By Seeing Beasts' Training Paths, My Beast Became Invincible-Chapter 48: The life of the lower class
Johnny cleared his voice and said.
"Greetings to all candidates from every land in the world. I’m honored to represent the three lands gathered here and to have the chance to witness this moment."
"The moment when the rough gemstone is perfected. This contest is not something you should underestimate."
He glanced at the candidates, who were still showing curiosity at his words.
Johnny lingered for a while before speaking again.
"An ancient artifact... It doesn’t belong to me, but to the world. I feel quite jealous that everyone here can join this contest, since It will narrow the significant gap between beast tamers of the same age, while widening the gap with those who don’t participate.’’
Johnny shrugged his shoulders.
"I don’t even know why the ancient artifact chose this moment, but I believe it’s an omen..."
He yelled in satisfaction.
"The omen that legendary beast tamers will appear for the first time in the world... and you guys are the chosen ones. Don’t waste this opportunity."
He took a long breath and said,
"Sorry for the long speech. It just feels nostalgic to me."
He added.
"The contest will begin right now. I guess you guys can’t wait any longer."
The candidates gulped in silence. All of them were waiting for what would happen next.
Soon, Johnny summoned a golden orb shaped like an eye. It looked around indifferently. Even Rocky felt a chill run down his spine.
"One of the three ancient artifacts."
He had only heard about it before, from his father. A kind of artifact that no one could wield unless it chose them itself.
Moreover, the ancient artifact would occasionally choose its user and naturally appear beside them. That explained why no one could ever find one by force.
He hadn’t expected his uncle to be chosen by one of the ancient artifacts.
What a weird artifact.
At some point, Johnny’s face began to wrinkle as his hand trembled. He sensed a signal from the ancient artifact. And he knew why.
In an instant, his voice turned cold and inhuman, as if it no longer belonged to him.
"Listen to me carefully, mortal beings."
Some candidates wanted to question the King’s strange behavior, but they couldn’t. It was as if his previous words had become an absolute command that no one could defy.
They could only remain silent and stare at the King in bewilderment.
The King’s lips slowly curled up as he said,
"A game... and don’t die too soon."
Half a second later, everyone’s body began to dissipate into the void.
Rocky frowned when he heard that.
(A game? Don’t die too soon? What does he mean?... A life-and-death game?)
In just one second, he immediately thought about the games he used to play in the afterworld.
(I guess so.)
He sighed as he lost all connection with his body, as if he were nothing but a soul at this moment.
Only his thoughts remained.
After a while, his senses returned, but the two things he felt was suffocation and cold.
He opened his eyes the next second, and his expression twisted in the darkness.
(I’m in the water?.. And that salty taste... How did I fall into the sea?)
He closed his mouth tightly to keep the water from entering his lungs. He didn’t want to die too soon.
(Don’t tell me that "don’t die too soon" meant this.)
He thrashed his limbs, trying to push himself up to the surface of the sea. His swimming ability was quite good. He believed he could make it without getting into trouble.
But just as he thought he had reached the surface, a gigantic wave crashed into him and dragged him even deeper than before.
(Damn it!)
(I need Matt. Maybe he has a useful form for this situation.)
But he scowled as he realized Bobby and Matt had disappeared. They were no longer by his side ever since he fell into the sea.
For half a second, panic gripped his heart, but he quickly shook his head.
(There’s no need to worry. The one who should focus on myself is me. My beast lived in the harshest zone of the beast world, so why should I be afraid?)
He began to activate his [Chaotic Transformation] skill. His body started to enlarge.
Thin membranes formed between his fingers and toes, supporting his movement underwater.
A tail grew from his lower back, moving like a propeller to drive him forward.
(That’s great...)
He instantly broke through the surface of the sea and looked around.
Darkness. And an endless stretch of ocean.
(Where am I?)
Ting!
Instantly, glowing runes appeared in front of him.

Rocky’s expression froze for a moment as he read every word in front of him.
(Points? What are those? And why is Scarlet here... even those bastards?)
He didn’t fully understand everything.
He assumed the ancient artifact had pulled Scarlet into this game, even from a distant land.
He was afraid his sisters might appear here as well, so he quickly checked the ranking board.
Luckily, he didn’t see any of their names. From the familiar names listed, he could tell that only people within the proper age were allowed to join this game.
Ting!
[Because you are in the Low-tier Area, 60% of your points will be transferred to the High-tier Area and 30% to the Mid-tier Area at the end of each day.]
[If you cannot maintain at least 100 points in the Low-tier Area every day, you will die for sure.]
[300 days – Day 1: 23:59 remaining.]
Rocky’s face twitched nonstop as he read the runes in front of him. He felt like he had been reborn in a slum area, where everyone had to survive with whatever they had and offer everything valuable to the higher class.
But what he feared most was that this was a closed circle, meaning he couldn’t escape. He would be squeezed every day just to stay alive.
He would live like a mere gear, supporting the higher classes who had the most points. From the numbers alone, he could tell the rewards would be grand for them.
"Holy shit."
