Chapter 375: Chapter 375: An Mo: The Sly Demon

They arrived at a scene of total devastation.

Hu Yan was on his knees, letting out an agonizing scream that sounded like his soul was being ripped out of his chest.

The Fox Tribe was alive, but they were trembling and silent.

Xuan Long’s eyes darted around the clearing. Nothing. There was no trace of Su Qinglan. There was no scent, no blood, and not even a trace of a corpse.

She hadn’t died, because if she had, the explosion would have leveled the entire tribe. But she was gone.

But suddenly Xuan Long’s gaze met his. In that moment, his aura exploded with a cold, suffocating pressure as he saw An Mo hovering there.

Xuan Long didn’t hesitate. If anyone in this world had the capability to make a person disappear in a heartbeat, it was his own brother.

An Mo was very powerful, and tearing a portal would be simple for him. To Xuan Long, it was obvious: An Mo had seen his beautiful mate and stolen her, pretending to have arrived just now.

"You!" Xuan Long roared, lunging into the air with his claws aimed at An Mo’s throat.

An Mo dodged with a lazy, nonchalant tilt of his head. He looked angry, his hair waving in the air. "Brother Long, stop this madness! I told you, I just got here!"

"Liar!" Xuan Long growled, his voice vibrating with pure hatred. "You saw her, didn’t you? You saw how beautiful she was and you took her! Give her back, or I will kill you even if I have to burn my own soul to do it!"

Xuan Long was ready to die. He knew that in a real fight, An Mo was much slyer and more powerful.

An Mo was the kind of person who didn’t care about right or wrong; he was a pure devil at heart, a man who could outwit the elders of the upper domains without breaking a sweat.

If An Mo wanted to hide something, no one could find it.

An Mo’s eyebrow twitched with genuine irritation. "You think I have time to play hide and seek with your female? Look at this place! The space is cracked! I didn’t take her... she was snatched by a spatial rift!"

"Shut up!" Xuan Long attacked again, his movements frantic and fueled by grief. "You are the only one who could have done this! You’ve always been a thief, An Mo! Return my mate and my sons!"

Han Jue and the others watched from below, their faces pale. They wanted to help, but the pressure coming from the two brothers was so intense they could barely move.

"Is he telling the truth?" Shi Feng whispered, his voice trembling. "Did he take her?"

"It doesn’t matter," Han Jue hissed, his eyes fixed on the empty spot in the clearing. "If he has her, we will tear him apart. If he doesn’t, then where is she?"

An Mo laughed, a sharp, mocking sound, as he swatted Xuan Long’s hand away. "You are so blinded by your mate that you’ve lost your brain, Long. If I had stolen her, would I still be standing here talking to a grumpy snake like you? I would be halfway to the upper domain by now!"

Despite his nonchalant words, An Mo was actually quite careful.

He knew Xuan Long was truly desperate. He glanced at the ground, sensing the lingering essence of the teleportation.

He knew exactly what had happened, but looking at his brother’s murderous face, he felt like being a devil for just a little bit longer.

An Mo hovered in the air. He watched Xuan Long’s desperate struggle with a faint, mocking smile, clearly enjoying the way his brother was falling apart.

He dodged another one of Xuan Long’s strikes with effortless grace, then suddenly held up a hand to stop the fight.

"Alright, alright! Stop snapping at me, you grumpy snake," An Mo said, his voice dripping with nonchalance. "I’ll tell you the truth since you’re so pathetic. Your female hasn’t been turned to ash. She actually escaped from here, along with those cubs of yours."

Xuan Long froze in mid air, his chest heaving. "Escaped? What are you talking about?"

An Mo’s eyes gleamed with a sudden, sharp curiosity that made the hair on the back of Xuan Long’s neck stand up.

"It seems she even knows how to open a portal in space. One moment she was here, and the next... poof... she tore a hole in the air and vanished. Truly special, isn’t she? To have that kind of power in such a weak looking body..."

Xuan Long’s expression hardened instantly. He felt a cold shiver of dread. He knew Su Qinglan was special, and he had seen her strange abilities before, but he couldn’t let An Mo know that.

An Mo was like a predator that only chased the rarest prey. If An Mo became truly interested in Su Qinglan, he would never stop until he owned her.

"You’re hallucinating," Xuan Long said, his voice flat and cold.

"My female is just a simple, ordinary female. She doesn’t have the ability to touch space. It must have been the witch doctor’s explosion that accidentally warped the air and swallowed her."

An Mo raised an eyebrow, a mocking smirk playing on his lips.

"Simple? Ordinary? Brother, don’t lie to me. I saw the residual energy. No ordinary female survives a soul bomb by accidentally vanishing."

"And most importantly, how does she even know that the practitioner of black magic was going to self destruct..."

"She is truly something... do you know she disappeared just a moment before the blast, and alongside her cubs..."

"I don’t care what you think you saw," Xuan Long hissed, trying to force his aura to calm down to hide his panic.

"She’s gone, and it’s none of your business. Now, go back to the upper domain, An Mo. There is nothing here for you. This domain is beneath you."

An Mo burst into a loud, bright laugh that echoed through the gloomy valley.

"Go back? Are you kidding me, brother? Just moments ago, you were ready to burn your soul to kill me, and now you’re suddenly pretending to care about my schedule? You’re telling me to leave so politely?"

An Mo clicked his tongue, shaking his head with a look of fake disappointment. "Tsk, tsk. Such a double sided snake. You’re terrified that I’ll find her first, aren’t you?"

Xuan Long gripped his fists, his eyes burning with worry. He didn’t answer, but his silence was enough of a confirmation for An Mo.

"Well," An Mo said, stretching his wings wide until they blocked out the moonlight.

"The more you want me to leave, the more I want to stay. I think I’ll hang around for a bit. I really want to see this simple female of yours for myself."

"And I’ll go see your son too. He must have grown by now. After all, he should at least recognize his second father. What if I never have any offspring in the future? Someone has to take care of me in my old age. Of course, that would be quite unlikely once I find your female... but it never hurts to prepare in advance."

"An Mo... you’re courting death," Xuan Long growled.

"Don’t growl at me," An Mo replied lazily. "What if my tongue slips in front of the elders and I accidentally mention your son? That would be... truly unfortunate."
