CEO Vengeful Wife-Chapter 230: They might spank his ass
Jing Lihua's face was cool and natural.
She sent a fleeting glance in Xiao Shen's direction. There were subtle traces of smile in her eyes.
'Looks like Jing Tian has really made a huge mistake by messing with this Xiao Shen. This Xiao Shen does not appear to be the one who will forgive easily.'
"There is no need." Shifting her eyes back on Jing Tian who still kept bowing in that so-called 'gratitude', Jing Lihua shrugged off her words in the same cold tone.
'Jing Tian seems to have matured up a bit. In the past, she would never have lowered herself in front of me despite the situation.'
But Jing Lihua did not care if Jing Tian humbled herself in front of her or not. Her concerns were distracted with a far deadlier impending threat that Jing Tian or her petty tricks could ever pose. The name of that beautiful threat was 'President Li.'
Thinking of that, Jing Lihua shot a sideway glare to the culprit who wore a very smug smile at his doings. Since he had already forced her in such a situation, she definitely would not let him off easily. With a devilish smile, she said. "Since I knew my little sister is such a fan of Zhou Liqin how could I not have invited him when I had an opportunity? In fact, Mr. Zhou assured me that, despite his busy schedule, he would make time to even attend your wedding."
Following her words, Jing Tian froze.
The guests at the party froze.
But more than everything else, Zhou Liqin froze.
All of them stared at Jing Lihua in shock who confidently wore her signature smile.
"W-What?", stuttered Zhou Liqin in a barely audible voice before the advent of fervent fan screaming.
"OMG, is it true? I can't believe it!"
"Jing Tian is so lucky! Let me share this on my group chat. My friends would do all to get an invitation to the wedding!"
"Quick! Also, share this on Zhou Liqin fan pages!"
"Done it! Jing Tian's wedding is going to be a lot more crowded than we could have expected!"
In a matter of seconds, the news was a hot topic in social media posts.
Just a simple deadly sentence from Jing Lihua had such a tremendous effect.
"Is this true? Wait! Don't we need Zhou Liqin's confirmation before everything?"
"What's the need. We all now Zhou Liqin completes the promises given to his fans."
Zhou Liqin was caught fairly off guard. It happened...so fast!
He could not have expected this. That went without saying that he was extremely busy. He was currently working at an internationally accla
imed fantasy drama series. And to find time with this all going on, how was he supposed to do that with his acutely busy schedule?
His manager would certainly spank his ass!
However, before he could even open his mouth to raise a voice in objection, Jing Lihua swiftly trapped him in an escapable net.
"Mr. Zhou has given me his words. Everyone knows that Zhou Liqin is a person of his words, especially when it comes to fulfilling the promises to his fans. There is no need to hesitate." Jing Lihua's precise words encouraged the few sensible fans who might have stopped sharing the news without words of confirmation from Zhou Liqin.
With that said, nothing could stop the news from spreading like fire.
Zhou Liqin felt his mouth filling with blood.
Jing Lihua smiled; there was a subtle glint of viciousness in her eyes that was only picked up by the person she intended to. Zhou Liqin shuddered quickly forgetting whatever slick words he was hoping to use to mitigate the situation and save his ass.
Following Jing Lihua's words was an even more fervent clatter from the side of the fans.
All amongst everything, Jing Lihua wisely excused herself and left the premises. She did not leave without sending a meaningful smile in Zhou Liqin's direction who still stood somewhat hazed trying to come in terms with what had transpired in a moment of his negligence.
It was a matter of few steps Jing Lihua had taken away from Zhou Liqin and Jing Tian that a swarm of starving fans flooded them.

Placing fussy down, Jing Lihua entered the restroom. After freshening up, she walked out to find somewhat disheveled Zhou Liqin waiting for her outside.
Observing her coming out, he straightened. "Miss Jing." He called, hesitation appeared in his eyes that was amplified with his unsure tone.
Jing Lihua silently raised her eyebrow at him without voicing out any word.
That made it even more difficult for Zhou Liqin to say what he had come to ask. Taking a deep breath, he resolved and decided to go straight for the matter. "I think you already know about Zhao Liying and me. There is no point hiding anymore." Saying that he stopped, not saying another word.
Side of Jing Lihua lip curled up into a subtle smile. "Is that so?"
Zhou Liqin was caught in a difficult position.
'She is not going to continue the conversation? I will have to make clear on my own? Ying'er was right! Her friend is really...difficult.'
With a tone of a defeated soldier, he said. "Why are
you against me? Is there anything in me that Ms. Jing does not like? Ying'er had made it obvious to me how important you are in her life. So I want to make myself acceptable for those close to her. If there is anything that is not to your liking, I am willing to work on it."
Jing Lihua fell silent for a few seconds. Leaning against the wall, she looked at the man before her. Slight bewilderment appeared in her emerald eyes as if she was trying to decipher him. Then, in an utterly innocent tone, she asked. "What makes you think I am against you?"
Zhou Liqin. "..."
Getting me into a situation where I am going to be thrashed by my angry manager and agency?
