Rocky’s muscles began to bulge, even making the armor on him crack under the strain.

Rocky snarled, revealing his long teeth. He let go of the longsword and leapt into the air, landing hard on the crab’s carapace.

Rocky and Alina woke up. And the first thing they wanted to do wasn’t fight with monsters, but eat and drink.

Rocky had fought almost all night yesterday, so a caloric deficit was inevitable.

Each of them had a mission.

Rocky returned to the battlefield, where he had slaughtered the crabs, and carried one corpse back to the shelter. Meanwhile, Alina went to find fresh water they could drink—not seawater.
