Mary blushed harder, realizing that she couldn’t find another way to convey the situation to Amy. Taking a deep breath, she decided to be straightforward about it.

Amy’s eyes widened in surprise, and she tried to stifle a laugh. "Oh, Mary! That must have been quite a sight! Are you okay?"

Mary nodded, her face turning even redder. "I’m okay, but it was so embarrassing, Amy. I fell asleep and woke when I heard noises coming from the bathroom and I thought Anton was still in his study. So I thought there was a burglar, so I checked it out and now I don’t know how to face him."

Amy couldn’t contain her laughter anymore as she watched Mary cover her face with both hands in utter humiliation. The image of Mary’s embarrassed expression only made her laugh harder, causing her to clutch her stomach. After a few moments, she managed to catch her breath and compose herself.

"Oh, Mary! I’m sorry, but that’s just too funny!" Amy said, still chuckling. "I can’t believe you did that, but you are leaving out details. Tell me more!"

"No, that’s enough. I don’t want you to laugh whenever you will see Anton. But there’s something else that I want to ask you, that’s the reason why I came here," Mary said.

"Of course, Mary. I’m here for you. What’s on your mind?" Amy’s laughter subsided as she noticed the seriousness in Mary’s tone. She immediately shifted her focus and gave her friend her full attention.

Mary took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before speaking. "D-Did it hurt when you did it the first time? I mean did you bleed? How painful was it?"

Amy paused for a moment, pondering Mary’s question. Amy gaped before covering her mouth with both hands her eyes widened in realization when she understood the nature of Mary’s question.

She felt a mix of surprise and understanding, realizing that Mary was referring to when she lost her virginity to Henry. Amy’s face flushed slightly, and she lowered her hands from her mouth.

"I know that, but I just want to know your experience, I think it will make me more ready if at least I have some kind of different expectations," Mary explained.

Amy nodded understandingly, realizing that Mary was seeking a personal perspective to help her feel more prepared.

She took a deep breath and spoke sincerely. "I was prepared when it happened. Or rather, my body was prepared, Henry made sure of that. There was pain, but just for a short moment, maybe just a few seconds, and then it was replaced with pure pleasure. Amy laughed reminiscing what happened which made Mary curious.

"What is so funny?" Amy’s laugh was so contagious that Mary was starting to chuckle too.

"The ha ha! The squirrel took my clothes ha ha ha!" Both friends burst into laughter, the tension easing as they shared the lighthearted moment.

When their laughter subsided, Mary continued with her questions, "Was there bleeding?"

"There was... A lot... But I didn’t know. I only found out after we were done and I stood up. I was looking for my clothes and then saw my blood all over. It was a scary sight but Henry made me feel better," Amy proudly exclaimed.

Seeing the relief on Mary’s face, Amy felt glad that she could provide some comfort and support. However, her curiosity began to grow, and she couldn’t help but wonder what might have made Mary ask such questions.

"Mary, tell me, you are planning to do it with Anton soon, aren’t you?" Amy asked excitedly.

Mary blushed and looked down, feeling a mix of embarrassment and anticipation. She hesitated for a moment before finally nodding her head in affirmation.

"We might. I mean I think I am ready, in case we take that road. But I am scared at the same time," Mary admitted, her voice filled with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

"So, it sounds like you’ve decided not to wait until marriage anymore?" Amy asked.

"With all honesty babe, what happened to you and Henry made me realize one thing; I can’t imagine my life without Anton. We haven’t been together that long but deep in my heart, it feels like I have known him for a long time. I can’t explain it exactly in words, but something inside me is telling me that he is the one." Mary said.

Amy smiled as she continue to listen to her best friend.

"If there’s a man that I want to spend my life with and give my everything, including my virginity it would be Anton," Mary added.

Amy nodded with a genuine smile on her face, "I respect your decision, Mary. Every couple has their own timeline and what works best for them. As long as you both feel comfortable and ready, that’s what matters."

Mary smiled appreciatively at her friend’s understanding. "Thank you, Amy. It means a lot to have your support."

The two friends continued to talk and shifted to work-related topics, as the slightly opened door slowly closed, without them knowing that there was another set of ears listening to their conversation.

A wide smile adorned the face of the uninvited listener, reveling in the success of obtaining the information he was after.
