Dawn of light - Reincarnated as a villain-Chapter 29: Tywnpier
Chapter 29 - Tywnpier
In the tiny, somewhat battered town pieces of old destruction remained. A few houses were newly built, a testament to healing, while others were broken, stubbornly holding on to their broken condition.
Inside a dimly lit tavern nestled in the heart of the town, three people sat at a modest wooden table.
An old man, visibly drunk with a cup of ale in hand, spoke in a slightly slurred voice. "Five months ago, a terrible horde of tier-5 monsters raided our village. Tywnpier ain't fortified very well, so we were on thin ice. Took them a day, but they finally arrived to save us from the next. After a day, help finally came from the next town. Took 'em long enough, but at least now we can stay here.
Seated across from him was a boy with striking white hair and piercing blue eyes. He listened carefully, his face expressionless as he considered the words of the old man. "Is that so? Then I suppose the beasts were all eliminated by the additional force?"

The old man laughed, shaking his head and taking another swig of ale. "Nooope! Some of the beasts ran back into the forest. Sure, the town that came to assist is more powerful than ours, but not powerful enough to destroy every beast." He hiccuped and grinned, obviously relishing his tale.
The boy dug into his pouch, producing ten silver coins, and gave them to the old man. "Thank you for the information, old man."
The eyes of the old man sparkled as he grabbed the coins and tucked them into his pocket hastily. As he watched the boy disappear, he scratched his head and grumbled to himself, "He looks familiar. but eh, who cares." Then, in a louder voice, he shouted, "Hey! Two more bottles over here!"

Outside the Tavern
The cool evening air greeted Zephyx as he stepped out of the tavern. A girl with light pink hair and captivating gray eyes followed behind him, her expression curious.
"What are we doing now, Zephyx~?" Sylvia asked playfully, tilting her head as she walked beside him. By
Zephyx's face softened with a hint of sadness as he gazed at the familiar streets of 'Zephyx' hometown. "First, let's look around Tywnpier," he said, his voice carrying both longing and melancholy. Memories of 'Zephyx' stirred within him, vivid and bittersweet.
Sylvia sensed the sorrow on his face and gave him a reassuring smile. "Okay. Lead the way," she said softly, her voice brimming with warmth as she trailed behind him through the town.
It had been three weeks since Sylvia had become a vampire. In that time, they had been traveling together, occasionally fighting beasts that allowed Sylvia to hone her bloodline skills. Zephyx had also discovered something new—he could change the color of his eye but only left eye. With this ability, he had transformed his left red eye to match his right blue one, blending in more easily.
As they wandered through the town, they eventually stopped in front of a small, broken house. The structure looked abandoned, its walls cracked and weathered by time.
"So, they didn't even bother to repair this place," Zephyx muttered, a trace of bitterness in his voice.
Sylvia glanced at him, noticing the flicker of pain in his expression. "Is this your house?" she asked softly, her gray eyes studying his face.
Zephyx nodded, stepping closer to the house. He pushed the door open, and the creak of the hinges echoed in the empty space. Inside, there was nothing—just dust and a suffocating sense of nostalgia.
He stood in the middle of the room, silent, memories of a different time flashing before his eyes. Then, with a heavy sigh, he turned and walked back outside.
Sylvia waited patiently, watching him as he closed the door behind him.
After a moment, Zephyx straightened up, his expression hardening with resolve. "Let's head to the forest," he said, his tone colder now.
Sylvia tilted her head. "Why the forest?"
Zephyx's gaze shifted to the distant trees, his blue eyes filled with cold determination. "For revenge.....if possible."
