Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 391: Differential Treatment
The kindergarten gate is already open.
People outside are rushing, all scrambling to pick up their children at the kindergarten gate.
Amelia Miles looked at her husband with a childlike, coquettish expression, and her heart melted completely.
She couldn’t help but laugh, then reached out to hook around his neck, leaned slightly and kissed the corner of his lips.
"Okay, I was wrong. I won’t forget again, and I’ll take you wherever I go, okay?"
The woman smiled radiantly, surrounded by a fragrance unique to her.
Damon Hawke’s Adam’s apple moved slightly, and as she was about to let go of him, he suddenly tightened his grip on her waist and pulled her close.
"Since you were wrong, you deserve a punishment."
Suddenly, warmth spread over her lips as his breath completely enveloped her.
Amelia Miles widened her eyes, feeling his gentle affection, and a hint of tenderness flashed across her brows and eyes.
Hmm, she accepts this punishment!
At the kindergarten gate, two little ones looked left and right but didn’t see anyone from the Hawthorne Family coming to pick them up.
"Huh, brother, why didn’t Great-grandpa and the others come to pick us up today?"
Bea blinked her big eyes, looking strange.
Dominic Hawke didn’t speak, just looked around with his big eyes.
Soon, he spotted a luxury car parked by the roadside; it was his dad’s car.
His eyes lit up, and he pulled Bea over to the car.
"That’s Dad’s car. Could he be sleeping inside the car?"
The two little ones walked to the car with short little legs, and Bea knocked on the window while curiously peeking inside.
"Dad, are you in there?"
The car had opaque glass, making it difficult to see inside, but they could vaguely make out the silhouette of people inside.
Why did they feel that it wasn’t just Dad inside the car?
It seemed like there was a woman too.
And, they were kissing!
Could it be that Dad is fooling around outside while Mommy’s not here?
Inside the car, Amelia Miles was being kissed dizzy by Damon Hawke.
Hearing the commotion, she suddenly came back to her senses and quickly pushed Damon Hawke away.
"Oops, our son is already out! It’s all your fault."
Amelia Miles’s face turned hot from embarrassment, and she glared at Damon Hawke while hurriedly tidying her rumpled clothes.
Damon Hawke’s eyes were deeply hued, with remnants of desire in them.
He glanced at the two little ones standing outside the car window and pressed the unlock button to open the window.
"You two really know how to pick the time."
What a mood breaker.
"Dad, what were you doing?"
Bea stood on tiptoe, craning her neck to look over at the passenger seat.
"Dad, if you dare do anything bad behind Mommy’s back, my brother and I won’t forgive you."
Dominic Hawke stated seriously, without a change in expression.
Damon Hawke raised an eyebrow, somewhat amused at his son’s words.
"You think I’m sneaking around?"
"What do you mean by sneaking around? Damon Hawke, watch your language in front of the kids."
Amelia Miles heard Damon Hawke’s retort and had already opened the passenger seat door, laughing as she walked over to the two little ones.
"Mommy, you’re back!"
Bea’s eyes sparkled as she joyfully ran towards Amelia Miles.
Dominic Hawke’s eyes also lit up, quickly stepping over to Amelia Miles.
"So it was Mommy."
Amelia Miles smiled and patted them gently, her eyes bending with joy.
"Yes, it’s me. I’m back."
Finally, they could reunite as a family.
So happy!
"Get in the car."
Damon Hawke got out of the car as well and said to the three of them.
Amelia Miles held the hands of the two little ones and lifted them into the car.
"Wow, what a good-looking family."
"Yes, yes, they’re really pleasing to the eye."
"Look at us, we can only envy."
"..."
Surrounding chatter emerged, and Amelia Miles couldn’t help but lift her chin slightly, filled with pride.
From now on, they would never have to be apart as a family again.
They wanted to be a family envied by everyone!
"Mommy, did you get the miracle doctor? Is Dad’s illness cured? Can you come home with us now?"
As soon as Bea got into the car, she fired off a series of questions.
Amelia Miles buckled the seatbelt and smiled, "Yes, the miracle doctor has been invited, and Dad’s illness is cured. But, I still won’t be going back with you yet."
"Huh? Why not?"
Bea was very happy to hear the first part but grew anxious upon hearing the latter part.
Dominic Hawke also furrowed his little brows, looking at Amelia Miles in confusion.
Amelia Miles chuckled softly, "Because I’m taking you to your grandpa’s house."
"Oh, I see! Mommy, you’re intentionally scaring us." Bea pouted.
"Hmm, Mommy, you’ve turned bad."
Dominic Hawke nodded in agreement.
Amelia Miles laughed, ready to speak, when the man in the driver’s seat chimed in, "Yes, your mommy is getting more and more immature."
Was he indirectly saying she was childish?
"Damon Hawke, are you complaining about me?"
"Elly, where did you hear anything like me complaining? I’m full of pampering words."
"Haha, you’re indirectly calling me childish and still talk about pampering?"
"What’s wrong with being childish? I just love pampering you like a three-year-old princess."
"..."
The sunset dyed the sky, casting a soft, warm glow.
Laughter and cheerful voices filled the car along the way.
The Miles family.
Benjamin Harper was already back, chatting with Hunter Miles.
"Elly should be bringing my two little grandsons home soon, right?"
Hunter Miles glanced at the time and said with a smile.
"Should be soon."
Benjamin Harper curled his lips and replied.
Shortly afterwards, the doorbell rang.
"It must be them."
Hunter Miles was filled with excitement, immediately standing up and instructing the servant to open the door.
The servant responded, walking over to open the door.
Indeed, it was Amelia Miles and her family of four outside the door.
"Dad, Evan, I’m back."
Amelia Miles walked in, smiling and greeting the two people who came out to welcome her.
"Grandpa, Uncle Evan, good afternoon."
The two little ones politely greeted the two of them.
"Oh, so well-behaved, come in quickly."
Hunter Miles looked at the two little ones with excitement and gestured for them to come in.
"Dad."
Damon Hawke was carrying gifts, and followed Amelia Miles in, greeting Hunter Miles as Dad.
Hunter Miles’s smile slightly lessened, raising his chin as he glanced at him, then looked away.
Then his gaze fell on the two little ones, laughing with wrinkles appearing on his face.
"Oh my, you look so good, let Grandpa have a proper look."
Damon Hawke: "..."
The preferential treatment was too obvious.
"Mr. Hawke."
Benjamin Harper saw Damon Hawke left in the lurch and smiled while greeting him.
He understood Hunter Miles had the typical father mentality.
Anyone who took his daughter away would certainly be looked upon with disapproval.
Moreover, Damon Hawke had previously stirred up some issues with Amelia Miles, making Hunter Miles more likely to view Damon Hawke unfavorably.
"Not busy today?"
Damon Hawke nodded slightly at Benjamin Harper and asked softly.
"Knowing you were coming back, any business would have to be postponed."
Benjamin Harper took the items from Damon Hawke’s hands and handed them to the servant.
Damon Hawke glanced at him, seeing his usual demeanor, and lightly pressed his lips together.
Did he still have feelings for Amelia Miles?
