Breeding System:My Five Beast Husbands Want Heirs-Chapter 20: Drowning
"Greetings, lion king." Hye Yang bowed. "It is such an honour to have been welcomed with great hospitality."
Mira hissed. Hye Yang bent low enough to reveal her cleavage and the timer suddenly became a problem. It was blinking red. She had less than two days to get rid of this brat named Hye.
"Sister. It’s nice to see you." Hye Yang worded, standing upright. Mira sneered.
"Yeah. Same." Mira suddenly felt tensed. "Feel free to settle in for the morning before leaving. I’ll be sure to request some travel supplies for your journey."
"Leaving?" Hye Yang questioned. Mira raised a brow. Well, that was the entire point of her saying ’she could stay for the night’. She only meant one night.
"Yes." Go back to where you came from, bitch! "I am sure mother needs you."
No way am I leaving! Not when the lion king seemed to be in need of company. Female company, Hye Yang thought. And is Mira scared of what may become if I stay longer? The thought made Hye Yang smirk. She should be.
"Mother would want me here with you more as it is your first time." Hye Yang muttered in her typical soft and concerned tone. The one that deceived people into wanting to do her bidding. Into thinking she was nice.
Mira looked pissed.
"Maybe you should let her stay-" Jia Hao began. Mira flashed him a death glare. He swallowed. "I will let you decide this one, darling." He said instead, backing away from the conversation.
Jia Hao’s heart ravaged in his chest. His female was scary.
Mira racked her brain. For some weird reason, Jia Hao was not opposed to the idea of letting her sister leave. If he wanted someone out of his pride, the person would be gone. Mira wondered why. She wondered if Hye Yang was close to her husbands. Now she was wondering how close Hye Yang was to them if she indeed was. This was infuriating though, all her plans had failed.
"I will give you one half day to get yourself ready for travel. If you stay longer than that, I will have the people throw you out. You are my sister but do not pretend that we share a bond." Mira walked closer to her sister, close enough her baby bump brushed Hye Yang’s body. "Get the hell out of here before I make it that you never walk again. I am not the same powerless shemale you once knew."
Hye Yang shrieked. Her puny sister who could not challenge her before was taking her head on. What changed? Was she feeling better than her simply because she bore a heir? Hye Yang’s fist clenched. She had to stop whatever this was. And she was going to make it seem like Mira did it herself. It would be the perfect way to warm her way into Jia Hao’s bed to ’comfort’ him.
Hye Yang surrendered. "I will leave at noon." She said.
"Good. I do not want to remind you." Mira walked away. Jia Hao followed behind her like a loyal companion.
"Did you hear that?" Hye Yang asked when Mira and Jia Hao’s presence was gone. A body slipped out of the home assigned to her. A massive masculine frame stood by the entrance, resting on the door. It was Ming Tao.
"Perfectly clear." Ming Tao said. Hye Yang sighed and feigned fear.
"I thought my sister had changed. When you told me, I truly believed she had and wanted to hold onto that. But she’s so mean to me. I only wanted to help." Hye Yang fell on Ming Tao’s chest, whining. Once again her act always got his compassion.
"The demon of the forest can never change." Ming Tao uttered. "And I will let Jia Hao acknowledge it too." Ming Tao was yet to see this ’she was different’ Mira. He could not understand the bewitching she did with these pride members but he was going to wipe their eyes clear and make them see her for who she truly was. A mean; cruel, horrible, ungrateful and unlovable being.
The same one who found it reasonable to infest her own family’s place of residence with rodents just for the fun of it. Little did she know he was watching. He always was and he always will be.

Mira wanted to take a second bath. It was a really hot morning and Jia Hao was not with her for the first time. He was attending to pride affairs. Even the beast world had political orders they abode by to keep the economy running and it was interesting to see but with Jia Hao away and the morning being so hot, Mira took it on herself to step outside alone and pick her own fruit for a change.
She enjoyed picking fruits. She had never been to farm gardens back on earth so this experience was warming in its own way. It was also a good way to pass time. Mira hummed, filling the basket with fruit she knew when she heard a voice. Someone was nearby and from the scent, it was no pride member.
Mira followed the scent, her nose tracing it. The voice became louder and more audible. Trespassers? Is the pride being invaded by rogues?
"You know, I noticed something unfortunate on you and your little friends’ part when I was informed of the disturbance in my resting place." The person said. The voice was sultry and low yet sounded offended. "Fur. Baby fur of multiple cubs: "
Mira’s nose stopped sniffing. It led her to where the scent smelled the strongest. Just by a river bank.
She stayed still, hidden in the leaves and behind a tree, peeping. It was no trespasser, it was her sister. And she was alone with a lion cub. Mira felt uneasy by this but she stayed there and watched.
"Who told you to do it? Was it my sister?" Hye Yang asked. Her voice was softer now. From where Mira was, she could only see their back view.
The kid shook his head. "I don’t know what you’re talking about:"
Good boy! Remember the meat and don’t give in.
"If you tell me, I won’t mind. I’m actually curious." Hye Yang sang-song.
The kid gave nothing. There was a short silence before Hye Yang spoke again.
"Then how about you give this to my sister next time you meet her? And ask her to cook with it and eat it?" Mira couldn’t see what it was but Hye Yang sounded way too chirpy. This seemed so shady and she did not like it. She wanted to step in.
"What is that?" The child asked.
"Medicine to help with the baby. I’m leaving soon and may forget."
The cub flinched. "You make me uncomfortable. I want meet my dada." Oh, the poor child.
Hye Yang stood, her gaze was icy. What happened next stunned Mira.
Smack!
Loud and heavy across the child’s face that it sent him flying. Hye reached for him and gripped his ear so hard that the child’s struggle was futile.
"Meet your ’dada’? So you tell on me? When I am done with you, he would have one mouth less to feed." Mira did not know why but her body stiffened. Hye Yang was evil and right now, her pregnant and beastless self felt inadequate.
What if she tried to attack her? This body had fear paralysis based on past experiences.
And then it happened. In the blink of an eye. The cub screamed. It was then Mira’s temporary stroke vanished and she lunged at them without thinking. Hye Yang threw the cub into the torrent plagued river. And he was drowning.
