Carlotta's Daily Report-Chapter 267: Information about Outer Gods
The Undying God, the Sun God, the Space-Time God.
These were the titles of the remaining three Outer Gods. Of course, in the past, the number of Outer Gods wasn't so few. The Sky Island Will told Carlotta that originally, there had been as many as twelve Outer Gods!
Twelve Outer Gods fight against the Eight Divine Beings, once causing the starry skies to dim and the world after world to shatter. It was extremely terrifying.
In the end, all eight Divine Beings perished. But the twelve Outer Gods didn't fare well; nine were slain. The remaining three were sealed away.
Carlotta couldn't help but said, "Twelve versus eight, and yet more of them died, with the survivors sealed. It seems our Divine Beings were stronger after all."
The Sky Island Will hesitated slightly upon hearing this, and said, "It's not quite like that. Unlike our Divine Beings, whose combat strength was relatively balanced, the Outer Gods were divided into two tiers in terms of power. Three of them were particularly strong, each infinitely stronger than our Divine Beings. The other nine were weaker, each extremely weaker than our Divine Beings."
Carlotta's heart skipped a beat. "Don't tell me the three powerful ones are the ones who survived."
"The accuracy of your judgment is remarkable," the Sky Island Will said. "The three who survived the Undying God, the Sun God, and the Space-Time God are indeed the strongest three."
Carlotta sighed, a headache forming.
So the strongest ones were the ones left behind. Was she expected to deal with them? Did they really think so highly of her?
Of the three Outer Gods, she now has only a faint, indirect connection to the Undying God. The Demigod of Destruction once fused with the Undying God's divine power, granting him rapid regeneration. This alone shows how problematic the Undying God can be.
Currently, the Undying God was sealed upon the Moon.
As for the Sun God, he too was sealed on the Moon. This one was said to possess the greatest destructive power once transformed into a sun, he melted an entire world. That world had been ruled by the Goddess of the Ocean, who was slain by the Sun God himself.
And the final one is the Space-Time God...
"The Space-Time God is actually the strongest of all gods, which is why He had to be sealed alone within the Sun."
When mentioning the Space-Time God, the Sky Island Will's tone became especially grave, as if speaking of an unbeatable existence.
True to his name, the Space-Time God wielded the powers of time and space. It was this Space-Time God who had enabled the Outer Gods to cross vast starry expanses and locate their world. To him, the boundless universe and infinite starfields were nothing more than a short journey.
"Mastery over space makes the Space-Time God particularly terrifying. But even more frightening is His control over time."
The Sky Island Will's voice grew heaviest.
The Space-Time God could reverse time itself. If injured, simply reversing time will erase the damage.
But time manipulation clearly extended far beyond that He possessed hundreds unfathomable abilities.
"I've heard that the Space-Time God once stepped into the river of time, traveling to the distant future to see whether their invasion of our world would succeed. He apparently saw signs of victory, which is why the invasion continued."
When the Sky Island Will mentioned this, it sounded deeply unsettled.
Carlotta's expression changed. "The Space-Time God has already seen their victory? Then what's the point of us fighting?"
If the future was already set, who would still have the courage to march toward that predetermined fate?
The Sky Island Will replied, "That is only one possibility, a mere speculation not necessarily true. The Creator God once said it might just be secretly spread by the Space-Time God, meant to mislead us and break our morale."
The future was too distant. Even if the Space-Time God could observe a certain extent of the future, he shouldn't have been able to reach so far ahead.
The Sky Island Will pointed out that the current time has already passed an extremely long span since the divine war occurred. If the Space-Time God could truly observe such a distant future, he would have notified the gods' worlds long ago and never been sealed in the first place.
Upon hearing this, Carlotta felt it made sense.
"So even the Outer Gods can boast." Carlotta said.
She then asked, wanting to know when these sealed Outer Gods would actually break free.
Or perhaps, they would never break free at all?
Carlotta thought that if these Outer Gods were permanently sealed, she could at least rest easily.
"Don't think too optimistically. In fact, the Outer Gods are about to break free."
The Sky Island Will's words fell like a bucket of cold water.
Carlotta's expression shifted again. "They're about to emerge?"
"The Space-Time God on the Sun. I don't know His condition, due to the great distance. But the Undying God and the Sun God on the Moon, I can continuously observe them. In fact, that is my duty. When you were on the Sky Island, you might have noticed the Moon appearing especially large. That's because I am not far from the Moon itself."
It explained that the drifting Sky Island in the world was merely a transmission fragment. The true Sky Island had always remained in an area extremely close to the Moon.
Anyone arriving at the lower Sky Island will be teleported to the real Sky Island.
Only now did Carlotta finally understand.
The Sky Island Will said, "According to my observations, the Undying God and the Sun God are nearing their escape. They may break free within a year. The situation is already extremely serious."
"Within a year?"
Carlotta instantly felt overwhelmed.
Although she had been improving rapidly, whether she could become a god within a year she had absolutely no confidence.
After all, it was an entirely unfamiliar realm to her. Across countless ages, apart from the original eight Divine Beings, no one had ever successfully ascended to that domain. This alone proves just how difficult it truly was.
Was this a realm she could possibly reach in such a short time?
The Sky Island Will warns, "This is actually just a conservative estimate. They might break free even faster. I cannot calculate the exact time. In the worst case scenario, they may have already escaped and are now secretly watching us."
Carlotta's skin crawled, covered in goosebumps.
The Sky Island Will gasped. "Of course, things won't be that bad. After hearing the bad news, let me tell you some good news."
"Good news?"
Carlotta asked in surprise.
"Yes. You don't think that after being sealed for such a long time, the Outer Gods would emerge at their peak strength, do you? In reality, they're extremely weak now!"
Hearing what the Sky Island's will say, Carlotta's eyes couldn't help but brighten.
"The Outer God is currently very weak? Exactly how weak is it?"
Carlotta asked eagerly.
The will of Sky Island replied, "Hmm... compared to that Demigod of Destruction, you and Bova killed not long ago, roughly... about ten times stronger?"
Carlotta's smile froze on her face.
Originally, upon hearing it could be compared to the Demigod of Destruction, she had been somewhat hopeful. But upon hearing it was ten times stronger than the Demigod of Destruction, she couldn't smile anymore.
The Demigod of Destruction had already been powerful enough. Only by teaming up with the High Priestess had she managed to kill it. If fighting alone, she wasn't even sure she could win. Facing a power ten times stronger than the Demigod of Destruction, how could she possibly deal with it?
Rubbing her temples, Carlotta said, "You seem well-informed about worldly matters. You even know what I've done."
The will of Sky Island said, "I can't possibly know everything you've done. But your battle with the Demigod of Destruction earlier was so massive, I nearly thought the Outer God had secretly broken free again, so I took a distant look. Fortunately, it wasn't that worst-case scenario."
Carlotta understood.
Afterward, she continued conversing with the Sky Island's will, asking for sufficient information. Then, she left her own mark within the will of Sky Island, completely taking control of it.
At that instant, she gained complete perception over Sky Island how many monsters currently resided there and their exact positions, the locations of various supplies across the island, who had entered the island and where they were distributed...
All matters related to Sky Island became perceptible to her, as clear as day.
Now she could even condense the entire Sky Island into a thumb-sized object with a single thought and carry it with her, since it was an exceedingly rare and wondrous artifact.
"Actually, you've known about my existence all along. If I hadn't come here, would you have sought me out?"
Carlotta asked the will of Sky Island.
"Perhaps I would have actively sought you out."
The will of Sky Island gave an honest reply.
It had observed events across the world and clearly understood how extraordinary Carlotta's circumstances were. If it had to choose someone to inherit a god's final wishes and oppose the Outer God, Carlotta would be the only choice there simply was no alternative.
Hearing this, Carlotta smiled.
Thus, she felt much more at ease. With Sky Island under her control, she could temporarily seal away an Outer God. That was good news.
Then Carlotta asked, "By the way, are there no other divine artifacts on Sky Island? I mean, aside from Sky Island itself?"
After taking control, she had checked for any divine artifacts, but found none, not even broken ones leaving her slightly disappointed.
Her third-tier ship was currently missing one divine artifact to complete its final ascension into a divine-tier alchemical vessel, and even a broken divine artifact would suffice.
"There used to be one, but I already gave it to you. I noticed you were exceptional, so I gave it to you early as assistance for your growth."
The will of Sky Island replied.
Carlotta was stunned for a moment, then her expression turned complex.
She understood what the Sky Islands Will referred to: the Stellar Workshop. This finally confirmed that the item was indeed a divine artifact.
And the Stellar Workshop's highest function was creating other divine artifacts!
Under normal circumstances, only gods can create divine artifacts. The fact that the Stellar Workshop could do so as well highlights its extraordinary nature.
"I still need another divine artifact. This relates to another arrangement made by the god."
Carlotta explained the situation with her third-tier ship.
She believed the existence of the third-tier ship's blueprint was also part of the god's plan, one of the contingency measures.
After listening, the will of Sky Island couldn't help but sighed, "No wonder they were gods. The arrangements and contingencies they left behind are so numerous. There might even be some setups we don't know about yet."
That was truly possible. Carlotta increasingly felt that the eight gods from back then had been unfathomably profound, making it difficult to understand their original intentions.
The will of Sky Island continued, "Actually, regarding divine artifacts, I happen to know the whereabouts of a broken one. But it doesn't belong to me, you'll have to acquire it yourself."
Carlotta's eyes lit up immediately. "Where is it? And who does it belong to?"
The will of Sky Island answered, "It's in the Southern Continent, something owned by the Demon King. I remember it was called something like 'Demon King's Armament.' Of course, its original name definitely wasn't that. Anyway, after using this item, the Demon King's combat power would approach that of a Demigod of Destruction."
A divine artifact, even a broken one, provided immense enhancement to an individual, especially if it was combat-oriented.
Curious, Carlotta asked, "If the Demon King possessed such a thing, why hasn't he conquered the entire Southern Continent? With the Demon King's Armament, he should have no rival there, right?"
The will of Sky Island said, "Because this item was previously only in the Demon King's possession, but he was unable to use it. Recently, he's gained the ability to use it. Can you guess why?"
"Don't tell me it's related to the Outer God."
"Correct."
The will of Sky Island couldn't help but praise her, feeling Carlotta's intuition was spot-on.
Then it told Carlotta that the Demon Race were actually offspring left behind by the Outer Demon long ago, who, due to certain accidents and coincidences, had landed on the Southern Continent and successfully developed there.
Recently, due to the weakening of the seal, the Demon King had received a bloodline summons from the Outer God, secretly traveling to the moon and receiving assistance. His power was enhanced, and he finally gained access to the Demon King's Armament.
The current Demon King was no longer the same one who had appeared in the Bass Archipelago; he had become far stronger and more terrifying, a truly formidable opponent.
"The Demon King is now the Outer God's eyes and ears, gathering information on its behalf. Actually, I originally wanted you to take the chance to eliminate the Demon King and the entire Demon Race. This is a necessary task."
The will of Sky Island said seriously.
Carlotta nodded. "No problem at all. Those who need to be dealt with, I'll deal with. Besides... Right now, quite a few people are provoking me. It's really annoying to hear."
Having taken control of Sky Island, she had full knowledge of everything happening on it and had noticed that many from the three major factions of the Southern Continent were actively searching for her, trying to cause her trouble.
She felt it was time to take the initiative and deal with these reckless fools.
"Go do what you need to do. The sooner, the better."
The will of Sky Island said the same thing.
