Liu Shao chewed a few more times on what he had in his mouth to be sure that he wasn’t imagining things.

The tiny octopus was tender and didn’t lose its chewiness.

And the sauce brought with it some sweetness but on top of that he tasted something else but he couldn’t pinpoint what it was.

He swallowed the tiny octopus and glanced at the others to confirm that he wasn’t being weird.

But the other guests weren’t interested in the food yet.

They were going up to Lin Xuan Qi and offering him a drink.

He winked at him and downed one of the cups of wine in a mouthful.

"You’ve mistaken... I was just trying to give him courage for later... best to have more children." He said with a sheepish smile at Lin Xuan Qi.

Zhang Jie put down her sleeve, revealing her face with a frown.

"Hmph. Men." She shook her head at Sima Long and pulled him back to their seats.

Lin Xuan Qi lifted his wine cup at her, thanking her for the timely intervention.

"Master Sima Long isn’t wrong, best to have more children when you are young." Hun Xiong Kun came up to him with a cup of wine and said.

He gave a toast to Lin Xuan Qi and Lin Xuan Qi replied, "I will try my best."

After he downed the cup of wine, he took the opportunity and said, "There will be an increase of two hundred kilograms of rice, I shall discuss the other details with you after I’m settled with everything."

Before Liu Shao could finish his sentence, he saw Sima Long took a mouthful of the tiny octopus and had the same astonished face that he had earlier.

"Look." He pointed at Sima Long’s face and glanced at Lin Xuan Qi.

"This... This food is tastier than what I’ve had in the Sima Family mansion." Sima Long also turned and glanced at Lin Xuan Qi with his chopsticks pointing vigorously at the dish he had in front of him.

They picked up more of the braised beef to savor the experience again.

"You got to tell me brother Lin. You are killing me with the suspense." Sima Long said and munched on the braised beef he had in his mouth.

Liu Shao nodded to it.

Seated not too far away, Zhi Yong was nodding his head and smiling to himself.

He knew the answer and he finally had the chance to feel how it was to hook others and not give them the answer immediately, just like how Lin Xuan Qi hooked him with the story about Sun Le.
