Claimed by My Ex's Half-Brother-Chapter 186 Could it be Damian?
Victoria’s POV
After grandfather left, the mansion fell into complete silence. I didn’t return to my own residence, instead deciding to stay at his estate tonight. The familiar scents of home comforted my wolf, who missed the warm presence of our pack leader.
William arrived safely in the early morning.
We had a brief phone call, and my sister Elena had gone to pick him up. They were now on their way home, which put me somewhat at ease.
After hanging up, I wandered to the floor-to-ceiling windows, gazing out at the meticulously maintained courtyard that marked the boundaries of our territory. Movement near the gates caught my attention—a black sedan that hadn’t been there before.
My wolf immediately went on high alert, senses becoming razor-sharp as I scanned for potential threats. That car definitely wasn’t ours. I’d been home all day, and Grace had left hours ago. The last time I’d looked, there had been no car parked at the entrance.
Could it be...?
Could it be Damian?
Just as I was pondering this, my phone rang. It was security from the gate.
"Miss Lancaster, there’s a man outside who refuses to say anything. He won’t answer our questions and just keeps shouting your name. Should we chase him off or call the police?"
I sighed inwardly, immediately knowing it had to be Damian Sterling.
Based on the security guard’s description, it couldn’t be anyone else.
"Don’t bother. He definitely has a driver in the car, right? Just tell the driver to take him away," I replied.
Damian certainly wouldn’t drive drunk himself.
"He does have a driver, but the driver claims he’s just following orders and can only listen to his boss."
"Then just leave him alone," I said firmly. "If he wants to stand there all night, that’s his problem!"
I hung up, determined to pay no attention to the matter. I’d already made things crystal clear to Damian before. If he wanted to go drinking, that was his business. If he wanted to camp outside my house, that was also his business. None of it had anything to do with me.
I needed sleep!
But I tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep until dawn, when I finally gave up and went downstairs. Looking outside, the parking spot was empty. Damian’s car was gone.
Having barely slept, I dragged my exhausted body to work the next morning, forcing myself to concentrate despite being utterly drained. I stayed at the office until nearly midnight before heading home. When I reached my front door, there he was—the person I hadn’t seen last night.
"Why are you here?" I became instantly alert, tensing up.
"I was waiting for you." Damian’s deep voice sent chills down my spine.
"What’s the purpose of waiting?"
"I need to talk to you." His usually flawless features now showed signs of fatigue, with dark circles under his eyes.
"Then talk." I didn’t unlock my door, letting him say whatever he wanted to say right here.
"Inside." Damian’s gaze remained locked on me, his bloodshot eyes revealing his exhaustion. The faint dark circles only added to his rugged appeal, which annoyed me further.
I caught the scent of alcohol on him and wrinkled my nose. "You’ve been drinking again?"
"Just business." His voice remained steady, indicating he wasn’t as drunk as last night. "My head is perfectly clear right now."
"Whatever you want to say, say it here." Opening my door would be like inviting a predator into my den—a very dangerous idea.
"Fine." Damian nodded.
What happened next caught me completely off guard. He swiftly pushed me against the wall and kissed me fiercely. His kiss was full of longing and aggression.
"Mmm... you... damn it—Damian!" I struggled to squeeze out words between kisses.
I couldn’t believe he was being so bold—kissing me brazenly right at my front door where anyone could see. Last time he did this, I bit his lip hard enough to draw blood. This time, though I knew I shouldn’t, I couldn’t bring myself to bite down.
Damian tried to deepen the kiss, attempting to part my lips, but I kept my teeth clenched. We were locked in a battle of wills, neither giving ground.
Then Damian played a trick, pinching my waist—my most sensitive spot. I gasped: "Ah!"
He seized the opportunity, his tongue invading my mouth possessively. With my back against the wall and nowhere to escape, I could only passively endure his assault. However, Damian showed no signs of stopping; instead, his kiss grew even more fervent.
The taste of whiskey transferred from his lips to mine, making me feel intoxicated despite not having touched a drop of alcohol.
"Damian!" I tried to sound angry, but my body betrayed me.
Hadn’t I made things perfectly clear to him last time? Then why was he doing this?
I tried to push him away, and he briefly released me. I thought he might finally be ready to talk rationally, but instead he scooped me up and threw me over his shoulder.
"Damian! Put me down!" I struggled to break free from his control, my fists uselessly pounding his back.
He carried me to the elevator, but seeing it was on the first floor, he headed straight for the stairs without hesitation. Since I wouldn’t open my door, he was obviously planning to take me to his place.
The moment we entered his apartment, he threw me onto his leather couch.
"Damian, what do you think you’re—mmm..." Before I could finish, his lips captured mine again.
This kiss was even more intense than the one at my door—deeper, more desperate, more domineering. Arthur, the wolf within him, was nearly surfacing; I could feel his primal energy intertwining with Damian’s desire.
What felt like an eternity later, Damian finally pulled back slightly. His narrow eyes, now filled with desire, surveyed me beneath him.
I gasped for air, desperately filling my oxygen-starved lungs. "I need to go home," I said breathlessly.
I had no desire to reason with someone who was clearly not in his right mind. Such a conversation would be fruitless.
Damian’s arm around my waist tightened, preventing my escape. "You didn’t hate it when I kissed you just now, did you?" His voice dropped an octave, sounding much more husky.
I avoided giving a direct answer. "Didn’t I make things clear enough the other day?"
"Crystal clear. You said we’re both adults just playing around. You said it was just mutual satisfaction. So now, I’m playing along. I’ll be your playmate, your bed partner—I don’t care, and I don’t mind!"
Damian’s voice was taut and commanding, carrying a dangerous edge that made Nora restless within me.
"Are you insane?" His words shocked me.
"Yes, I am. I don’t see anything wrong with that." With fluid motion, he tore off his shirt, revealing his perfect physique.
His well-defined muscles weren’t overly bulky but perfectly proportioned—powerful evidence of his Alpha strength. His lean torso tapered down to narrow hips without an ounce of excess flesh. The smoky cedar scent from his skin grew more intense, mingling with his natural Alpha pheromones in an intoxicating combination.
I’d been angry, but seeing Damian’s body scattered my thoughts like leaves in the wind. Was this his strategy? Using seduction to distract me? 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Damian took my hand and guided it to his abdomen. "How about it? Does this body satisfy you?" His voice was full of temptation.
The muscle beneath my fingertips felt firm and resilient. His skin was warm, almost burning, the sensation racing up my arm like electricity. I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself, but my breathing became rapid.
"This... this won’t work on me," I insisted, though my fingers involuntarily traced his abs a few more times. God, he felt incredible.
"No? You don’t like how you’re feeling?" A meaningful smile tugged at his lips.
"Not at all," I lied.
"You don’t like firm muscle? Perhaps you prefer... something more substantial? I don’t disappoint in that area either, do I?" Damian guided my hand lower.
His pants were already tented, clearly displaying his physical response. His gaze conveyed his intentions more clearly than any words could.
"I... you..." My eyes involuntarily fell to that impressive bulge before I quickly shut them. "Victoria, don’t look!"
"How about it? Feeling anything now?" Damian moved closer, his voice low and husky, like a whisper traveling through my entire body.
"No, I don’t feel anything. I can’t feel anything! What could I possibly feel?" My words came out stuttered, my cheeks burning as if under a blazing sun.
"Then why is your face so red?" Damian observed my reaction with satisfaction.
The damned man was right—my body had betrayed me, responding to him despite my best efforts to resist.
"I just blush easily, okay? Not everyone is as thick-skinned as you," I retorted, trying to regain control of the situation.
"But your body is more honest than your words. It’s practically screaming what you want," Damian murmured, his heated breath against my ear. "Victoria, you said it yourself—mutual satisfaction. I won’t demand promises from you, but I can make you feel good. Are you sure you don’t want to try?"
His face was naturally seductive—every detail seemed carefully crafted to entice and tempt me.
Though he spoke in questioning tones, his actions made it clear he had no intention of letting me leave.
