CEO, Your Wife Has Left-Chapter 61: Shall We Sleep Together?
Felix Locke leaned in toward Sean Murphy with a wicked grin. "Ronan’s not feeling well. Don’t go tiring him out—try to show some restraint!" The smug, suggestive look on his face really pissed Sean off.
"I won’t wear him out." Sean Murphy’s gaze shifted. "I’ll wear *you* out instead!"
THUD!
Sean Murphy yanked himself away. Felix Locke, who had been leaning against him, suddenly lost his support and collapsed heavily onto the floor.
"Sean Murphy, you ungrateful jerk!" Felix Locke scrambled up from the floor. The fall had genuinely hurt; he hadn’t expected Sean to suddenly move away.
"How am I ungrateful?" Sean Murphy watched the disheveled Felix Locke from a distance, feigning indifference.
"Hmph. No wonder Ronan doesn’t want to wake up. If you’re going to be like this, I wouldn’t wake up either if I were him!"
It was as if a nerve had been struck. Sean Murphy lowered his head and said nothing.
"Sean, you have to treat Ronan right!" Ronan Jenkins was Felix Locke’s childhood friend. Seeing him become like this for Sean Murphy’s sake was something Felix truly couldn’t stand.
After saying his piece, Felix Locke went upstairs to his room, leaving Sean Murphy alone, lost in thought.
Ronan Jenkins was in bed working on his laptop when the door was suddenly pushed open. His eyes widened in surprise, and he nearly lost his composure. He was never good at hiding his true feelings in front of Sean Murphy.
"Why are you here? And with a comforter?" Ronan Jenkins suppressed the unease in his heart and struggled to appear calm.
"There aren’t enough rooms. I let Wendy stay in my room, so I’m here to take care of you," he said, placing the comforter on the sofa.
"I don’t need anyone to take care of me!" ’So it’s about Wendy Vaughn again. Heh.’
"Don’t be so cold. You’re not healed yet." Sean Murphy ignored him and lay down on the sofa.
Ronan’s heart jolted. ’I could be cold to everyone else, but never to him. My heart is full of such burning passion, so why can he never feel it?’
Ronan Jenkins set his laptop aside, threw back the covers, and got out of bed. He walked over to Sean. "Don’t sleep here. You’ll catch a cold."
Sean Murphy looked up from his phone. "Are you trying to kick me out?" His eyes held a pitiful, pleading look. ’If he makes me go to Dominic Thorne’s place, that guy will keep me up all night, dragging me into games and other nonsense. Felix Locke is even more out of the question—he’d definitely lecture me to death! As for Kenneth Yates... I wouldn’t dare disturb him. He’s so volatile, he could snap at any second. I’d probably say one wrong thing and get my ass kicked! Compared to them, it’s much safer here with Ronan.’
"You sleep on the bed!" ’How could I ever kick him out? I hope to see him every day, to be by his side, to watch him smile.’
"Then what about you?" Sean Murphy sat up, placing his phone on the table.
"I’ll sleep on the sofa!"
"No. You’re still injured," Sean Murphy refused.
"Then..." Ronan Jenkins suddenly leaned closer, stopping just a few inches from him. His eyes locked onto Sean’s. "We sleep together?"
A light blush crept onto Sean Murphy’s face. Caught in Ronan’s intense gaze, he momentarily forgot to look away.
"Ah." Sean Murphy averted his eyes from Ronan’s scorching gaze, grabbed the comforter, and quickly lay down on the bed beside him, pulling the fabric completely over his head.
’What is wrong with me? So what if two guys sleep in the same bed? I’ve shared a bed with Dominic Thorne and Felix Locke before. But... why is my heart racing like this?! Why did I instinctively look away from him? Why am I so flustered right now? What am I even getting worked up about?’
