CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 169: Stronger
Princess Cassandra looked at the witch. Her eyes were glowing.
Princess Cassandra knew that there was a fight going on between Princess Elvira and Duke Salvador, but at this moment she did not care. Princess Cassandra only knew one thing because of Princess Elvira, all of this has happened. If there was no witch, to begin with, her friend Amy would still be alive.
It was the witch because of whom the fight took place. Although Princess Cassandra blamed the Grand Duke for the situation, she also blamed the witch. Princess Cassandra blamed the whole Vivere Kingdom.
Princess Cassandra took a step forward as she saw the witch looking at her. Cassandra could see that the Duke was on the ground and she was sure something drastic must have happened in between them. And yet Cassandra was more focused on the witch.
"It was you..." Cassandra said. "I blame you for all of this." Princess Cassandra’s tone shook. Cassandra moved her hand and a large wave moved towards the witch but Princess Elvira created a protective sheet around her forming an aura.
No matter how hard she tried, Princess Cassandra could not break the barrier. Princess Cassandra moved her fingers as the elements came back into the world. Five majestic tigers were on the ground but soon the wind element moved its tail and the elements moved up in the air.
The majestic tigers surrounded the witch. Princess Elvira laughed as she looked around her. "Do you think I will feel trapped?" Her voice was still coated with softness. "I have been in prison for a long time and yet I did not feel trapped."
The elements said in unison. "You should not have existed, your powers take things from its surroundings, you are degrading the life of nature."
Princess Elvira was amused by the words. She laughed "hahaha ..." as her eyes sharpened, her fingers pointing at the fifth princess. "She’s also the one who absorbs the element. She should be your real culprit."
The tigers said in unison. "She absorbs it because we are ready to go into her. She doesn’t change the form of the element. She is simply absorbing it, but you, you change it all. You make it darker and evil."
The Tigers were looking at Princess Elvira with a killing aura as they continued, "We are here to protect life, but your power tries to take one’s life away, destroying it, so that’s the reason you should not exist."
Princess Elvira did not care over the thoughts of the elements. Her lips curled up as an evil smile formed on her face. Princess Elvira moved both of her hands up as a queue of knives of dark aura formed behind her ready to attack. They have only one aim, the fifth princess.
Princess Elvira did not make a single moment of delay as she moved her fingers and all the knives that were hanging in the air moved towards Cassandra.
Princess Cassandra raised her hands to form a shield of water. As the shield formed in front of her hand, Cassandra crossed her arms around her chest. Giving them strength to the shield.
The shield was made up of water but it could not retain the knife attack. So Cassandra pushed all of her powers out and soon the shield solidified.
The dark aura could not penetrate through the ice as the knife fell down. Princess Elvira could feel the pain. She knew that there were consequences, if her attacks did not reach their target she would be suffering as well. Princess Elvira was struggling. But before the witch knew anything, the five tigers made their move.
The wind element moved its tail as a huge wind blew. Princess Elvira was in the air, although the distance was not that large she still could not balance herself and fell down.
Princess Elvira’s eyes widened. The elements had become powerful, it was never the case when they were with Princess Maxima.
The darkness element moved as it formed a chain at Princess Elvira’s legs but the witch was ready this time. She was much faster as she took her step back. Her aura pushed the elements back.
Princess Cassandra took a step forward as she moved her fingers, an earth element moved. The grounds on which Princess Elvira stood elevated. Seeing the grounds shaking. Princess Elvira’s eyes widened and she looked down and saw that the whole rock was moving upwards.
Princess Cassandra moved her fingers and the water tiger opened its mouth. The whole soil was dripping with water. The sand started dripping from it and it collapsed. Princess Elvira, who was on it, came crashing down again.
The witch moved her fingers and a protective layer formed around her, protecting her. Princess Elvira needed to think fast. She looked around and she saw the people behind Princess Cassandra.
Princess Elvira knew that they were all on Cassandra’s side. Maybe that’s why she decided to target them.
The aura found an opening. The ice that had melted in the meantime moved away as it formed a whole person. Princess Elvira smiled. The aura moved away from the people as it traveled into the forest as took energy from the surrounding. But now it is complete and Princess Elvira could feel its presence.
The witch smiled as if she had found something very interesting. "Let the battle begin?" Princess Elvira said. She looked around as she took her body up and the aura started moving from behind her. A person that was ready to kill.
Princess Cassandra felt like it would attack her. She was ready as her powers were concentrated but to her surprise, the aura did not attack her. The aura moved towards the people who were lying on the ground. The first person to be attacked was Prince Cedric who was already on the ground unable to get up.
As the aura was trying to attack, Lord Bentham and Blazh tried to protect. The battle of elements against that of the aura. It was as if life and death wanted to battle out.
Princess Elvira looked at Princess Cassandra as she moved her fingers. The tigers were still protecting her. The witch looked at the elements as she said. "You all have gotten stronger." Her eyes glowed as she looked at the fifth Princess. "but you are forgetting something very important. I am also strong enough."
But soon Princess Elvira’s eyes became serious, "I never knew that she would be the one you loved the most. I always thought that even in this life you would only be in love with the first emperor and yet someone else has taken a deep place in your heart."
Princess Cassandra did not deny the witches’ claim. It was true that Amy had a very strong position and her heart. Maybe deeper than what Duke Salvador had now,
When Princess Elvira said that, she was not looking at Princess Cassandra. Her eyes were focused on the person behind her. Aiden Salvador.
Princess Cassandra knew that the witch was trying to create a rift in between them.
[I know you loved Amy more.] Duke Salvador’s voice came into the fifth Princess’s mind. It made her body relax unknowingly. [I do not blame you because I understand what possession Amy held in your heart. She will be above me, always.] Listening to Duke Salvador’s words, Princess Cassandra took a breath. Her eyes sharpened at the witch,
"So what? He knows it too. We trust each other." Princess Cassandra continued. "Your words will not work on us."
Princess Cassandra moved her fingers as the darkness moved through Princess Elvira’s body. Soon the witch was on the ground.
Princess Cassandra looked back only to see that the aura was fighting with everyone else. Even Duke Salvador had joined them.
Prince Carl and Princess Teimei joined in the battle against the aura. Maybe they would have realized what they had opened.
But no matter how hard they tried, the aura was unstoppable. Whenever they attack, the aura will disperse and reform to attack them. Duke Salvador tried to burn the aura, after all, it looked like a form of gas. It should be flammable, but it was not.
When the water element touched it, the aura would be mixed with water forming a gel-like substance. But the aura did not settle, it left the element as if it was playing with the elements. Trying to net pick what it wanted. No matter how hard everyone tried, the aura was undefeated.
Prince Cedric was now on his legs, standing. Although his legs were shaking he swallowed the pain. Defeating their one common enemy was the priority.
Prince Cedric used his wind element as it attacked the aura whenever it tried to reform, stopping it for a limited time. Although they were doing so everyone knew it was not the permanent solution.
Princess Cassandra’s eyes were fixed on the aura. She knew that there was only one way to stop the aura and it was through the witch.
