Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever-Chapter 87: Meeting Tina Huxley Again, With Hostile Intentions
After speaking, Summer Lowell noticed Noah’s expression was a bit strange, so she couldn’t help asking, "What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?"
Noah withdrew his gaze and quietly reminded Summer, "I just think since someone is always targeting you, you should be more cautious lately."
Seeing his occasional glances behind her, Summer couldn’t resist her curiosity and turned around to look.
"Just now, was there someone nearby?"
Noah shook his head, "There was a young girl in a dress just now, seemed like she was watching you, but I’m not sure who she is."
Summer slightly frowned, "Don’t worry, I’ll pay attention to the people around me."
While they were chatting, a man in a suit suddenly walked over. Judging by his looks, he seemed to be a mixed-race individual.
"Hi, Noah."
The man directly stretched out his hand to pat Noah on the shoulder, "Long time no see!"
Noah was also pleasantly surprised to see him, "Elias? What are you doing here?"
The man referred to as Elias chuckled and pointed towards the center of the distant garden, "Of course, I was invited by the invitation to join the event!"
Noah seemed a bit excited, he wrapped an arm around Elias’s shoulders, patting his back and repeatedly expressing his feelings, "I didn’t expect to meet you here, it’s been two years since we last saw each other, right?"
Elias nodded nostalgically, "You’re not wrong, the last time we met was in the winter two years ago, when we both happened to be in Swyzeria skiing and accidentally ran into each other."
While reminiscing, Elias turned to look at Summer standing quietly beside them and then teasingly teased Noah, "Found a new girlfriend? She’s pretty! Prettier than your previous ones!"
Noah awkwardly hit his shoulder, "Don’t talk nonsense, this is my employee, my most capable subordinate at the moment."
Hearing this reply, Elias patted his lips with embarrassment and quickly apologized to Summer, "I’m sorry, my mistake."
Summer shook her head lightly with a smile, "It’s fine, but your Chinese is fluent, do you live in the country long-term?"
Hearing his compliment, Elias proudly raised an eyebrow and then pointed at Noah beside him, "He taught me Chinese, the so-called great teacher produces outstanding students."
Noah pulled Elias’s hand off his shoulder, "Don’t over praise me. By the way, do you know Ms. Venus?"
"Yes, I do! She collaborated with a friend of mine, and since we were traveling to Stellarion, we coincidentally ran into her at a restaurant yesterday, and she invited us to her villa party."
Hearing this, Noah looked even more kindly at Elias, softly punching his shoulder, "Speaking of which, we haven’t had a drink together in a long time. Want to go over and have a couple of drinks?"
"Sure!" Elias readily agreed, "I was just about to introduce you to my friend."
Noah nodded, then turned and reminded Summer behind him, "Summer, I’ll go chat with my friend for a bit, you... you can wander around, but don’t drink too much and make sure to take care of yourself."
"Isn’t Miss Lowell going with you?" Elias couldn’t help but ask Noah.
Noah, uncertain, asked Summer, "Why don’t you come with us?"
After saying this, Noah added, "Elias loves drinking, and his friends can drink even more than him."
Upon hearing this, Summer immediately shook her head, "I’ll pass. I saw a few friends when I came over, and I’m planning to catch up with them later!"
"Alright, just mind your measure, and if anything happens, remember to call me right away."
After saying that, Noah left with Elias, and the two walked side by side towards the group of people on the distant lawn holding up their glasses and cheering.
Summer didn’t stay much longer.
This was a rare opportunity; she had to take it to connect with people who could help her career.
After more than half an hour, with a smile that made her cheeks ache, Summer slipped into a restroom.
Not good at socializing, she planned to rest here for a while before continuing.
Summer slowly flipped through the makeup bag in her hand, getting ready to touch up her makeup.
As soon as she found a lipstick in a satisfactory color, someone else walked into the restroom.
Hearing the sound, Summer instinctively looked up at the mirror, and once she saw who it was, she couldn’t help but complain inwardly.
Sighing at her luck, she naturally put on a polite smile, "Miss Huxley! What a coincidence, you’re here for Ms. Venus’s party too!"
Tina Huxley placed her purse on the counter, greeting Summer with a bright smile, "I didn’t expect to see Director Lowell here, it really is a coincidence!"
Summer’s smile remained unchanged, "I’m just tagging along with the company. Our boss brought me, said it’s a business engagement."
Tina chuckled, "You shouldn’t let Ms. Venus hear you say that; she’s not fond of hearing her events just labeled as engagements."
"My apologies, my apologies, that was a slip," Summer pretended to hit her mouth gently, "I misspoke, please don’t take it to heart, Miss Huxley."
"Don’t worry," Tina replied playfully, "I didn’t hear anything just now."
Seeing her surprisingly amiable, doubts rose in Summer’s heart.
She couldn’t be blamed for being suspicious, after enduring numerous setbacks, both explicit and implicit, from Tina in the past, all of which were grievances without ground.
Learnt from past experiences, she truly feared Tina.
Summer swiftly completed her makeup and smiled at Tina, who was just starting, "Then I’ll head out?"
"Oh, okay," Tina agreed amidst her tasks, "if you don’t know many people, wait for me outside for a while. I’ll introduce you to Ms. Venus, we’re quite familiar, so I can introduce you."
Not wanting to spend more time with Tina, Summer looked at her with feigned embarrassment, "I came here with our boss today; he seemed to be looking for me earlier, so I should go find him."
"Handle your business, but if you want to meet Ms. Venus, let me know. Considering how long we’ve known each other, a small favor like that I can still help with. After all, many people here want to meet Ms. Venus, but she doesn’t just engage with anyone."
"Thank you, Miss Huxley, in advance."
Summer, not daring to accept her assistance, sincerely thanked her and then left the restroom.
After she left, Tina halted her actions, picked up the phone beside her, and sent a message.
