your idea of safer than being carried?" he shouted over the wind.
"This is more fun."
