Cultivation Daddy-Chapter 107: Fu Seng
When Yuhan arrived in the kitchen, he saw his father busying around, but there was no sign of Yujian.
"Dad, have you seen Jian?" Yuhan asked him while walking forward.
Li Zhen looked up and shook his head: "I haven’t, Did you search upstairs and below?"
"Not yet. But I think he might be down here," Yuhan said with a slight hint of worry.
"Really?" Li Zhen raised his eyebrows: "Keep searching honey, Xiao Jian is a person, he shouldn’t be hard to find."
"Okay..." Yuhan nodded
Li Jain resumes his work and suddenly pauses, he’d actually forgotten about last night’s event. He quickly called Li Yuhan back.
"Dad, you called me." Li Yuhan asked, slightly confused.
"Yes, I forgot to tell you. Your brother is still asleep." Li Jain said as he pointed towards the stairs.
Yuhan furrowed his brows together:" Dad, are you sure? I searched everywhere in the room and he’s nowhere to be found."
"That’s because he’s sleeping in my room." Li Jain said as a matter of fact.
Yuhan’s expression changed completely: "That lying scum! He promised to do my homework. I can’t believe he forgot and is still asleep!"
Yuhan was furious, he was depending on Yujian to do his homework. However, this stupid boy had instead spent his time enjoying his morning’s sleep.
If Yuhan was frustrated about his homework, he would have noticed that something was wrong, Yujian doesn’t sleep in.
"What homework are you talking about? Is it the one that’s due today?" Li Jain asked with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.
"Yeah..." Li Yuhan hesitated, thinking, but eventually decided to admit: "Yujian promised to help me out with it, but I forgot to give him the copy, so he said he’ll help me in the morning."
Yuhan explains with a guilty conscience. He was trying to put the blame on Yujian, but Li Jain just stared at him silently without saying a word. His gaze seemed like it was judging him. It was almost as if he was looking right through him.
"Oh..." Li Jain said slowly after a while: "Is it?"
Yuhan felt goosebumps all over his skin, he didn’t dare to look directly into his father’s eyes. But before he could speak, his eyes lit up and he remembered something.
"Oh yeah! Zhang also got help! His homework was done by..."
Before he could even finish his sentence, Li Zhang already jumped into action and pulled Yuhan out of the kitchen. He then proceeded to push the door shut.
Li Jain remained rooted to the spot, staring blankly at the closed door. He took some time to realize what just happened. When he finally came to his senses , a trace of a warm smile formed on his face.
His buns are really amusing. Of course he knew that Li Zhang tricked Li Cheng into doing his homework. But seriously; he has to be stricter when it comes to their school work. Otherwise, the results will definitely be disappointing.
After the door was closed, Li Zhang patted his chest and breathed heavily. Luckily, he came just in time. Otherwise this guy would’ve gotten him into trouble!
"Why are you glaring at me like that?" Yuhan said expressionlessly as if he wasn’t aware of the situation.
"You, what were you just going to tell Dad?" Li Zhang said with a smug look on his face.
"I was about to tell him that Cheng did your homework. What? Am I wrong?" Yuhan shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.
"We are supposed to stick together. How can you go, telling on me?" Li Zhang said incredulously, clearly confused.
"That’s the whole point, because we’re sticking together, you are supposed to help me and not let me bear the punishment of letting others do my homework alone. Isn’t that simple logic?" Yuhan said with a frown.
Li Zhang opened and shut his mouth twice trying to think of the best words to say. Finally: "What are you going to do now? Without this homework, you’re sure to be punished at school. And I am supposed to cover for you?"
"That won’t work. We could both fail if the instructor finds out, and father is going to be very angry with us." Yuhan said firmly.
"Han, did most of your homework questions, only four questions remaining. I’m not feeling too well, sorry I can’t help you finish it." Li Yujian’s voice sounded in Yuhan’s mind through sound transmission.
Li Yuhan’s eyes widened upon hearing this. Yujian never fails to surprise him in any way possible: "It’s ok, thanks. I’ll do the rest myself. Where is the book?"
"On the dining table."
"I knew you were a man of your words. Thanks again." Yuhan said excitedly as he quickly walked toward the dining table.
He saw the book in question which was written with beautiful calligraphy. After flipping through it, he saw that 46 questions were done with only four remaining.
Yuhan sighed, if only Yujian wasn’t sick, then he could just finish what he started. Li Jain didn’t even bother with him and cut off the transmission.
"So, eldest brother did your homework after all? You were just making noise for no reason." Li Zhang spoke from behind.
"Ah...yeah," Yuhan mumbled: "Only four left, I need to hurry to do it before we leave."
"Kids, hurry down for breakfast." Li Jain called out from the kitchen.
"Wait what? I haven’t put on my uniform yet."
"Let’s go, hurry up!"
The two of them hurried up the stairs as fast as they could and entered their prospective rooms.

During breakfast, it was strange that Yujian didn’t show up. The children asked about him and Li Jain said he wasn’t feeling well.
Once breakfast was over, they all went to the carriage but were stunned when they saw an unfamiliar face.
"Welcome, little masters. My name is Fu Seng, your driver from now on." Fu Seng smiled at them and bowed.
"We don’t need a driver, Dad can drive us to school." Jingxuan said with a pout.
The carriage in front of them was also grand with carved carvings and decorations. It was quite fancy but Yuhan thought that it would be pretty useless compared to their Sky-Steed Carriage.
Besides, this carriage doesn’t have anything pulling it. It was like an empty cart.
"Daddy, I don’t want to ride this carriage." Juanxin pulled Li Jain’s sleeves and said with a serious face.
The brothers were suddenly delighted. They have never turned down Juanxin requests, so they were sure that he’ll take out the Sky-Steed Carriage and drive them off.
They couldn’t stop themselves from cheering secretly.
Li Jain tried to hide his laughter: "Sorry Sweetie, I have already employed Fu Seng as your driver. Do you want him to take Daddy’s money for nothing, right?"
"No!" Ji Yanran immediately shook his head.
"Good boy," Li Jain pats Juanxin’s hair lovingly: "Fu Seng is an interesting human who is a bit different from us. Have you noticed that that flying carriage has nothing pulling it?"
Everyone nodded. It was true. This is one of the reasons why they refused to ride in the carriage.
Juanxin thought for a while and asked: "Is it missing a horse because Fu Seng took it away?"
Li Jain was surprised and then laughed: "No, Fu Seng is a sub human. Sub humans are humans like us but they have a second form and can transform into beasts."
"Huh?..."
"What?..."
The buns were all puzzled and confused. They had heard everything that Li Jain had said but somehow none of them understood what he meant exactly. Their confused little faces instantly melted Li Jain’s heart.
Li Cheng thought for a moment and his eyes lit up: "I read about this before. When a spirit beast cultivates to a certain stage, it would awaken its intelligence and therefore be able to understand human language. Then afterwards, they’ll eventually be able to take on human form. That’s what Fu Seng is, right?"
Li Jain looked back at his son and nodded.
"As expected of Xiao Cheng, so smart." Li Jain laughed: "So Fu Seng will be the one driving the carriage. Make sure to be nice to him."
They nodded, and right away, Fu Seng transformed into a Skyfang Manticore. A Lion-like beast with wings and a spiked tail.
Yuhan stared in shock: "Wow! Is this a real beast?"
"Wow.... I never imagined that a creature so huge exists."
"Yeah...this is a monster."
Their expressions kept changing , completely shocked.
Fu Seng attached himself to the carriage and right the empty cart transformed into a flying carriage. Although they didn’t want to say it out loud, it looked more majestic than their own carriage.
"Do you want to ride it now?" Li Jain asked with a smile.
"Yes please!" The kids all replied in unison.
Li Jain nodded and Fu Seng lifted the reins.
"Remember to direct Fu Seng along the way, he’s not familiar with Fengwu City.
"Yes, father."
As they were boarding the carriage, Li Jain pulled Yuhan, Zhang, and Jingxuan back.
"You guys are not going with them." His words were like a bucket of ice water falling upon them.
"Why not?"
"Aren’t you guys always complaining about waiting in the carriage an extra hour? Now you get to stay home and I’ll drop you off later." Li Jain replied.
"Really, yeah." They agreed eagerly.
Running into the house and throwing their bags on the chairs.
"Xiao Han, don’t forget to finish your homework." Li Jain shouted from behind.
"Oh.. I almost forgot." Yuhan said dejectedly.
