Child from the Dungeon-Chapter 188: The Monster Witch

In a distant village, in Elysium Haven, a little girl smirks as she digs some unguarded grave.

" I hope this one's good. " said the little girl, for at night, the patrols were not as tight and as spread due to the knights' fear of the monsters' ambush in the village, especially in the graveyard complex due to its nest of unwanted monsters.

But the girl, was different from the start, because of her poverty, she lacks the logic of fear and death, in her mind, what matters is what to eat, nothing more.

" Had no bread, anymore... "

" Hope corpses, makes me, full. " said the girl for she remembers seeing monsters eating a human corpse in the forest, she hides while keeping silent as she witness the monsters devouring a human corpse, interested as she sees the monsters feed on the human with full satisfaction which piqued her interest.

" Maybe I should do what the monsters did... " the girl says as she digs the grave, the grave of someone important at that time (who knows who?), as the grave is filled with beautiful black metal as it also had many monster logos in it.

As she digs, she then finally sees the coffin buried under, she quickly opens it and sees what's inside.

" This is it, meat... " she says and quickly drolls from her mouth, recounting what she remembers from the monsters' behavior she remembered and trying to take a bite from the corpse.

( Present Day. )

" Oh, how long has it been? " Gidhra asks as she eats other corpses her monsters gave her, she is sitting on her Chimera Saurus while her other Chimeras are dealing with Irina.

" I still remember how it first tastes, the meat of the dead from that very grave... "

" My hunger continues, it continues to scratch me despite it also empowers me to feed more and more. "

As she growls, she uses [Rumbling Roar] to bring full destruction onto Gidhra, not wasting any time and not trying to give Gidhra any kind of shit in order to stop her rampage, once and for all.

"( Curse those other Royal House in the past who voted to just imprison her for 'future purposes', now look at their decision now! )" Irina states while she blasts Gidhra rapidly, not giving the witch any chance to do her thing.

"( Mystic Monster Queen Witch, Gidhra. This woman was supposed to be executed right after the Royal Houses managed to take her down as she uses her mysterious kind of magic to summon monsters and wreak havoc upon the Capital, back then. )"

"( But sadly, some stupid and greedy royals begin to take interest in her magic, and vote to just capture her as they extract her knowledge about her mysterious magic that could even summon monsters to their own needs, they even used her for some barbaric rituals years after in order to summon powerful monsters to protect them. )"

"( Summoning Legendary Beasts, summoning new kinds of Gate Portals for them to enter and conquer, draining her powers to the core as the Royals want more profits. )"

"( But thankfully, the Richter House and the Scarlet House end that misuse of her powers and decided to just seal her so deep in order for the Witch to not feast upon the people's magic and for the Royals to no longer use her magic, for good, since the two Houses still can't get the permission to kill her and end the Witch's hunger for flesh and magic. )"

" I won't make the same mistake! " Irina says as she roars and blasts Gidhra.

" I don't care if the other Houses sued me for the loss of you as their asset, I give no damn! "

" For as a Richter, I will never let such monstrosity kill the people of this very country, never! " Irina blasts it and finishes it there.

Irina scoffs after doing it for some time, as she did it, she tried to smell and use her [ Magic Dragon Eye: Vision Ray ] to see where Gidhra is.

" Nice blasts, you got there. " Gidhra appears below Irina, as she uses her magic to transform into Chimera Swarm Bugs and reformed her body back into one again.

" It seems you are the most fierce mage in this era, aren't you? " Gidhra asks as she slurps seeing Irina's Dragonification Stage.

" Why you!? " Irina slams Gidhra using her giant dragon hands, but Gidhra evades by separating her body into bugs that swarm around Irina.

" Bugs!? " Irina asks as she sees the swarm goes larger and surrounds her.

" Oh, feeling afraid my dear dragon? " Gidhra asks the swarm surrounds Irina like a bug tornado which imprisons the dragon woman inside.

As Irina was imprisoned, Irina quickly charges her energy and Mana while waiting for Gidhra's next move, realizing this is the time to prepare and defend, not to attack.

[ Golden Barrier ]

Irina covers herself with a barrier while she charges her energy to sustain herself and her barrier, realizing that if she attacks, she would be vulnerable to Gidhra's swarm if she did it recklessly.

" Oh, look at you, little Dragon, afraid of the tornado of bugs. " Gidhra asks as from inside the bug tornado, she showed her huge face made from bugs.

" So cute! (n_n) " she says it with expression.

" Seeing you fight and blasts me, judging from your magical capabilities, I now believe that you are a Richter. "

" Which reminds me of the Richter House who fought me back then, a woman just like you, holder of the Dragon Curse Magic, kukuku... " Gidhra tells Irina while Irina just went silent and doesn't give a damn about her words.

" Oh, the silent one, are you? "

" That's rare, I thought the Richters are always the emotional ones when it comes to this, guess things change. "

" But still, if you came to kill me 'Richter' girl. "

" Then I apologize if I must end you first. " Gidhra says as she then uses the bugs to attack Irina's barrier which Irina anticipated by finally releasing what she's been preparing ever since Gidhra's storytelling.

" Come at me! "

" [Rumbling Ravaging Roar] "

As she roars, a huge blast can be seen coming from her as it blasts into the skies, destroying the swarm tornado as Irina uses her gathered energy to quickly deal with the annoying pests.

" *scoffs* "

" Die, all of you... " Irina says as she sees the swarms fall to the ground, dying, due to her magical blast.

" Wait a minute... " Irina senses with her nose, realizing she didn't smell any signs of Gidhra.

" Where is Gidhra? " Irina asks as she didn't smell the witch's scent a bit.

" Up here, Richter girl. " Gidhra calls Irina, revealing herself in the skies with her new form, a new monstrous form, with her monstrous bird and insect wings as well as her monstrous body, arms, and legs.

As it happens, while all of those things happened, Draven gets a message from the System and realizes that it is time as he sees Gidhra attempting to attack the unprepared Irina, who already wasted her energy in that one concentrated blast.

*CLANG*

At that very moment, both Irina and Gidhra's eyes widened as they were so surprised to see someone intervene in their battle which surprises them so hard for the person comes with a Black Smoke and blocks Gidhra's attacks with his sword.

" Sorry, Witch... " Draven greets Gidhra as he enters the battle.

" But this woman will not die while I'm here. " Draven tells Gidhra, now ready for battle as he had observed her enough.
