What the hell.
Fu Sichen felt that things had arrived at the point where he needed to reinforce his position as the top party.
After all, Fu Sichen couldn’t have his little boyfriend thinking of himself as the top party all the time.
With one hand, Fu Sichen was about to pinch Pei Zhen’s waist to show him in action what a real man was. Only, at the same time, they heard the sound of approaching footsteps.
“Drink… let’s continue drinking.”
“General Manager Tian, I’ll have to trouble you then, for the project in Xin Cheng.
“Hahaha, no worries, no worries.”
The two drunk men walked out, leaning on each other. A couple flashed past before them, but their eyes were blurry from too much alcohol. When they looked again, there was no one around.
Silence.
They had a fright.
When Fu Sichen and Pei Zhen walked out of the hotel holding hands, the street was quiet.
Pei Zhen’s full focus was on his boyfriend, and thoughts of the dinner crowd were far behind him. He walked hand-in-hand with Fu Sichen on the street, casting a sidelong glance at the man every now and then. He couldn’t help breaking into a smile.
Before looking for Pei Zhen, Fu Sichen had put on a light disguise to hide his identity.
He wore dark glasses and a mask over the lower half of his face, and clothes he’d not normally wear. If one didn’t pay attention, it would be quite difficult to tell he was Best Actor Fu.
Unable to resist, Pei Zhen continued to steal glances. Fu Sichen found it both heartwarming and funny.
“What are you looking at?”
After a few more looks from Pei Zhen, Fu Sichen couldn’t take it. He grabbed Pei Zhen’s hand and halted.
“You can’t even see your boyfriend’s handsome face clearly.”
For unknown reasons, even though Fu Sichen was wearing dark glasses, Pei Zhen could feel the warmth of his lingering gaze. Despite the flush spreading over his face, he retorted arrogantly, “Of course I can. And yes, you’re almost as handsome as I am.”
The brat…
Fu Sichen nearly burst out laughing. Without saying another word, he took off his dark glasses and mask. He looked straight at Pei Zhen and took a good measure of the man before him.
“My little boyfriend is dashing indeed, more so than I.”
Pei Zhen glowed at being acknowledged, but before he could gloat about it further, Fu Sichen had placed the dark glasses on him and said, “You’re so dashing that I’m not going to have everyone looking at you.”
As though the dark glasses were not enough, Fu Sichen strapped his mask onto Pei Zhen’s face. Only when he saw that Pei Zhen was properly covered-up was he content.
“Only I can look at you.”
Pei Zhen was both amused and exasperated.
The twist of events was completely unexpected.
Pei Zhen had never liked wearing masks as he felt they made breathing difficult. However, Fu Sichen’s mask was different—it held the unique yet familiar scent of the man. As though it was a subconscious reaction, Pei Zhen secretly took in a deep and long breath.
“Where are we going next?” A gust of wind tousled Pei Zhen’s soft hair. Fu Sichen couldn’t stop himself from reaching out for a touch—it was silky. “Did you eat?”
“Yes, I did.” Pei Zhen nodded, but then thought for a bit and shook his head. “I only ate a little.”
“So, you’re learning to care for me?” Fu Sichen knew that Pei Zhen was trying to lose weight for his next film and was strict with his diet; he only said he ate a little so that Fu Sichen could have dinner too. Fu Sichen took a step forward, closing the distance between them. “The Little Brat has grown up?”
Little Brat Pei proudly lifted his chin and replied, “I’ve grown bigger than you could imagine. Yes, I can even provide for you without a problem.”
Fu Sichen lifted an eyebrow. “Oh? And how exactly will you provide for me?”
“Haven’t you offended half the entertainment circle?” Pei Zhen was marveling at his own ability to plan ahead. “Don’t you worry, I can bring home the dough.”
On hearing that, Fu Sichen immediately felt that something was amiss. Along with that was the recollection that Pei Zhen had even thought of himself as the top party. Fu Sichen laughed icily. “Oh, if you bring home the dough, then what about me?”
“You can be in charge of warming the bed.”
