Damned Healer-Chapter 755: The Biggest Challenge
The lightning of life lit up the entire planet with its five colors. But they didn’t fall... they kept pulsing and shining until their shapes began to change. Within seconds, a terrifying, apocalyptic pressure descended on the people below.
Outside the planet, everyone who could sense what was happening inside it showed immense shock on their faces.
"This..." that Fey murmured in disbelief. "Those are Soldiers of the Laws of the World!"
When she said that, only the people from her sect reacted. Everyone else looked confused, as they had never heard that name before.
After a few seconds, the oldest Palace Master of the Golden Crow Sect finally reacted. He was considered the weakest among the Palace Masters, but he was definitely the wisest and most knowledgeable in the entire sect.
He turned to that Fey, his eyes trembling. "Soldiers of the Laws of the World... are those the ones that... only the Dire Feys fight?"
"Yes." The Fey nodded, surprised that he knew.
Inside the Yinblood Sect, the highest elite was composed of a unique race in the entire world. They were called Dire Feys, and Darian knew them very well. After all, that race had been created by his father, even before he became the will of the heavens.
Back then, he physically altered them and even changed the laws of the world in order to create that race. The first one to exist was his niece, who was a half-Fey still in the womb. He spared no effort and gave that race every possible talent and capability. Because of that, he gave life to a race even more monstrous than dragons.
The fury of the heavens was fair, and even the power of a Celestial Annihilation was proportional to the target’s capabilities. The laws of the world couldn’t send something overwhelmingly stronger, but they could create enemies and challenges that were almost impossible, without necessarily adding more raw power.
These were the Soldiers of the Laws of the World—the most terrifying challenge a cultivator could face. They held all the power of the lightning of life, capable of using techniques of the five elements, and they also possessed the intelligence to adapt to their enemy and fight in perfect coordination as a group against their target.
Back on the planet, everyone looked up at the sky, somewhat confused.
Those lightning bolts of life had changed, taking on a bestial shape similar to Ancient Spirits. But the sense of danger they radiated was a thousand times greater.
*RUMBLE!*
The heavens seemed to collapse when they moved. Countless Soldiers of the Laws of the World looked like lightning dragons shining in five colors. Each one was thousands of meters long, and in their eyes there was intelligence and reasoning, as if they were truly living beings.
**BUZZ**
Suddenly, everyone felt a light cover their vision, blinding them.
The entire planet began to tremble, and an oppressive feeling made their minds waver. Every cultivator there felt like an ant about to witness the birth of a gigantic Divinity.
Everyone’s eyes were drawn upward, into the middle of the light...
They saw him. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
A human figure with a calm and indifferent appearance floated in the sky, his robes and hair swaying, while a multicolored aura spun around him as if he were a divine sun.
Darian had finally activated his entire primordial physique. Unlike his past life, now his Celestial bloodline resonated with his body and his semi-immortal soul, increasing his influence over all of reality. With a single thought, he felt he could twist and shatter everything before him.
On top of all that, the Heavenly Elemental Body made his body even tougher and more powerful. It could be said that Darian was already several times stronger than before. He could face a Spiritual Sovereign—or dozens of them at once—and would likely win.
But in this universe, even Gildor, who wasn’t at the absolute peak of cultivation, had the potential to easily kill a Spiritual Sovereign. So Darian couldn’t afford to be arrogant; he needed to raise his cultivation first, calmly.
Darian’s eyes shone with a radiant celestial blue. Everyone on the ground froze, unable to fully comprehend what they were seeing.
With a snort, Darian faced the sea of enemies.
His dagger moved.
**BOOOOM!**
A thunderous explosion rang out, and the horizon of the planet shook like a storm of multicolored lights.
Darian moved swiftly, distorting space-time. With every strike of his dagger, the lightning enemies exploded.
Outside the planet, that Fey was clearly stunned.
As for the people of the Golden Crow Sect, their hearts pounded like drums. If they had been on that planet fighting, possibly only Gildor would have been able to defend himself and survive—but even he wouldn’t have looked that terrifying and powerful.
Everyone in the sect, without exception, remembered the event at the Golden Celestial Lake and felt a cold sweat. If Gildor hadn’t acted wisely and appeased Darian... he really... would have caused irreparable destruction to the sect.
On the planet, hundreds of enemies were torn apart, turning into runes.
Balls of fire exploded like stars.
Spears of lightning pierced through space, creating terrible fissures wherever they passed.
Blades of wind spun in every direction, while runes of ice and mist covered the entire region, forming a terrifying trap.
The Soldiers of the Laws of the World were not simple creatures. All of them were connected and acted in perfect synchronization, something not even the best army of cultivators could replicate. On top of that, they used a variety of techniques from the five elements.
Meanwhile, Darian was alone in the skies, and all the endless enemies focused only on him. Even so... he was like a god of war, attacking nonstop and moving like a ghost, disappearing and appearing among them through their blind spots.
Each of his blows made several of them explode violently.
All the cultivators on the ground stayed where they were, not even daring to try interfering; that level of battle was far beyond them. The people from the sect were only hoping something would go wrong and that Darian would die, but...
Only after a few minutes did the High Priest notice something strange.
All the power runes that appeared after the enemies were destroyed were simply floating toward a single region and slowly piling up. What the hell was that?
...
Half an hour passed very quickly amid the explosions of energy. Until...
*Blinding Break!*
Darian roared and used all the firepower of his Heavenly Elemental Body. He could now burn everything to unleash an attack like that.
He didn’t aim the attack at a single point. Instead, he slashed in a circle, creating a gigantic blade and covering every direction. That reduced its raw power, but it was a wide move, destroying hundreds of enemies at once.
After the chaos, suddenly everything became empty.
Then Darian stopped and waved his hand.
*Buzz*
A buzzing sound and a blinding light lit up in a single point. All the runes from the endless defeated enemies... would now be used all at once.
"Destroy!"
Darian pointed with his finger, and that mass of runes, thousands of meters wide, moved toward the ground.
"NO!" the High Priest roared as he realized what was happening.
**KBOOOOOM!**
The entire planet trembled. It was like the explosion of hundreds of atomic bombs at once.
All the cultivators near the epicenter felt as if a hammer had struck them... and not in a metaphorical way.
The shockwave slammed into them violently, sending them flying and shattering their bones. Many who were there were already injured and had come to recover, so they didn’t have many defenses. Fortunately, those who knew they couldn’t withstand anything had already retreated very far away and weren’t affected as much.
The closest ones were the people from the sect. Those... who were already only 20% of the original number were now reduced to less than 5%. Thousands turned into nothing but a bloody mist.
Seconds later...
"!"
Outside the planet, that Fey, along with everyone else who could only sense the events in shock...
...noticed something new revealing itself.
At the center of everything. It was as if a door had been opened. From inside that door... a subtle, evil, and bloodthirsty aura slipped out.
All cultivators knew that aura very well. It was unmistakable. Only cultivators of the Evil Path, after killing and refining a massive number of lives, could possess something like that.
"Impossible... how..." that Fey stammered in disbelief, then turned to Gildor seriously.
He let all the air escape from his lungs. He had never felt such relief in his entire life. After a few brief seconds, he looked into that Fey’s eyes and nodded.
"Yes, my direct disciple." Gildor’s tone rose greatly as he said this, filled with pride. "He discovered that this sect was actually where those bastards were hiding. But it was impossible to make anyone believe it and properly investigate, since they had many connections and ways to hide themselves. So... the only option was to do everything this way... a bit savage."
Everyone there swallowed nervously. By focusing their senses on the planet, they could clearly feel an entrance to a small spatial world. And inside, they could sense hundreds of thousands of powerful auras. They were all cultivators of the Evil Path, and many were in the final realm of cultivation.
That Fey took a deep breath. Then she roared in a furious tone:
"Everyone! Summon all the forces of your sects immediately! After the Celestial Annihilation ends, no matter the result, no one inside can escape!"
Back on the planet.
All of space-time began to stabilize.
Then, a thunderous crash came from the black clouds, and along with a wave of energy, it blasted away all the dust.
With the explosion, besides opening the concealment inscription, Darian also wiped out all the remaining Soldiers of the Laws of the World in a single strike. But it still wasn’t over...
The High Priest, covered in blood, floated in the sky in despair. Then he saw a colossal crater where the center of the sect used to be.
From that grand and beautiful city... nothing remained, and at the bottom... a spatial distortion leading to the secret world could now be seen and felt. Everything had been opened and exposed.
At that moment, a majestic pressure descended from the heavens. The entire planet fell silent.
The people still alive looked up in shock. In the middle of the sky, it was as if a gigantic portal had appeared, and a huge white claw was slowly coming out of it. The portal couldn’t withstand its power and was shattering apart.
"What is that?!"
Outside the planet, everyone could feel it in shock. Not only had Darian’s Celestial Annihilation not ended, but it even seemed that an even more terrifying entity was about to appear.
"But... the Soldiers of the Laws of the World were the ultimate challenge of the world’s laws! What the hell is that?!" That Fey had already thrown away all her composure, clearly stunned by everything happening.
*BUZZ!*
A gigantic head appeared in the sky. Then a long, massive body emerged. It was covered in green scales and radiated limitless pressure. It was a dragon... no, it was a Primordial Dragon.
The figure appeared and looked at Darian without showing the slightest emotion. Darian looked into its eyes...
They were like two amber suns, unbelievably beautiful and bright.
"Niara..." the word slipped from his lips, like a murmur full of emotion.
The pressure emanating from that Primordial dragon made every cultivator, inside and outside the planet, shrink back in fear. Their faces were pale with terror.
That was a copy of the will and power of a Primordial Dragon. This Primordial Beast was the emperor of all races, created to rule across all universes without any competition.
Darian took a deep breath, feeling death pressing heavily on him.
He remembered a passage in that book which told the story of his father. Once, after facing Celestial Annihilations several times and winning, the laws of the world—desperate to kill him but never succeeding—made a similar move.
Copies of the Primordial Beasts, the most powerful figures he had ever fought, appeared to kill him. But according to the rules of the world’s laws, they could only be figures that had karmic connections to him, and their level of raw power couldn’t surpass the target’s.
Even so, the memories and intelligence of those figures were replicated. They were beings that had lived countless eras and had total control and mastery over any power. Even with only the same level as the target available to them, nothing could defeat them easily.
Now... Darian had been rewarded with the exact same thing.
He had overcome the greatest challenge of the Laws of the World with ease, so he received this terrible bonus.
*BUZZ*
Suddenly, right behind the Divine Dragon...
Two figures also appeared.
Darian felt his heart stop for a moment.
Besides the Divine Dragon, there also appeared the Ice Phoenix and the Fire Phoenix.
There were, in fact, three Primordial Beasts.
No...
In the distance, a fourth figure appeared last.
It was a quadruped monster, covered in earth and with three horns. Darian recognized it immediately—it was the Behemoth!
These four Primordial Beasts had a karmic connection to him in some life. Back when he was Denil, he had been tormented and had interacted with the Behemoth bloodline in his body. Later, as Darian, he established the connection with the other three.
"Fuck..."
Darian swallowed hard. In a normal fight, he would defeat them easily, but now, all of them radiated a powerful aura at the same level as him. In fact, the power of the four of them was even greater than when they were alive.
