"Mortal? Asking for Spirit Herbs?" The Dark Lord pondered for a moment and he recalled the Spirit Herbs that Lu Ting said that she was looking for.

That made it believable to him but it didn’t matter so much to him right now.

There were things that were more interesting for him.

He raised his right hand with the index finger pointed at Lu Ting.

It was time to test Huo Fei Li on his determination with what mattered to him the most.

The Dark Lord had observed him and saw how he tried his best to let Lu Ting escape safely.

Huo Fei Li didn’t waste any time.

He used his palm to push back onto Lu Ting.

The palm strike caused Lu Ting to slide ten meters away from him, leaving a trail on the ground when her feet dragged through it.

"Run!" Huo Fei Li shouted and swung his sword at the Dark Lord.

Blue glow engulfed his sword and a blue slicing wave shot at the Dark Lord.

The surroundings of the Dark Lord froze.

But the Dark Lord was unfazed.

Dark glow engulfed his body and it lashed out onto the ground and air that were frozen.

And when the blue slicing wave hit onto the body of the Dark Lord, it was absorbed by the dark glow.

The Dark Lord turned back his focus onto Huo Fei Li and he saw that Huo Fei Li had reached into his sleeve pocket and hurled something into the air.

It was a jade bottle that gave out a green glow.

The green glow extended out from the jade bottle into the trees and vegetation in the surroundings.

Within an instant, the trees and vegetation seemed to have a life of their own.

Vines sprouted from the ground and the tree branches grew longer reaching for the Dark Lord from above.

They tried to grab onto the limbs of the Dark Lord.

But it was futile, the vines and branches of the trees were obliterated into ashes when they touched onto the dark glow that was surrounding the Dark Lord.

However, it was another distraction from Huo Fei Li.

Huo Fei Li diverted some of his Spirit Qi into the Sword Pill and he aimed it at the Dark Lord.

The Dark Lord raised an eyebrow when he sensed what was coming out from the Sword Pill.

A bright glow emerged from the Sword Pill and after a thunderous explosion, a bright glow in the form of a sword shot out into the distance.

Everything that was in its way was sliced into halves.

Even the river stopped flowing due to a huge ditch that was created by the bright glow in the form of a sword.

Huo Fei Li took a deep breath and glanced in front of him after the bright glow subsided.

And within the next moment, he was face to face with Huo Fei Li.

"Look out!" Lu Ting who was some distance away tried to think of a way to help but couldn’t.

Her servants were urging her to escape.

"Run while we can and seek help to rescue Master Huo."

One of them suggested and the others nodded their heads vigorously for their lives.

But it was met with rejection from Lu Ting.

She had let him tag along due to her wanting the Nine Fold Yin-Yang Star Iron.

It was beyond her to leave him in the lurch and let him die out here.

"What would Ghost Hands Fong do..." Lu Ting mumbled to herself while she tried to think of something to help Huo Fei Li.

She tried her best but she couldn’t.

Her mind became blank with what she saw.

And the next thing she saw was the index finger of the Dark Lord give out a dark glow before it extended and shot towards her.

The dark glow became bigger and bigger before it got near to her face.
